Intro duc tion

Dopamine is a type of neurotransmitter and hormone. It plays a role in many important body functions, including movement, memory and pleasurable reward and motivation. It communicates with brain cells and encourages them to act in a pleasurable, excitable, euphoric way. This publication is based for my self-initiated project on finding the psychological connection between our state of mind and our way of dressing. Dopamine dressing refers to a person’s motivation to dress in a way that will result in a positive outcome, like feeling more confident, competent, or happy. What we wear has a power to affect on how we feel therefore, the intention is to document the embodiment of this new mood of dressing for happiness around the world who are leaning into clothes for their daily dose of dopamine.

e n i m a p We are motivated to seek rewards via dopamine. Dopamine dressing, then, is the drive a person has to dress in a way that will lead to a favourable consequence, such as feeling more certain, competent, or pleased. For instance, if you had a favourite set of toys as a child that were all yellow and orange, you may have formed a favourable association with these colours that you have since reinforced. The actual mood-enhancing effects of dopamine dressing are more dependent on context than they are on the colors themselves.

Finding Joy In The Craft of Dressing Researchers have discovered that the things we wear can have an immediate effect on our psychology, mood, and performance. Color, style, and texture have a psychological connection to memories. It is also the cause of the revival of numerous outdated fashions. There is a fresh enthusiasm for vibrant and stimulating goods, from Y2k reboots in vivid colours to fanciful beaded jewellery and purses. So, wearing what makes you feel good is key, whether you’re striving for a colourful, provocative, or just comfortable look.

Is it only about bright colors ? There is a relationship between what we wear and how we feel. Dopamine dressing is all about dressing in a way that makes us happy and improves our mood. So you could go for an edgy retro look by dressing entirely in black or by pairing a zebra print blouse with hot pink leggings.

Dopamine levels that are high are linked to happiness. Temporary feelings of euphoria might result from an excess of dopamine. Unbeknownst to us, colour has a greater impact on our lives than we believe.

Study of Past Dopamine Styli ng

Dopamine style is a type of revenge dressing in which people wear items that make them happy in an effort to combat the epidemic and its depressing effects. After the storm, there is a sartorial rainbow.

Some individuals define that as a specific fit or silhouette, while others define it as a specific colour, print, or texture. We can all feel our most confident when we do.

It allows people to fully embrace their unique style. 14

About T he S

t o o h While colour is significant in dopamine dressing, texture also has a significant impact, particularly as diverse textures gain popularity in the fashion industry. Tulle, knit, and crochet are becoming more and more popular materials. The look books show how experimenting with texture and colour, particularly in a way you haven’t done before, can increase your dopamine levels. The goal is to inspire us to feel confident in our personal style. It enables us to enjoy wearing the clothing we actually enjoy.
