PREFACE My hearty greetings and Namaste to Readers. I have written 51 Songs’ Sargam books of Mukesh-1,2, Kishor-1,2, Lata, Asha, Manna dey, Kumar Shanu, Yesudas, Rafi-1,2,3,4 and SD Burman’s composed song book in Hindi Language and translated many books in English SARGAM and Western CDEFG. One Gazal Sargam book is also published. All these books are available online. Now I have translated the SD Burman & Yesudas book in Western CDEF notes, so that fans can play and sing songs and get enjoyed. In this book 51 selected song’s notations are provided in simple way. A person having basic knowledge of music can play the songs on any instrument. Mostly song’s notations are written in original scale but somewhere you have to transpose +1 or – 1 or +2 etc to get original scale. Sa taken is also mentioned in each song’s detail. When two notes are written adjacending to each other it means you have to play the notes in one beat or matra as MP. Notations at the beginning of the song are prelude and notations in the middle of the song are interlude. These notations are written by me by my experience. Hope, readers shall understand, like and enjoy it. One has to practice sargam daily and its palte also so that one can become expert in playing difficult notes sequence. People can enjoy your playing instruments and then only your success will be counted.
