Hulum, W.C. Berwick Sayers, H.E. Bliss and S.R. Ranganathan, However, the theory put forward by S.R. Ranganathan predominates the whole book because his contribu on is far more than anybody else's. Five major schemes of Classifica on, Library of Congress Classifica on, Colon Classifica on and Bliss Biblio-Graphic Classifica on, have also been discussed. Library Classifica on is a specialized area of study and now it has become a vast and complicated subject using highly technical terminology. In recent years, there has been some decline in the study of Classifica on but in the changing context, especially due to introduc on of computers, new approaches to classifica on are being studied with vigour, giving an impetus to this area.
