For centuries such a person Will never be born again One who will guide me to live A dauntless life again The words are innumerable Which I can say to praise him I am not even the dust of his feet Never made me realize the absence of my parents Now my eyes are moist forever He taught me all the skills of life to endeavour He made me realize Certain vital aspects of life It is easy to earn money but difficult to gain respect If one does one’s duties with honesty and dedication Life will become smoother for the coming generations Happiness is in store for the one who is punctual When difficult times arise

KOHINOOR The Journey of a Woman
Just bow your head Leave all your problems In the hands of WAHEGURU Learn such lessons in life That helps you move forward in life He quoted the words of Kabir “When we come into this world I cried and the world laughed When I leave this world The world cries and I laugh”

Heart
of
Gold
Sitting on the jewel-studded throne you ponder To create something magical out of thunder The process will be quite gradual To mould something incorrigible A sublime creature for the earth A companion for man on earth It will be a woman of worth Will carry a womb to give birth A mystical beauty from head to toe Men will forever be her friend or foe Her alluring eyes will scrutinize the world Her lips will be full and impeccable Her skin flawless and unblemished He will place in her a heart of gold To bear the passions new and old Her bosom will feed an infant God does not want her to be ignorant Her curvaceous body will attract 11
KOHINOOR The Journey of a Woman
Many a men will it distract She will care for the agonies and jubilations God has enhanced the generation By shaping a pure and innocent creation
12
Equality Redefined When I lay my eyes on suffering women The subtle words of Guru Nanak Dev ji I remember “Why call her bad? From her the kings are born” The founder of Sikhism Completely fathomed feminism Women are God’s creation They are not just for procreation A humble soul more bent A future she dreamt Don’t be gender biased Let feminism be praised Patchy are most men Be more benevolent towards women Compatible should be her place Give her indispensable space For generations may come and go Let all men dismiss their ego

Mountain of Light
Some five thousand years ago The jewel of Syamantaka did glow It adorned the neck of Sun God Satrajit an ardent devotee of Sun God He was so enraptured with Satrajit He gifted him a jewel unique He rushed with the glittering jewel to Dwarka Where he came face-to-face with Lord Krishna He ordered him to gift it to Ugrasena
14
HARMEET KAUR
Satrajit thought of a different plan He handed the diamond to his brother Prasen He cherished the priceless gift Now no one else could lift He went out with it to the forest He got killed by the king of the jungle The lion got hold of the Syamantaka Suddenly appeared the king of bears, Jambavan The lion was killed and the jewel was snatched The blame for the stolen jewel fell on Krishna He went to the forest for the mission uncertain The fight continued for twenty-eight days At last Jambavan fell down and prayed He realized it was difficult to conquer Krishna The jewel was returned to the Lord with pride Along with his daughter Jambavati as a bride Lord Krishna welcomed her as his wife The jewel was not valuable than their life Satrajit got the jewel back from Lord Krishna He felt ashamed for doubting Krishna The jewel is believed to be Kohinoor The Mountain of Light so dear
