Ecosystem An ecosystem is a geographic area where plants, animals as well as weather and landscape, work together to form a bubble of life. It consists of biotic ( living) and abiotic ( non living) factors. Biotic factors include plants, animals and other organisms whereas abiotic include soil, temperature, humidity etc.

TERRESTRIAL ECOSYSTEM

Terrestrial ecosystem Land – based community of organisms and their interaction of biotic and abiotic components in a given area. It includes tundra, taigas, forest, grassland and desert. It occupies 28.26℅earth surface.

AQUATIC ECOSYSTEM

Aquatic Ecosystem It is defined as water based habitat of an ecosystem, in which all living species interact with their Environment physical & chemical properties. It consists of freshwater and marine ecosystems. Freshwater consists of lake, river, ponds etc. Whereas marine consists of oceans, reefs etc. They help in hydrological cycle and act as pollution filters.
