rand Banks Yachts have a 50 year heritage of building luxurious, trawler-hull motor yachts in Asia for an appreciative global customer base. Originally conceived in Hong Kong in the late 1950’s, the construction factory relocated firstly to Singapore and then in 1995, to Johor Bahru in south Malaysia because of easy access to an unlimited pool of highly skilled craftsmen, especially in hard wood. Grand Banks yachts are renown for their quality of design, immaculate finish, comfort of accommodation and their cruising efficiency - and their revolutionary new GB85 model embodies all of these desirable characteristics in the first superyacht design the company has ever built. Hull number 1 og the GB85 will be exhibited at the 2022 Florida Boat Show before being delivered to Bermuda for its new owners

eonardo Helicopters has sold multiple AW 109, SAW 139 and AW 189 rotor wing aircraft to different agencies of the Malaysian Government. This first video and photographic air to air shoot is to dramatize the capabilities of the talented crews of Maritim Malaysia as they train for offshore patrol and rescue assignments into the Straits of Malacca and the South China Sea.

elta Airlines USA commissioned a series of branding commercials to illustrate many of the fascinating locations and cultures their passengers can enjoy after flying with the airline. Locations in Brazil and Malaysia were dressed and decorated to represent the multitude of different destinations the airline currently flies to. With the support of a 8K Cineflex helicopter camera from Thomas Miller of Blue Sky Aerials in California, Aerial Marine Media used an Airbus AS355 to shoot the complex aerial maneuvers and imagery illustrated on the storyboard. They filmed sunrise skylines over the CBD of Kuala Lumpur before then flying to the Cameron Highlands for high-altitude background plates which would eventually include the Delta Airlines plane in flight.

roviding Sony Pictures with camera services to shoot the Asia marketing media interviews for the 2020 release of The Grudge motion picture film for cinema. We shot more than 20 different interviews including with the film’s director Nicolas Pesce and primary star Lin Shaye, for Sydney based producer Adam Butler who was responsible to Sony Pictures for shooting material for the project launch in Asia.

SC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) was established by Gianluigi Aponte in 1970 and it is currently the largest and most successful, privately-owned shipping company in the world. Between 1999 - 2012 Aerial Marine Media circumnavigated the globe on multiple expeditions with N.Y. production company Lifestyle International to shoot 100% of the corporate video requirements of this Geneva based, culturally Italian, maritime company. The camera team travelled to all of the following countries to interview executives and shoot overlay of the container shipping industry: Brazil, Algeria, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Italy, Australia, France, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, Togo, Saudi Arabia, Holland, Germany,

erminal Investments Ltd constructs and manages container shipping terminals around the world. It was founded in 2000 to find berths and develop capacity in major ports for the world’s largest privately owned shipping company, M.S.C. New York production company, Lifestyle International were invited to make a branding film for TIL and they hired with Aerial Marine Media and a production team to travel to the African country of Togo as well as Saudi Arabia, Turkey and India to film the trade potential of new container ports being built on those countries. TIL now have 35 operating ports in 22 countries.

etween 1989 - 1996, Australian producer Phil Robertson, DOP Laurie K Gilbert and a support team of HK audio and lighting technicians travelled throughout China making more than 50 short, financial video films on PRC companies planning a listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Over a period of 7 years, the production team travelled to manufacturing and processing plants, design organisations and software companies in literally every province of mainland China. The films they made were designed to be shown to bankers and potential investors as an integral part of every company’s listing process.

Project: Branding The Turkish Stars Aerobatic Team Locations: Ankara, Konya, Istanbul, Izmir in Turkey
I
n 2001 the Turkish Air Force was 90 years old making it the second oldest in the world. Aerial Marine Media was invited to travel to Turkey to make a series of branding films on the supersonic Top Gun pilots of the Turkish Stars. The DOP spent six weeks flying in-cockpit with the team, filming high altitude, G force maneuvers with the camera mounts he designed and state of the art mini DV cameras. The resulting films won multiple awards for best cinematography at festivals in New York and in Asia.

series of short films to promote the intense action, drama and colour of the 2018-2019 Asian Le Mans Racing Series created by the Automobile Club de L’Ouest. The winner of the Asian series gets an invitation to race at the 24 Hours Of Le Mans. The promo series was directed by Johnny Lopez of EPM in Sydney and the presenter was Malaysian television personality Nadia Nash.

xtensive HD video coverage of the Malaysia production facility operated in Port Klang by the prestigious, Canadian office furniture company, Teknion. The shoot was commissioned by Torontobased media organisation, Yellowbrick Communications and was designed to document the visit of Canadian corporate executives and illustrate the highest standard of Malaysian craftsmanship in all of the factory’s international exports.

xtensive multi-camera coverage of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Series at Sepang raceway using multiple car-mounted, track side and pit side cameras to make a web broadcast of the event to brand Ferrari and their sponsors. The coverage is directed by Greg Eaton and is produced for the event organisers by Greg’s Sydney-based television company, EPM.

erial Marine Media have been supplying the exploration division of Danish maritime company Maersk Drilling with specialist helicopter aerial photography of new rigs and drill ships for more than a decade. Flying offshore from Thailand, Indonesia or Malaysia, an average aerial photographic expedition generates more than 400 hi-res images from state of the art Canon camera bodies and gyro stabilised, prime lenses. Maersk Drilling still use the photographic imagery for all their marketing and corporate communication at trade shows, in magazines, for press releases and extensively on the web.

