CLFI ACTIVITIES CLFI has been a partner of the Literacy Coordinating Council (LCC) for the National Literacy Awards which recognizes the best literacy practices and initiatives of local government units, civic society organizations and NGOs that elevate the quality or access to education of Filipinos. In December 1, CLFI joined the LCC in bestowing the Special Award of Excellence in Literacy (SAEL) during the National Literacy Awards to Socio-Economic Uplift, Anthropological, and Development Services (SULADS), an NGO based in Bukidnon, the City of Balanga, Bataan, and Municipality of Cuyo, Palawan. CLFI ACTIVITIES NATIONAL LITERACY AWARDS 2022 DECEMBER 1 Mr. Jonathan D. Batangan, Executive Director of CLFI, also delivered a message of support during the awards program on the advocacy and continuing partnership of the Literacy Coordinating Council and the Foundation. CLFI has always been a staunch advocate of inclusive and accessible education for all. It strives to uplift the quality of life of our kababayans through sustainable, more significant programs that leave a lasting impact on its beneficiaries.


CLFI ACTIVITIES Some snippets of the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. joining the Literacy Coordinating Council in conferring the Special Award of Excellence in Literacy (SAEL) during the National Literacy Awards 2022.


CLFI ACTIVITIES DEPED PARTNERS' APPRECIATION PROGRAM DECEMBER 13 The Department of Education (DepEd) conferred a Plaque of Appreciation to the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc (CLFI) during its "Education Stakeholders Convergence and Partners Appreciation Day " held in Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong last December 13, 2022. The award was given in recognition of CLFI' s contributions in promoting inclusive education through the ALS Program as well as the support in the National Literacy Awards.


CLFI ACTIVITIES Present during the said awarding rites were DepEd Secretary and Vice President Sara Z. Duterte, Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs and Partnerships Atty. Gerard L. Chan and External Partnerships Service Director Edel B. Carag. Also present were representatives from other DepEd key partners that included GMA Kapuso Foundation, SM/BDO Foundation, BPI Foundation, Aboitiz Foundation, among others. CLFI ACTIVITIES CONTINUING PARTNERSHIP: CLFI receives a Plaque of Appreciation from DepEd for endlessly supporting the programs of the Department and improving the welfare of its students and teachers. CLFI is one of the long-time partners of DepEd in ALS which already provided teaching equipment and learning materials to learners as well as teachers ' training and support to 115 ALS Community Learning Centers (CLCs) nationwide. The said program has enabled setting up of CLCs from as far north as Batanes and down south in Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu, benefitting more than 55,000 learners to date. Part of the support to ALS is the Annual Brigada Eskwela which mobilizes parents, alumni, civic groups and non-government organizations, teachers, students and individuals to volunteer their time and skills to prepare the classroom facilities for the opening of classes.


CLFI ACTIVITIES In the spirit of giving to our ates and kuyas who are ever reliant and always lends us a helping hand, CLFI, led by Mr. Dave Mariano, Communications, Partnerships, and Resource Mobilization Department Officer-inCharge, turned over ninety-seven (97) gift certificates to be distributed to everyone in Jammas, Polystar, and Excel Source last December 14. CLFI ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 15 PJLI ANNUAL GIFT GIVING: FLEET SERVICE DRIVERS During December 15, CLFI visited the Fleet Service drivers at their office in PJL Corporate Center annex to conduct the turnover of gift certificates to a total of thirty-two (32) HR drivers, ILD drivers, and support.


CLFI ACTIVITIES CLFI turned over forty-seven (47) gift certificates to Ms. Cherry Jane FLorendo, joined Mr. Osias M. Matanog Jr., the Officerin-Charge of Kingwizard Agency, as well as Mr. Gerald L. CLFI ACTIVITIES TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY, BUT ALSO TO BE GRATEFUL: CLFI got into the holiday spirit of giving back to all agencies who tirelessly supports everyone at PJLI - Jammas, Polystar, Excel Source, Fleet Service drivers, Metropolitan, Kingwizard, and Greenleaf.


CLFI ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 16, 19-23 MISA DE MEDIA DIA In celebration of the Advent season, CLFI organized a 6-day Misa de Media Dia from December 16 and 19 to 23 inviting all P.J. Lhuillier Inc. employees at the St. Nicolas Chapel. The first twenty (20) mass attendees for each day were given claim stubs for their snacks after each mass, and those who completed all 6 days were given a prayerbook and rosary as a token of appreciation.


CLFI ACTIVITIES DECEMBER 16, 19-23 MISA DE MEDIA DIA CLFI celebrated with Fr. Ryan from St. Andrew the Apostle Parish and the mass attendees during the last day of Misa de Media Dia, all are in high spirits and their festive moods as the days inch closer to Christmas. COUNTDOWN TO THE HOLIDAYS: CLFI, Fr. Ryan, and all the attendees pose to commemorate the sacred year-ender for 2022.


CLFI ACTIVITIES Celebrating the Yuletide Season, Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation, Inc. (CLFI) with select top scholars and its long-time partner Mr. Joselito Cinco conducted a gift-giving activity for the kids of Mt. Banahaw at Dolores, Quezon. CLFI scholars facilitated games and helped in preparing and distributing gifts and Christmas aguinaldo to more than 100 kids in the said far-flung community. MT. CLFI ACTIVITIES CLFI only invited its top scholars (President' s Lister, Dean ' s Lister and Special Awardees) to join this activity as a gift to them for the hardwork and dedication they have shown in their studies.


CLFI ACTIVITIES To further promote Financial Wellbeing and Mental Wellbeing, CLFI produced 2 video podcasts to empower teachers and students make sound decisions on their mental and financial health. MEET U ISKOLARS TAMBAYAN & TEACHERS' BREAK VIDEOCASTS DECEMBER 22 The videocasts will be officially released as part of the CLFI New Year Special in January.


CLFI ACTIVITIES PRODUCTION OF IPONARYO SHORTS DECEMBER 26 In line with intensively promoting Iponaryo, CLFI started producing Iponaryo shorts which will be released in CLFI platforms (Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, Facebook, etc.) in January. Iponaryo is one of the programs of CLFI in promoting financial wellness to ensure the safety and security of every Filipino through consistent and effective #IponGoals.
