The former President of Indian National C ongress a d d re s s e d a m a s s i v e r a l l y at Jaipur on December 11, 2021. The rally originally scheduled to be held in Delhi had to be shifted to Jaipur since the Delhi Government denied permission for the rally. The rally was widely attended by the cadres of Indian National Congress from across the country. Ms. Sonia Gandhi, President of Congress also participated. For more than one reason this rally has become significant. A rally of this magnitude is being org an i z e d an d c on du c te d by Indian National Congress after a long time. The rally is happening at a time the country is facing severe price raise and the humungous financial burden placed on the citizens. Therefore, rightly this rally is called “ Mehangai Hatao Mega Rally”. This rally has also become significant because while In d i an Nat i on a l C on g re s s i s being criticized for not having a permanent elected leader and its leadership to bring together the opposition to ruling disposition under one umbrella, the united Congress leadership on the stage sent a strong message to all and sundry the stability of leadership inside the Congress. Addressing Mr. Modi as Mr. 56, Mr. Gandhi, spoke at length on the draconian Farm Laws, which the Government had to take up, only of course after causing loss of 700+ lives and showing no remorse. Mr. Gandhi, stressing that the Indian Economy thrives on the contributions of Farmers, MSME’s and lamented the callous attitude of Modi led NDA government and apathy towards the marginalized un organized sector. The three factors, Mr. Gandhi argued, that broug ht ab out mis er y on t he citizens of our country, 1. Demonetization, 2. Un planne d and i l l implemented GST and 3. The main idea here is conditioning yourself to stop the loop of rumination (past events) or worrying (about future). Mindfulness Paying attention to the present event. Living the present moment without judging. Mindfulness can be practiced by paying attention to your body and surrounding. Write down your thoughts, Believe in yourself, Stay physically engaged and active. Instead of keeping your thoughts in mind, journal it (write it out).
