Taking Care of Your Portable Digital Drum Location

Handling and Transport

• Do not expose the unit to the following conditions to avoid deformation, discoloration, or more serious damage. • Direct sunlight. • High temperature (near a heat source, or in a car during the day time). • Excessive humidity. • Excessive dust. • Strong vibration

• Never apply excessive force to the controls, connectors or other parts of the instrument. • Always unplug cables by gripping the plug firmly, but not pulling on the cable.! Disconnect all cables before moving the instrument. • Physical shocks caused by dropping, bumping, or placing heavy objects on the instrument can result in scratches and more serious damage.

Power Supply

• Turn the power switch OFF when the instrument is not in use. • If an AC adaptor is used, it should be unplugged from the AC outlet if the instrument is not to be used for an extended period of time. • Unplug the AC adaptor during electric storms. • Avoid plugging the AC adaptor into the same AC outlet as appliance with high power consumption, such as electric heaters or ovens. Also avoid using multi-plug adaptors since these can result in reduced sound quality, operation errors, and possibly damage.

Cleaning

• Clean the cabinet and panel with a dry soft cloth. • A slightly damp cloth may be used to remove stubborn grime and dirt. • Never use cleaners such as alcohol or thinner. • Avoid placing vinyl object on top of the unit (vinyl can stick to and discolor the surface).

Turn Power OFF When Making Connections

Electrical Interference

• This instrument contains digital circuitry and may cause interference if placed too close to radio or television receivers. If this occurs, move the instrument further away from the affected equipment.

• To avoid damage to the instrument and other devices to which it is connected, turn off the power switches of all related device prior to connecting or disconnecting cables.

Setting up Power Supply Your digital drum will run on either batteries or power adaptor. Follow the instructions below according to the power source you ingtend to use.

Using an AC- Adaptor 1

Conect the power adaptor to the DC IN jack located on the rear panel of the unit, and plug the AC power adaptor into an AC power outlet.

Close the battery compartement securely.

NOTES Power will be automatically drawn from the AC adaptor if an optional AC adaptor is connected while batteries are installed in the instrument.

Do not use adaptors other than the one specified. The technical specification of the adaptor is DC 12V output, center positive type.

CAUTION It is recommended that you replace worn batteries as soon as possible. When battery voltage drops, the display will dim and / or the sound will become distorted, when this occurs, replace the batteries with a complete set of six new batteries of the same type.

Using Batteries

Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the unit.

NEVER mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (alkaline, magnesium, etc.), Batteries by different makers, or batteries from the same maker but of different types. Misuse may cause the instrument to become hot, result in fire, or battery leakage. Also, to prevent damage due to battery leakage, remove all the batteries from the instrument when it is not to be used for an extended period of time. Batteries left in an unused instrument will also loose their power overtime.

Insert six “C” size, R 14, SUM-2 or equivalent batteries. When inserting the batteries, be care to follow the polarity markings in the illustration. Note: we suggest to use the alkaline batteries.

Using Headphones An optional set of stereo headphones can be connected to the PHONES/OUT PUT jack located on the rear panel. When a pair of headphones is connected to the jack, the internal speakers of the unit will switch off automatically, perfect for private practice or late night playing. If you want to use an external sound system, the headphone jack can also be used to connect the digital drum to a stereo system or mixing console.

Turn off the power on all equipment before making any connections.

Operation Select a Drum Kit Kit menu is the default menu after power on, default value is 001. Press [kit] button to enter kit menu. The 3-digit LED will show the current kit number with the corresponding menu indicator lit up. The button select [+] / [ ] or [dial] can be used to select any kit (1-30, loop) as current kit.

Set Pad Voice Press [ pad assign ] button to enter pad assign menu. Default value will be the voice value of crash pad based on different kit selected. For example, if kit 001 has been selected, then press pad assign, the value on LED will be 96, as this is the voice value on crash pad. If pad assign menu is selected the corresponding menu indicator will be lit up. In this menu, the 3-digit LED will show the voice numberof current pad, which can be selected by pressing pad button on the top panel or by pad hitting. The button select [+] / [ ] or [dual] can be used to select any voice (1-215, loop) for current pad.

