“Okay class. Quiet dow please. I have some important information to share.” the other students around mariam looked excited
“Tommorow is Eid-al Ahda,so I will not be seeing you. I will expect you to behave while off school.bye-” The
bell rang and all of the students sprung out of their seats and grabbed their backpacks
When Mariam got home he looked at his mother confusingly.. “What’s wrong dear? Something troubling you?” “My teacher is talking about Eid al-Adha but I don’t know what it is?”
Eid al-Adha is also known as the feast of sacrifice. It is a day where most muslims take off school and work and exchange gifts!” “”Why do we celebrate this mother?”
“Good question!” The feast of sacrifice signifies abraham in christianity and judiasim, to sacrafice his son, ismal as ordered by alah. What does Eid al-Adha look like?
Look at these photos! This is what Eid ah-Ahda looks like.
”Thank you for explaining it to me! What is the story behind Eid al-Adha?” The story behind it is the Quran. Ibrahim has dream where Allah commands him to sacrifice his son, Ismal! As a sign of obedience in god.
“Oh wow! So what am I doing tomorrow while away from school?”
“You will get some gifts from me and papa. Then we will go visit neighbors houses to celebrate!”
