Preface Harika is the daughter of Renuka, a genetic scientist. Renuka wanted her daughter to be safe in the cruel world so she injected a genetic medicine into her daughter when she was 14 years old as she wanted to make her strong. The medicine worked on her daughter and she got psychic power which could bend a spoon using her mind power. But things were not normal in Harika’s real world. Harika was afraid of the world and she never wanted to use her power as she wanted to live a normal life. And she was living a normal life until she met Ravan. Ravan is an animator who is always interested in sci-fi films and wished to meet a real-life hero.

CHAPTER ONE

Savior Harika was returning from her college and she was passing through a narrow street. While she was walking through the street, a bike was hit by a car from back and a guy fell on the other side of the road. Everything happened before Harika and she was in shock. A bus was approaching towards that guy with full speed and he saw Harika at that moment and he closed his eyes and he wished if he could live for her. When he opened his eyes, he was lying on the streets and everyone surrounded him. Harika used her psychic power and saved him from being hit by the bus. Harika left the place soon after saving him and it is the first time, she used her power to save someone. Soon after reaching home, Harika told to her mother “Mom, today I used my power and saved a guy from an accident.” Renuka (Mother) said “Oh I though you would never use your power, dear. But I’m happy that you saved someone’s life.” Harika said “During the accident, the guy looked into my eyes and I felt like he wanted to convey something. It was a strange feeling.” Renuka said “May be he wanted help.” •1•

Harika said “Yes mom.” Renuka said “You better not go through that street again.” Harika said “Ok mom” and she went inside her room. Renuka to herself “I just want you to be safe, dear.” Harika wanted to know what happened to that guy so she turned ON her laptop and Googled about the accident which took place near VSP, sector 11. There was a live telecast and one of the reporters asked: “What is your name and how did you manage to survive from being hit by the bus?” The guy said “My name is Ravan and I’m an animator at MX studio. Coming to the accident, I don’t know how I survived.” The reporter asked, “Did anyone save you?” Ravan said, “I think one girl saved me and I want to convey a message to her.” The reporter said, “Yes you can convey.” Ravan said “Hey girl, I know you shall be watching the live telecast. I want to tell that you are my hero and thank you for saving my life.” Harika who was watching the live telecast blushed and she noted his name in her mobile. Preethi, Ravan’s elder sister came to the accident spot after Ravan called her. Preethi was so worried about her brother and she was sweating a lot due to tension. Preethi asked “Are you fine bro?” Ravan said “Yes sis.” Preethi scolded “How many times should I tell you to drive slowly?” Ravan said “It was not my fault.” Preethi said “Ok let’s go home first in our car.” •2•

Ravan said “What about my bike?” Preethi gave an angry look and Ravan said “Ok I get it” and he parked the bike aside which was in a bad condition. After getting into the car, Ravan narrated the whole story and Preethi couldn’t believe it. Preethi said “Maybe you hit your head bad.” Ravan said “ha ha…I expected that answer.” Preethi said “Oh yeah?” Ravan said “Sis, I think I love her.” Preethi was stunned and said “What??” Ravan said “Love at first sight.” Preethi said “bro how does she look?” and started kidding with him. Ravan said “Sis, don’t tell about the accident.” Preethi said “I won’t tell but I can’t stop the TV telecast.” Ravan said “Oh no, I just got too much excited before media. Damn it.” Preethi laughed.

CHAPTER TWO

Only Eyes Harika started going in different ways to avoid any contact from Ravan. But after one week, when Harika was returning from college, she came across Ravan in a new way and he was standing still and observing the people who were passing by. Suddenly Ravan started approaching Harika and her heart started to beat like an F1 car engine. Ravan stopped a girl who was walking before Harika and he asked: “Have you seen me before here?” The girl said “No…” Ravan said “Oh I’m sorry.” Harika understood that he doesn’t remember her face. Next Ravan asked Harika “Have you seen me before?” Harika said “Yes…” Ravan got excited and asked “Were you the girl who saved me?” Harika said “No… no… no… I saw you on TV.” Ravan gave an awful look and said “Oh sorry for the inconvenience.” Harika said “Can I ask you one question?” Ravan said “Yes…” Harika asked “Don’t you remember her face?” •4•

Ravan said “Actually I remember only her eyes.” Harika was wearing goggles and said to herself “Thank god, he didn’t ask me to remove my goggles.” Ravan told himself “It won’t be good to look into some other girl’s eyes, Ravan.” Harika said “Don’t worry, you will meet her soon” and she was leaving the place. Ravan asked “thank you, friend.” Harika smiled and didn’t turn back. Ravan got a call from his office and told him to come right away. Ravan went back to his office and he entered the boss cabin. Boss said “You think that car hit your bike accidentally, right.” Ravan said “Yes sir.” Boss said “Don’t forget that you are working for the cybersecurity department?” Ravan asked “So you want to tell me that it was done intentionally.” Boss said “You having been working on the data tapping on mobile phones done by the mafia and someone noticed that.” Ravan said “But how did they come across my identity.” Boss said “I think they just got a doubt. My advice is to be away from that investigation for a few days.” Ravan said “As you command, sir.” Boss said “So take leave for 1 month.” Ravan said “Yes sir.” Ravan works under the government for cyber data security which is run secretly. He has a great track record of solving many cybercrimes. His original identity is kept secret so the world knows that he is an animator. Actually •5•

he like animation films and does know how to do animation. After coming outside the building, Ravan told to himself “So now I get time to find my girl.” On the other hand, Harika told everything to her mother and said “Mom, I think he likes me.” Mom said “Everyone likes you as my daughter looks beautiful.” Harika said “But I feel that he is not like every guy.” Mom said “You were just impressed by his good words, dear.” Harika said “Maybe you are right, mom.” Harika went inside her room and started looking at her eyes in the mirror and told herself “Does he really not remember my face? Ahh… can he really identify me by looking into my eyes.”

CHAPTER THREE

Secure Harika wanted to know if Ravan found any girl by mistake. So Harika decided to ask Ravan when she meets him. Harika was passing through sector 11 street and she was walking as if she is entering some enemy territory. A voice came from back of her saying “Heyyy hi…” Harika got scared and jumped forward and her goggles fallen down. Harika recognized the voice so she immediately took the goggles first and then turned back. It was Ravan and he said “Sorry, I think I have scared you.” Harika said “No I’m fine” and she smiled. Ravan asked “Are you looking for someone?” Harika said “No. no… but why did you get that doubt?” Ravan said “You were looking around everyone and walking slowly. So I felt like that.” Harika said “Actually I wanted to know whether you found that girl or not?” Ravan said “Not yet, friend. The thing is I don’t have courage to look into a girl’s eye.” Harika laughed and said “They how do you plan to find her.” Ravan took out a mobile and asked “Do you know about this mobile?” •7•