Set pad volume Press [ volume ] button to enter pad assign menu. If pad assign menu is selected,the corresponding menu indicator will be lit up. In this menu, the 3-digit LED will show the volume of current pad, which can be selected by pressing pad button on the top panel or by pad hitting. The button select [+] / [ ] or [dial] can be used to select the volume (0-9, loop) for current pad.

Set pad pan Press [pan] button to enter pad assign menu. If pad assign menu is selected, the corresponding menu indicator will be lit up. In this menu, the 3-digit LED will show the pan of current pad, which can be selected by pressing pad button on the top panel or by pad hitting. The button select [+] / [ ] or [ dial ] can be used to select the pan ( 0-9, loop ) for current pad.

Set pad gain Press [gain] button to enter pad assign menu. If pad assign menu is selected, the corresponding menu indicator will be lit up. In this menu, the 3-digit LED will show the gain of current pad, which can be selected by pressing pad assign button on the top panel or by pad hitting. The button select [+] / [ ] or [ dial ] can be used to select the gain (0-9, loop) for current pad.

Save Kit Press [save] button to enter the kit save menu.The button select [+] / [ ] or [ dial ] can be used to select a user kit ( 21-30, loop) current kit setting. During kit selecting the user kit number will keep flashing. Press [ save ] button again, the current kit setting will be saved to the selected kit. The machine will quit to the kit menu and select this user kit as the current one, if all the data has been saved successfully. If saving is failed due to error, an Err will appear on the LED. NOTE: The unsaved kit setting will be lost after kit changing.

Play Song Press [song] button to enter song menu. Default valueis 001, The 3-digit LED will show current song number with corresponding menu indicator lit up. The button select [+] / [ ] or [dial] can be used to select current song ( 1-100, loop ). First 80 styles are loop playing. Press [ start / stop ] to start or stop the song player. If song is switched while it’s playing, the new song will not start until the end of current measure. Each song has its own default tempo and drum kit, the song player will initialize the current kit and current tempo at the beginning of song playing.

Main Volume In main volume menu, the digit on far left of LED will display letter ‘L’. The two digits on the right will display current main volume. The button select Master Volume [+] / [ ] can be used to adjust the volume ( 0-9, not loop ). And this value will be auto-saved after adjusted.

Accompaniment Volume In accompaniment volume menu, the digit on far left of LED will display letter ‘A’. The two digits on the right will display current accompaniment volume. The button select or [dial] can be used to adjust the volume ( 0-9, not loop ). This value will be auto-saved after adjusted.

Drum Off Pressing [ drum off ] button will enable or disable the drum off function when a song is playing. If drum off is enabled, the drum voice will be turned off with the drum off indicator lit on. This function is quite useful for practicing. 9

Tempo Press the tempo [+] and [-] button to enter the tempo menu. Button [+] and [-] can be used to change current tempo ( 30-280, not loop ), which affects the speed ofclicking, and song playing. Press both and will reset current tempo to its default value (current song tempo).

Metronome The metronome will run once a song is playing but with only indicator flashing. Press once on [ click ] button for human voice counting. Press twice on [click] for clicking sound. Press again to turn off the clicking.

Hand Percussion

Press [hand perc] button to enter the hand percussion mode with the hand mode indicator lit up. The song number is 5 and the kit number is 21.

Demo Press [demo] button to start or stop demo song playing. The 3-digit LED will display dE , you can also press [ start / stop ] button to stop demo song playing.

Reverb Press [ reverb ] button to enter reverb function. In this menu, the digit on far left of LED will display letter ‘R’. The two digits on the right will display current reverb level. The button select [+] / [ ] or [dial] can be used to adjust the reverb level (0-3, not loop). This value will be autosaved after adjusted.

Record Prepare to Record Select the desired song, drum kit, tempo, drum off setting, and reverb settings. Start Recording Press the [rec] button, the light start flashing. Press the [start/stop] button or strike the pad, the light stop flashing and the recording process starts. Stop Recording To stop recording, press the [start / stop] button or [ rec ] button. The record indicator will turn off. If the memory isfull, “FL” will appear on the display and recording process stops automatically Note: When you start the recording, the vocal metronome also starts to count. But the sound of the vocal will not be record. To stop the metronome, press the [click] button.

