FIRST BUSEY CORPORATION PROFIT SHARING/401(k) PLAN OVERVIEW. Since beginning in 1971, First Busey Corporation (FBC) has annually contributed amounts to the Profit Sharing Plan to reward associates for a job well done and to help them save for retirement. In addition, the 401(k) section of the Profit Sharing Plan gives eligible associates the ability to defer a portion of their annual wages into the plan on a pre-tax and/or after-tax basis. Participants can choose how their money is invested from a variety of options.

401(K) / ROTH 401(K) Eligibility 21 years of age. Associate Contribution An associate may contribute either a flat dollar amount or a percentage (1% - 90%) of his/her eligible compensation, subject to IRS limitations, as an elective payroll deferral. 401(k) deferrals are taken before federal and state (if applicable) taxes are applied. Roth 401(k) deferrals are taken after federal and state (if applicable) taxes are applied. Changes to the contribution election may be made at any time through UKG  Myself  Life Events.

Corporate Contribution FBC will make Safe Harbor matching contributions each payroll equal to 100% of the first 3% eligible compensation you contribute to the Plan and 50% of the next 2% of eligible compensation you contribute to the Plan. Vesting Schedule Associate and corporate Safe Harbor contributions are immediately 100% vested.

PROFIT SHARING Eligibility Associates enter the Plan on January 1, April 1, July 1 or October 1 following attainment of age 21 and completion of one year of service during which you worked 1,000 hours. Corporate Contribution FBC may make a Profit Sharing contribution. Eligible associates receive the contribution if, at year-end, they have completed at least 1,000 hours of service during the year and are employed on the last day of the Plan year.

Vesting Schedule Vesting refers to the “ownership.” Completion of 1,000 hours of service per calendar year equals one year of vesting. Profit Sharing contributions are vested as follows: ■ 1 year of employment but less than 2 = 20% ■ 2 years but less than 3 = 40% ■ 3 years but less than 4 = 60% ■ 4 years but less than 5 = 80% ■ 5 years or more = 100%

PROFIT SHARING / 401(K) / ROTH 401(K) Investment Elections Participants have the responsibility of managing their own account utilizing various investment options. Profit Sharing, 401(k), Roth 401(k), Safe Harbor Match and Rollover (if applicable) balances are invested as one pool of money. Elections and changes to elections can be made at any time on the EPIC website at www.go-retire.com/Busey. For website assistance, you may call the EPIC Participant Service Center M–F, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (CST) at 800.716.3742 or email EPIC at [email protected].

Loans Loans are available from the Plan with no restrictions on purpose. Participants may borrow a minimum of $1,000 up to the lesser of one-half of the participant’s vested account balance or $50,000. The loan may be distributed from all Plan sources. The interest rate will be set at the prevailing U.S. (Fed) Prime Rate. Loan payments are made through after-tax payroll deductions back into the participant’s account. There is a $100 fee.

Plan Reporting Statements are generated following each quarter-end which illustrate the activity for the prior quarter. Participants who have not elected to receive these electronically will receive a paper statement. Complete account information is available anytime at www.go-retire.com/Busey.

BUSEY STOCK FUND INFORMATION The Busey Stock Fund is unitized which means your balance in the fund is expressed in “units” instead of shares because, technically, your account balance is made up of shares and a small percentage (1-3%) of cash. Unitization is an accounting method. A unit does not have the same price as a share of stock. When a unitized fund is established, the plan sponsor determines a unit price to represent a portion of stock and cash (usually $10). From then on, unit prices will fluctuate daily in nearly the same percentage as the underlying stock. It does not fluctuate exactly as the stock due to the small portion of cash in the fund. You can access complete information regarding these investment options through your online account at EPIC (www.go-retire.com/busey) or on the .

TIME OFF. VACATION

FAQ

Associates will accrue vacation time throughout the year based on their benefit level and years of service. Vacation hours will accrue each payroll based on the number of hours worked, paid holiday hours, and paid vacation/sick/award hours.

What increments can vacation, sick and award time be taken in?

Full-time associates may use vacation hours prior to being accrued not to exceed the annual amount indicated on the Benefit Levels | Time Off schedule.

Non-exempt (hourly) associates may use vacation, sick and award time in any increment. Exempt (salaried) associates may use vacation, sick and award time in 4 hour increments. Where can vacation, sick and award time balances be seen?

Associates can find their Benefit Level on UKG  Myself  Jobs  Jobs Summary.

UKG under Myself  Benefits  PTO Plans shows hours accrued, available for use and processed (taken).

As part of Busey’s required regulatory compliance, all full time associates must be absent from the Company for 5 consecutive business days each calendar year; for those full time associates hired during the current year, this is required annually starting the following calendar year. Paid holidays or sick time may not be included in the five consecutive time off requirement.

Will I lose any of my time if I don’t use it before the end of each year?

SICK

Part-time associates may carry over up to 20 hours and full-time associates may carry over up to 40 hours of accrued unused vacation time. Sick time will accrue up to a maximum of 40 hours for part-time associates and up to a maximum of 520 hours for full-time associates. Any unused award time will be forfeited. If I leave Busey, will I get paid for my time?

Busey provides paid sick time for both full-time and parttimes associates based on the number of hours worked each payroll. Sick time may not be used prior to accrual.

All accrued and unused vacation time will be paid to the associate when employment ends; sick and award time is not paid.

Benefit Level 3 and 4 associates will be granted 10 days (80 hours) upon hire. Benefit Levels 5-8 and 10 associates will be granted 20 days (160 hours) upon hire.

Can I use sick time for appointments or for family members?

AWARD Award time will be provided to associates in January following the year in which hired to commemorate an associate’s birthday and Busey employment anniversary. Award time can be used for any reason, including a wellness day, a personally important holiday not observed by Busey or as additional vacation and requires advance approval by associate’s supervisor. Full-time associates will receive 16 hours each year. Part-time associates will receive 8 hours each year.

Sick time can be used for doctor, dental or eye appointments. Sick time can be used to care for family members under your care (such as children or elderly parents).

All full-time associates are granted up to two hours of paid volunteer time each month for service during their scheduled weekday shift. Paid volunteer time cannot be used for overtime. To take advantage of this optional benefit, associates must obtain supervisor approval to participate in a volunteer event during normal business hours. IMPACT ON COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT (CRA) RATING CRA requires Busey to be regularly evaluated on how well we support and serve low-to-moderate income geographies. To ensure we’re meeting this standard, we actively seek out CRA qualified volunteer events to support. To qualify for CRA credit, associates must volunteer to serve in a financial capacity for an event that helps develop the community. Examples: Not Qualified – An associate volunteers for a Habitat for Humanity build. While the organization is CRA qualified, the associate is providing construction services, not acting in a financial capacity. Qualified – An associate volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Not only is the organization CRA qualified, the associate is acting in a financial capacity by raising funds to support the organization. For more information on the CRA and what constitutes CRA qualified events, please visit the The Vault  Corporate Admin  Risk Management  Regulatory Compliance Program  CRA.

TRACKING Full-time associates having completed 90 days employment and wishing to use Paid Volunteer Time will track their qualified volunteer hours through Time & Attendance. Volunteer time will be coded as Volunteer Hours, and associates will include the name of the organization served in the comments section.
