Welcome to the 2023 Struthoff Ranch Production/Reduction Texas Longhorn Sale Josie and I would like to welcome everyone to our 2023 Struthoff Ranch Production/ Reduction Texas Longhorn Sale. You, the attendees, are an integral part in making this and every sale a success, and we hope you will enjoy our hospitality and fine Longhorn cattle. The sale will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, February 25, 2023, and will be held at the ranch in our open-air sale facility. Keep an eye on the weather forecast; in case of cold weather, dress accordingly. The Struthoff Ranch has been breeding futurity-winning animals for the last several years, and we would like to share some of our outstanding genetics with you. Browse through the sale catalog and see the fantastic heifers and cows available. All are exceptional, but a few will be offered with a moderate reserve due to their premium genetics and potential. We are offering not only mature brood cows, several of which are over 80” TTT, but also many promising young heifers from our great herd sire SR Clout 466, the 2019 TLBAA Junior Get of Sire Award winner. You are sure to come away with amazing pedigrees as our “Top Shelf ” animals will make great additions to anyone’s herd. Josie and I thank each of you for participating in this year’s sale and hope for everyone to experience a successful and completely enjoyable time. While in town for the sale, attendees should try to enjoy some of the rich history of San Antonio and the surrounding areas. Take a stroll on the River Walk and visit the famous Alamo in downtown San Antonio. Spend time in the German town of New Braunfels, the home of Naeglin’s Bakery, Texas’ oldest, and Schlitterbahn Water Park. Visit the Gristmill and Gruene Hall, “Texas’ Oldest Dance Hall,” in “Historic” Gruene. If a nature-lover, explore the hiking trails and campsites at Guadalupe River State Park off Highway 46 or enjoy spelunking at Natural Bridge Caverns and Wildlife Park. Whether you are into exploring historic sites or simply enjoying the many restaurants and shopping options available, you can find it in San Antonio. Terms of the sale are cash or check to the clerk at the conclusion of the sale. Checks are made payable to the Bruce McCarty Promotions.

Possession:

Immediately after the animal is sold, it will be the sole risk and responsibility of the buyer thereof, but possession cannot be obtained until payment is made.

Bidding:

Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. The consignor may set a reserve bid or bid on the animal themselves.

Bidding Disputes:

The auctioneer in charge will settle any disputes as to bids, and his decision on such matters shall be final.

Certification:

A certificate of registration will be furnished and transferred to the purchaser on each lot in the sale, exclusive of calves at side. Please provide name, address and the association of your choice when checking out.

Health:

All animals are eligible for interstate shipment except as otherwise noted. The cattle have been tested for tuberculosis, Bangs disease within 30 days of the sale date. A health certificate will be furnished.

Guarantee:

All Breeders Guarantees are strictly between the individual consignor and the purchaser at the sale. All calves are given to the purchaser free and with no guarantees. The purchaser must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.