Playback Press the [play/stop] button will start or stop playing recorded song. Note: When you record a new song, it will replace the previous recording. The song data recorded will be lost when you turn off the power. 11

USB jack this appliance will output all the MIDI codes generated by pads hitting or pedal stepping via the MIDI output connector. clicking and the MIDI codes in songs are excluded. It s also receive the MIDI data from external device.

Instalación Alimentación Su batería digital usará pilas o un adaptador de corriente. Siga estas instrucciones según la fuente de alimentación que vaya a usar.

Si se usa un adaptador CA 1

Conecte el adaptador al jack DC IN situado en el panel y enchufe el adaptador CA en la toma de corriente CA.

Cierre el compartimento de la batería de forma segura.

NOTAS La corriente se tomará automáticamente del adaptador CA si hay un adaptador CA opcional conectado mientras las pilas estén instaladas en el instrumento.

Use solo el adaptor que se indica. La especificación técnica del adaptador es CC 12V, de tipo centro positivo.

PRECAUCIÓN Es recomendable sustituir las pilas agotadas lo antes posible. Cuando el voltaje de la pila baje, el visualizador se atenuará y/o el sonido se oirá distorsionado. Cuando esto suceda, cambie las pilas con un juego nuevo de seis pilas del mismo tipo.

Si se usan pilas Abra la cubierta del compartimento de pilas en la parte inferior de la unidad

NO mezcle nunca pilas nuevas y viejas, tipos de pilas diferentes (alcalinas, de magnesio, etc.), pilas de marcas diferentes o de la misma marca pero de tipos diferentes. El uso incorrecto puede hacer que el instrumento se caliente, causar un incendio o fugas de las pilas.

Inserte pilas de tamaño “C”, R-14, SUM-2 o equivalentes. Al insertar las pilas, tenga cuidado de observar las marcas de polaridad de la ilustración.

Asimismo, para prevenir daños causados por fugas de las pilas, extraiga las pilas del instrumento cuando no vaya a ser usado durante un período de tiempo prolongado. Las pilas que permanezcan en un instrumento sin utilizar también perderán su corriente con el tiempo.

Nota: recomendamos usar pilhas alcalinas.

Usar auriculares Se puede conectar un juego opcional de auriculares estéreo en el jack PHONES/OUTPUT situado en el panel posterior. Al conectar un par de auriculares al jack, los altavoces internos de la unidad se apagarán automáticamente, lo que es perfecto para una práctica en privado o al tocar a altas horas de la noche. Si quiere usar un sistema de sonido externo, el jack de auriculares también se puede usar para conectar la batería digital al sistema estéreo o mesa de mezclas.

Manejo Escoger una batería El menú de baterías es el menú por defecto tras en-cender el instrumento; el valor por defecto es 001. Pulse [kit] para acceder al menú de baterías. El LED de 3 dígitos mostrará el número de batería actual, y el indicador de menú correspondiente se iluminará. Los botones “Select” [+] / [ ] o el [dial] se pueden usar para-seleccionar cualquier batería (1- 30, bucle) como batería actual.

Fijar voz de pad Pulse [ pad assign ] para acceder al menú de asignación de pad pad assign. El valor por defecto será el valor de voz del crash pad según la batería seleccionada. Por ejemplo, si se ha seleccionado la batería 001, pulse “pad assign” y el valor del LED será 96, ya que este es el valor de voz del crash pad. Fijar ganancia de pad Pulse [gain] para acceder al menú de asignación de pad. Si el menú de asignación de pad está seleccionado, el indicador de menú correspondiente se iluminará. En este menú, el LED de 3 dígitos mostrará la ganancia del pad actual, que se puede seleccionar pulsando el botón “pad assign” en el panel superior o golpeando el -pad. El botón “Select” [+] /[ ] o el [ dial ] se pueden usar para seleccionar la ganancia (0-9, bucle) para el pad actu-al.

