Estudie las situaciones que le presentamos a continuación. Observe qué expresión se usa en cada caso. 1. Usted tiene que ir a una oficina de correos pero no sabe dónde hay una. El uso del Present Simple
Como seguramente habrá podido observar, éste es el tiempo verbal que utilizamos para referirnos a las acciones cotidianas y habituales. Normalmente el Present Simple va acompañado de expresiones de tiempo como: - Las horas. - Los días de la semana. - Los meses y estaciones del año. - Los adverbios de frecuencia. El Present Simple también se utiliza para hablar en términos generales de las actividades que nos agradan o desagradan. Algunos verbos que expresan esto son: ‘Love’, ‘Like’, ‘Enjoy’, ‘Dislike’ y ‘Hate’

Verbos like, love y hate
Estos verbos son transitivos, es decir, necesitan un complemento directo. Este complemento puede ser un sustantivo: I like dogs.
Me gustan los perros.
She loves the theatre.
A ella le encanta el teatro.
They dislike Chinese food.
No les agrada la comida china.
He hates spiders.
Él odia las arañas.
o bien otro verbo puede hacer de complemento: She likes reading biographies.
Le gusta leer biografías.
They love eating out.
Les encanta comer fuera.
He dislikes driving.
No le gusta conducir.
I hate ironing.
Odio planchar.
Como puede ver en los ejemplos, el gerundio se forma añadiendo la terminación '-ing' al infinitivo del verbo.
3. Sheila no tiene novio. George no tiene novia. Deciden inscribirse en la agencia de contactos Lonely Hearts. Lee las respuestas a las preguntas que les hace el formulario de inscripción.

El artículo definido 'the'
Este artículo posee una forma única para el masculino, femenino, singular y plural; es decir su traducción es 'el / la / los / las'. Se usa para designar objetos o personas que ja hemos identificado previamente There's a man at the door. The se usa cuando hablamos de casos particulares; en cambio no se usa cuando hablamos de casos generales: I like _ films but the film on TV tonight is particularly boring. Me gustan las películas pero la de esta noche en la tele es particularmente aburrida.
