Ridgemoor Country Club Reservation/Cancellation Policy GOLF EVENTS Reservations for all golf events will begin at least 30 days before the event. Members can sign up on ForeTees. If a member cancels less than 14 days before an event, the member will be charged the cost for the event based on the number of people registered as of 14 days before the event. It is incumbent on a member to change or modify the number of players in their registration at least 14 days before a golf event.

For the Ridgemoor Invitational, at the time the member confirms participation in the event with the Pro Shop, the member will be charged a non-refundable reservation fee of $250 that will be applied to the member’s final bill for the event. A member must cancel at least 30 days before the first day of the Invitational to avoid a cancellation fee; cancellations within 30 days of the first day of the Invitational will be charged a cancellation fee in the amount of the full entry fee for the event. The Committee sponsoring golf events reserves the right to modify the cancellation policy for a specific event. If this is done, the cancellation policy for the event will be published to inform the membership

DISPUTE OF CANCELLATION A member can submit a request for a cancellation fee to be waived by presenting a written request with verifiable evidence to the General Manager of Ridgemoor within 7 days after the event. All such written requests for waiver of a cancellation fee will be considered by the Board of Directors.

Rules of Play 1. All matches must be played on or before the scheduled date. Players, by mutual consent, must play their match in the allotted time frame. If a match has not been played by the deadline date and both players are in agreement, the players may decide who should move on to the next round. If participants fail to play the match by the deadline date and they are not in agreement, a coin flip (done by the Golf Professional Staff) will determine who wins the match and moves on to the next round. 2. Players will use their current CDGA handicap for all matches unless if a player’s handicap rises throughout the event, he must play at his lowest handicap during the entire period of Class Trophy. The player with the lower handicap will play at “scratch” and his opponent will receive the difference between their handicaps. This player will receive the strokes on the lowest handicap holes where they fall on the scorecard. 3. Champion and Chairman players must play the Gold set of tees. President, Officer and Director players must determine what tees you are playing prior to their 1st Match. You must play those tees throughout the entire event. Handicaps will be based on tees played. 4. A player may choose to move up a flight, however your handicap will be reduced to the maximum handicap in that particular flight. 5. Prior to the play of each match, the players shall receive an Official Scorecard, which will be filled out by a member of the Golf Professional Staff. This scorecard must be turned into the Golf Shop following the completion of the match. Failure to turn in the scorecard will result in the disqualification of both players in the match. All scores will be posted according to WHS (World Handicap System) rules as a competition score. 6. Any match tied after 18 holes will be resolved by a “sudden death” playoff starting at the first hole. 7. The USGA Rules of Golf always apply as well as the Local Rules posted in the Locker Room. The 14 Club Rule is in effect.

If two teams are tied after the 3 Matches, the first tie breaker would be head-to-head competition. If the teams are still tied, then the team with the most Ups overall would be the winner. For this reason, please finish out each hole for every match.

The winning teams in each division (USA and Europe) will compete in a one hole singles playoff on the 18th Hole. Please note there will be no shots awarded on the 18th Hole. The captain with the most points during the event will make the first selection. The other captain will be required to match a player from the same grouping up against the first captain’s two picks (i.e. and A Player from team 1 will play against any of A players from team 2) thus creating the first foursome. Then the captain that selected second will make the next two consecutive picks creating the second foursome. The captains will continue selecting players until all players have played or until one team gets enough points to win. Each match is worth one point. The first team to 5.5 points is the winner. All other players and spouses/significant others are encouraged to gather on the patio and watch the exciting finish. Sudden Death – If the playoff ends in a 5-5 tie, the captains will be able to select any player they wish to compete in a sudden death format. The captains will continue to select players until a winner is decided.
