FROM THE EXECUTIVE HEADMASTER Dear Class of 2022, by the time you read my message, you would have already received your matric results. I know that there was much angst and anticipation in the small hours of 18 January, and I trust that you achieved results proportionate to the effort and hard work you put in. As I mentioned at your Speech Night and Valediction Service, 2022 was a year for the record books. You, our Matrics of 2022, led the school out of the Covid cloud, re-building solid foundations. It was a busy year – a year where you had to juggle so much more than the previous two years – keeping the balance between your academics and a full co-curricular programme. Congratulations on achieving a 100% Pass and a 96% Bachelor’s Degree Pass. Your matric certificate represents the culmination of over a decade of schooling. While this is the end of a
chapter, it is the start of many more exciting and challenging chapters in your life. While reflecting on these years, I ask that you do acknowledge and thank your parents and your teachers who worked tirelessly to teach, guide and support you throughout your time at school. You are now equipped to enter the next phase in your lives with the confidence that your school years have prepared you well for all that lies ahead. Clifton College Class of 2022 – once again, congratulations. I wish you all the best for the future, and I look forward to engaging with you over the years, as proud Old Boys of “This Our Clifton School”. Yours sincerely, Clyde Mac Donald Executive Headmaster
