ducation is an enlightening experience. It removes scales of ignorance from the mind and illuminate the brain. A child attains knowledge from various sources such as nature, fellow –beings, books, technology etc. But an educational institution and its teachers play a pivotal role in disseminating accurate knowledge. I am happy to learn that students of KJVN are looked after and mentored to be great professionals, I appreciate Fr. Philipose Thunduvalichira CMI and his team for the resilient strategies they applied in the unprecedented pandemic times. Congratulations to the editorial team for their hard work and dedication that has resulted in the publication of this school magazine. May the intercessions of one Heavenly Patron St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara guide us to enlightenment. Best wishes and prayers

I
would like to congratulate Kristu Jyoti Vidya Niketan for having brought out The Aspiring Flame the Annual School Magazine 2019-21. It is indeed a praise worthy work of art and literature. Learning helps an individual to acquire necessary skills which will eventually aid in reaching specific goals. I am happy that though the youngest offshoot of the Kristu Jyoti Family, KJVN has attained paralleled success in providing methodical training to children which would stimulate their all round development. I appreciate and acknowledge the commitment and dedication of the staff and students to print this wonderful creation. May God bless you.

Loving Students, Teachers and Parents, We live through a pandemic and we know how to protect ourselves from infecting this transmittable disease. Covid-19 pandemic forced us to stay home and have our studies through online but we see the sign of rainbow in the horizon. The virus is getting back to its cocoon. People who were working from home started returning to their offices. Nearly half of our students are back to school. Now, online classes mutated into hybrid classes. Albert Einstein once said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” As he has advised, we train our minds to change positively according to different situations. I hope everything will be alright and all our loving students will be back to school next year. Let everything be as joyful as the pre pandemic years. Let us hope for the best. I feel honoured and privileged to be part of KJVN. It is an opportunity for me to learn and discover the purpose of my life. I congratulate all my students who have presented their writings and paintings in this magazine. I sincerely appreciate the hard work done by editorial board. Thank you very much for your great editing job in the Magazine. Thanks to all. Be proud of KJVN.
Fr. Philipose Thunduvalichira CMI Principal of Kristu Jyoti Vidya Niketan
“A vision is not just a picture of what could be, it is an appeal to our better selves, a call to become something more”. When we have a vision that is strong and powerful, nothing can stand in our way.Kristu Jyoti Vidya Niketan has been holding aloft a vision of its own, a vision rich enough to kindle in young hearts an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. The distinctive academic programmes encourage students to develop critical thinking, to develop key personal and social values and to realize their own unique potential.lt is the relentless march towards actualization of dreams over a decade and a sense that we won’t rest on our laurels, that has placed the school in an enviable position. The ineffable blessings of the Almighty and the heavenly intercession of St.Kuriakose Elias Chavara were the sources from which the institution drew all its strength to move forward with confidence. It is indeed my sublime privilege to be a part of the remarkable journey of this esteemed institution. Let Kristu Jyoti VidyaNiketan continue to be a shining star of excellence in the field of education which enlightens and inspires multitude of generations. May God bless you all...

Former Director of Kristu Jyoti Group
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true education”, says Martin Luther King, Junior. We believe education is a key to a productive life style. It is the process by which the character is moulded, strength of mind unfolded and intelligence shaped, as a result of which one can stand undefeated. We are committed to provide an educational experience that is the richest, most diverse and most exciting in an atmosphere that provides support, encouragement and care for every child. Our curriculum is broad and balanced and provides for the academic, moral, physical, creative personal and social development of every child. Still we have to do more but it will be only possible with the benevolent cooperation of our parents. I congratulate all the teaching & Office staff and students for their effort to bring forward this year’s magazine successfully. Thank you.

t is highly gratifying to see Kristu Jyoti Vidya Niketan in the bloom of another remarkable year.lt is incredible that the school has undergone a tremendous growth in the scholastic and co- scholastic areas within a decade. School life is valued to be the best experience of one’s life. It is the phase of life where one learns to express, to create, to explore, to inspire and to innovate thoughts and ideas. It is a child’s school experience that sets the stage for success in life, leaves him with a lifetime of positive memories, diverse ideas and values. I am very proud to say that every single step taken here helps the students to create a feeling of belongingness and positivity towards learning. The growth of this institution is undoubtedly the result of the united efforts of the management, staff, students and parents. Congratulations to all concerned and I am sure that Kristu Jyoti Vidya Niketan will continue to produce passionate young men and women with moral fibre. Fr. t is a matter of great pride that Kristu Jyothi Vidya Niketan is bringing out yet another edition of the Annual school magazine “THE ASPIRING FLAME “. “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel”. The innovation-led education at Kristu Jyothi Vidya Niketan has been able to ignite the spark in every student. I truly appreciate the Principal, Rev.Fr. GRACIAS! his edition of the school magazine ‘The Aspiring Flame’ will not be complete without a note of gratitude to our former principal Rev. Fr. Martin Thayil CMI. It was under father’s impressive organization and incredible passion the school has taken its first take off from the launch pad to the glory of success. The kind gestures you bestowed on this institution has chiselled it to become one of the notable institutions in this Kristu Jyoti campus. We are always indebted to you Father for the qualities that you have imparted on us and the luminous track you have set forth for us to move. Thank you.

he world today is changing at such an accelerated rate that we educators need to pause and show the right path which will teach our students life and living. With our motto ‘Learn Excel Serve’ we are striving to implement a well balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portal of our school will not just love their school but truly be prepared to face challenges that come across their way. Each year is exceptional with its enduring moments that makes it unique. We have sincerely attempted to explicitly express the implicit message of our students to speak the unspoken. This magazine ‘The Aspiring Flame’ acts as a milestone that marks the growth, unfolds the imagination and gives life to thoughts and aspirations of our students in their journey through the year 2019-2021. We place on record our sincere thanks to our Principal Rev. Fr.