Guardar bateria Pulse [save] para acceder al menú de registro de batería. El botón “Se-lect” [+] / [ ] o el [dial] se pueden usar para seleccionar una batería de usuario (21-30, loop) para la configuración de batería actual. Reproducir canción Pulse [song] para acceder al menú de canciones. El valor por defecto es 001. El LED de 3 dígitos mostrará el número de la canción actual y el indicador de menú -correspondiente se iluminará. El botón “Select [+]/[ ] o el [dial] se pueden usar para seleccionar la canción actual (1-100, bucle). Los primeros 80 estilos tocan en bucle. Pulse [ start / stop ] para empezar o detener el reproductor. Si la canción se activa durante la re-producción, la nueva canción no empezará hasta que finalice el ritmo actual. Cada canción tiene su propio tempo y batería por defecto; el reproductor iniciará la batería y tempo ac-tuales al principio de la canción.

Volumen principal En el menú del volumen principal, el dígito situado más a la izquierda del LED mostrará la letra ‘L’. Los dos dígitos de la derecha mostrarán el volumen principal actual. El botón - de selección “Master Volume” [+] / [ ] se puede usar para ajustar el volumen (0-9, sin bucle). Este val-or se guardará automáticamente tras ser ajustado.

Volumen de acompañamiento En el menú del volumen de acompañamiento, el dígito situado más a la izquierda del LED mostrará la letra ‘A’. Los dos dígitos de la derecha mostrarán el volumen de acompañamiento actual. El botón de selección [+] / [ ] o el [dial] se pue-den usar para ajustar el volumen (0-9, sin bucle). Este valor se guardará automáticamente tras ser ajustado.

Bateria apagada Pulsar [ drum off ] activará o desactivará la función de batería apagada durante la reproducción de una canción. Si esta opción está activada, la voz de la batería se apagará y el indicador “drum off” estará encendido. Esta función es bastante útil para practicar. 9

Tempo Pulse tempo para acceder al menú de tempo. Los bot nes [+] y [-] se pueden usar para cambiar el tempo actual (30-280, sin bucle), lo que afecta la velocidad de repi-queteo y de la reproducción de canciones. Pulse [+] y [-] y se volverá al valor del tempo por defecto (tempo de la canción actual).

Metrónomo El metrónomo se ejecutará cuando una canción esté tocando pero solo con el indicador parpadeando. Pulse [click] una vez para el recuento de voz humana. Pulse [click] dos veces para el sonido de repiqueteo, Vuelva a pulsar para apagar dicho sonido.

Percusión manual

Pulse [hand perc] para acceder al modo de percusión manual y el indicador se iluminará. El número de la canción es 5 y el número de la batería es 21.

Demo Pulse [demo] para empezar o detener la canción de demostración. Visualizará dE , en el LED de 3 dígi-tos. También puede pulsar [ start / stop ] para detener la canción de demostración.

Reverb Pulse [ reverb ] para acceder a la función de reverb. En este menú, el dígito situado más a la izquierda del LED mostrará la letra ‘R’. Los dos dígitos de la derecha mostrarán el nivel de reverb actual. El botón de selección [+] / [-] o el [dial] se pueden usar para ajustar el nivel de reverb (0-3, sin bucle). Este valor se guardará automáticamente después de ajustarlo.

Grabación Prepararse para grabar Seleccione la canción deseada, la batería, el tempo, el ajuste de batería desactivada y los ajustes de reverb. Empezar a grabar Pulse [rec] y la luz empezará a parpadear. Pulse [start/stop] o golpee el pad, la luz dejará de parpadear y empezará el proceso de grabación. Dejar de grabar Para detener la grabación, pulse [start / stop] o [ rec ]. El indicador de grabación se apagará. Si la memoria está llena, aparecerá “FL” en el visualizador y el proceso de grabación se detendrá automáticamente. Instalação Alimentação A sua bateria digital usará pilhas ou um adaptador de corrente. Siga estas instruções segundo a fonte de alimentação que vaia a usar.

Se se usa um adaptador CA 1

Conecte o adaptador ao jack DC IN situado no painel e ligue o adaptador CA na toma de corrente CA.

Feche o compartimento da bateria de forma segura.

NOTAS A corrente se tomará automaticamente do adaptador CA se há um adaptador CA opcional conectado enquanto as pilhas estejam instaladas no instrumento.