This imagery which is shot around tropical islands in the South China Sea is then supplied by Grand Banks corporate to prestigious, global yachting magazines and boat shows to generate interest and potential sales, especially in the USA.

The interviews are part of a potential series with ex-Melbourne graduates living and working in Asia, on the business challenges currently facing companies trading from the region into an international market.

television documentary for French company Louis Vuitton showing the involvement of their commercially sponsored Opera House hot air balloon as it competed in the 1988 Trans Australia Balloon Challenge, the first trans-continental race of its kind in the world. 76 international balloons and 720 intrepid balloonists traversed the Australian continent from Perth to Sydney in 21 days. We supplied Paris with footage they could use for advertising, public relations promotion and documentary purposes.

photo essay commissioned by the New York based Yachting Magazine to illustrate the timeless, traditional Malaysian craftsmanship involved in the manufacture of every Grand Banks yacht which leaves the assembly line in Johor Bahru for the American market. Aerial Marine Media spent three days with a New York journalist Kevin Koenig interviewing and photographing the tradesmen as they handcrafted every aspect of the interior of each boat on the assembly line.

series of 35mm film commercials directed by Sydney based director Les Sharpe to brand Caltex Vortex in Asia. Sequences were shot with a Malaysian support crew in photogenic locations around Kuala Lumpur utilizing a camera tracking vehicle and also a helicopter for critical aerials.

ver a period of three years Aerial Marine Media made monthly expeditions from Singapore to a shipyard on the Indonesian Island of Bataan to photograph the construction progress of multiple livestock transportation ships for their Italian owners, Siba Ships. The photographic and time lapse imagery covered the entire process from the initial keel laying to the final launch of each ship.

Snakewell - The Heroes of Shell 35mm TVC

TVC involving 35mm helicopter aerials shot offshore from the Sultanate of Brunei for Malaysia company Biscuit Films and Shell UK. The project was part of the “Heroes of Shell” global branding campaign about the Dutch engineer, Jaap who invented the flexible Snakewell drilling technique to recover oil from challenging sea bed situations. An Australia based Tyler mount was installed inside a Sea King helicopter to shoot the offshore aerials of the Champion West drilling rig which is now using the Snakewell technique with considerable commercial success.

ten day shooting expedition into the oil and gas exploration fields 400 kms offshore from the Vietnamese city of Vung Tau. The French client, Perenco was transporting and installing the jacket for an offshore processing facility and they required HCMC production company Crea-TV toshoot and post produce extensive coverage of the event on video and photographic stills. The use of a Canon C300 to shoot the video and a Canon 1DX to shoot the stills made everything interchangeable and much more easy for a one

35mm film commercial commissioned by DBS Bank through Singapore television network Media Corps involving time lapse and complex aerial sequences over Sydney Harbour and the Blue Mountains. The pilot was Gary Ticehurst, probably Australia’s most experienced film pilot and the camera crew operated out of a Bell Long Ranger for the door mount shooting and a second Jet ranger fitted with a nose mount for the spectacular Blue Mountains sequences.

Danny Natalies is the head of IT at the university and in an on-camera testimonial he described how Veeam have designed and installed a comprehensive and reliable backup system for all of Atma Jaya’s valuable data.

A
corporate video production to market the expertise of business conglomerate Swire Pacific of Hong Kong - including property development, beverage, aviation, marine services, port operation and aircraft maintenance in Xiamen, China. Over a seven day shoot the team travelled extensively through Hong Kong and China, including shooting improvised aerial footage of the HAECO aviation facility in Xiamen from an historic, Russian Antanov An-2 biplane which was being used for map survey work. The director of the project was Niall Phelan.

O
ne of the very first corporate video films ever made in Vietnam was produced by Othello Khahn and his company Crea TV for their client BP Vietnam. As well as shooting the operation of the exploration rig 400 kms offshore in the Nam Con Son gas fields, the team spent several days shooting extensive helicopter aerial coverage of the rigs as well as the pipeline and processing infrastructure in the Mekong River delta. This was also the first time the Vietnamese Government facilitated a helicopter for aerials for a corporate film in Vietnam.

corporate video to market the extensive fleet network and capabilities of Mediterranean based company, SNAV Ferries from Naples, Italy. The production team criss crossed the region from central Italy to Sardinia, Spain, France and Croatian to film the freight and passenger operation which links more than a dozen European cities with cost effective, overnight sailings. The director was Corinna Sager of New York production company Lifestyle International.

erminal 3 in Changi Airport was radically modified and refurnished in 2009 to accommodate the arrival of the Singapore Airlines Airbus A380, the first airline in the world to operate this mega plane. Director Dave Pretty and Singapore production house CVA were then commissioned by the CAAS to make a marketing film to advertise and promote the updated Terminal 3 facilities in what is considered to be one of the very best airports in the world.

In 2017 it merged with Enterprise Services to create DX Technology but prior to that merger, Aerial Marine Media spent several years filming corporate communications films to market the company's capabilities in countries such as China, Malaysia, India, Sweden, France, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei.