Use só o adaptor que se indica. A especificação técnica do adaptador é CC 12V, de tipo centro positivo.

PRECAUÇÃO É recomendável substituir as pilhas esgotadas o antes possível. Quando a voltagem da pila baixe, o visualizador se atenuará e/ ou o som se ouvirá distorcido. Quando isto suceda, cambie as pilhas por um jogo novo de seis pilhas do mesmo tipo.

SE se usam pilhas Abra a tampa do compartimento de pilhas na parte inferior da unidade

NO misture nunca pilhas novas e velhas, tipos de pilhas diferentes (alcalinas, de magnésio, etc.), pilhas de marcas diferentes ou da mesma marca, mas de tipos diferentes. O uso incorreto pode fazer que o instrumento se aqueça, causar um incêndio ou fugas das pilhas.

Inserte pilhas de tamanho “C”, R-14, SUM-2 o equivalentes. Ao insertar as pilhas, tenha cuidado de observar as marcas de polaridade da ilustração.

Assim mesmo, para prevenir danos causados por fugas das pilhas, extraia as pilhas do instrumento quando não vaia a ser usado durante um período de tempo prolongado. As pilhas que permaneçam num instrumento sem utilizar também perderão o seu corrente com o tempo.

Nota: recomendamos usar pilhas alcalinas.

Usar auriculares Pode-se conectar um jogo opcional de auriculares estéreo no jack PHONES/OUTPUT situado no painel posterior. Ao conectar um par de auriculares al jack, os altifalante internos da unidade se apagarão automaticamente, o que é perfeito para uma prática em privado ou ao tocar a altas horas da noite. Se quere usar um sistema de som externo, o jack de auriculares também se pode usar para conectar a bateria digital ao sistema estéreo ou mesa de misturas.

Manejo Escolher uma bateria O menu de baterias é menu por defeito após ligar o instrumento; o valor por defeito é 001. Pulse [kit] para aceder ao menu de baterias. O LED de 3 dígitos mostrará o número de bateria atual, e o indicador de menu correspondente se iluminará. Os botões “Select” [+] / [ ] ou o [dial] se podem usar para selecionar qualquer bateria (1-30, loop) como bateria atual.

Fixar voz de pad Pulse [ pad assign ] para aceder ao menu de atribuição de pad pad assign. O valor por defeito será o valor de voz do crash pad segundo a bateria selecionada. Por exemplo, se se selecionou a bateria 001, pulse “pad assign” e o valor do LED será 96, já que este é o valor de voz do crash pad. Guardar bateria Pulse [save] para aceder ao menu de registro de bateria. Reproduzir canção Pulse [song] para aceder o menu de canções. O valor por defeito é 001. O LED de 3 dígitos mostrará o número da canção atual e o indicador de menu correspondente se iluminará. O botão “Select [+]/[ ] ou o [dial] se podem usar para selecionar a canção atual (1-100, loop). Os primeiros 80 estilos tocam em loop. Pulse [ start / stop ] para começar ou deter o reprodutor. Se a canção se ativa durante a reprodução, a nova canção não começará até que finalize o ritmo atual. Cada canção tem o seu próprio tempo e bateria por defeito; o reprodutor iniciará a bateria e tempo atuais ao principio da canção.

Volume principal No menu do volume principal, o dígito situado mais à esquerda do LED mostrará la letra ‘L’. Os dois dígitos da direita mostrarão o volume principal atual. Tempo Pulse tempo [+] e [-] para aceder ao menu de tempo. Os botões [+] y [-] se podem usar para alterar o tempo atual (30-280, sem loop), o que afeta la velocidade de chocalho e da reprodução de canções. Pulse [+] e [-] e se voltará ao valor do tempo por defeito (tempo da canção atual).

Pulse [start/stop] ou golpeie o pad, a luz deixará de piscar e começará o processo de gravação. Deixar de gravar Para deter a gravação, pulse [start / stop] ou [ rec ]. O indicador de gravação se apagará. Se a memoria está cheia, aparecerá “FL” no visualizador e o processo de gravação se deterá automaticamente.
