A note about our 2023 improvements – As you may know, we have been publishing Coastal Insider for several years. During this time we have been studying the market– seeing what works, and more importantly, what doesn't. Beginning in 2023, we've decided to make a change that we think will better suit our advertisers. The Coastal Insider will now be a bi-monthly publication. But what does this mean for you, the advertiser? Your complimentary article will have greater longevity, meaning increased exposure for you and your business. We are also seeing a boom in our digital presence across social media, as well as our email marketing campaigns. It's no secret the digital world is becoming even more popular, and this is witnessed in our impeccable number of open rates with our online edition. Now more than ever, we are encouraging our advertisers to utilize the power of QR codes in all of their print ads, so clients can instantly connect with you on your website. We are excited about the direction we are heading, and looking forward to all the future holds. Not only for us, but also for our valued advertisers.

Print Advertising in the Digital World Opening Doors to Your Business
Print Advertising Offers: – Consistent company branding, meaning your company remains top of mind with consumers – A small space to make a big impact Too much information on a single ad is hard to digest, so allow this to be the place where you tell your customers the main points to spark their interest Print ads are a powerful way to reach, engage, and build trust with your target audience. Print ads often lead readers online to get more information and to make a purchase. We highly recommend utilizing QR codes in your ads to make it even easier for people to get to your website – A cost-effective method to get your name out to a more attentive audience as compared to digital marketing People reading our magazine are intrigued by the content within, as opposed to people online who are often distracted or who are
mindlessly scrolling. We estimate 100,000 people are seeing and engaging with our publication each month. That is an exorbitant
amount of great exposure for your company, at a low cost to you! Studies also show that print ads encourage better retention and recall when compared to digital ads.
MAKE IT EASY FOR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TO LEARN MORE
USE QR CODES TO LEAD PEOPLE TO YOUR WEBSITE
Think of your print advertisement as the front door to your business. It's a fantastic start! Ultimately, this will assist sales and showcase your website. Our goal is simply to help people find you and get them to open that door. Coastal Insider Media Kit

Harnessing the Power of QR Codes Transitioning Your Print Ads to the Digital World
Now that you understand that your print ad is just the "front door" to your business, how do you get people to learn more? We recommend QR codes because of their versatility; you can lead customers anywhere that has a URL! Here are a few popular options:
Landing Page
Page with multiple links leading to more info about your business
6
Website
Lead customers directly to your website, contact form, or other special page.
Menu / Discounts / Specials
Direct customers to certain discounts or specials you are promoting.

Harnessing the Power of QR Codes Transitioning Your Print Ads to the Digital World
Quick and Error Free – Minimize chance of customer typing in URL incorrectly – View content quickly and easily. Scanning a code is significantly faster than trying to type a URL
More Informative – Print marketing does have limitations, unless you direct people online with QR Codes, where they have access to unlimited information.
Engaging with Rich Content – Words are good, but a picture is worth a thousand words. – Marketers can share rich content via print promotion, and thus will see better engagement from their audience.
Actionable Content – Run a contest, get people to register for a product or event, take feedback, or allow people to make purchases right from the ad with QR Codes Coastal Insider Media Kit

Professionally Written Article
Give Your Business a Voice and Allow People to Connect with You Our writer is a Harvard graduate and has been working with us for the past seven years. When you sign a 6+ month contract with us, you are entitled to an article written by her; a 6 month contract is entitled to a half page article (400 words) and a 12 month contract is entitled to a full page article (600 words). Not only is this article published in our magazine; it is shared on our social media, optimized for SEO purposes online, published on our website, and released to you to use as you please. The steps of this process are outlined below:
Initial Conversation
Our writer will call you and talk to you about your business. This usually lasts no more than an hour, and she will capture "what you are about."
Revisions
Our writer will send you a proof of your article to make sure you're happy with it. If needed, you can send back revisions to get it perfected. 16
Photography
Our photographer will meet you at your business (or another desired location) to capture you and your team, your services, etc. to pair with the article.

Why Professional Photography Show Off What Makes Your Business Special
The Benefits of Professional Photography: – Your media represents your brand
Ensure your business puts the best image out there. Low-quality, unprofessional images will communicate the same about your brand.
– Customers want to get to know you. Stock photos are one alternative some businesses use in order to have professional photos, but ultimately that is not the best way to showcase your business. Why? Because it isn't you / your business, and can be misleading. – Professional Photos are versatile assets
Photos can be used to make your business more engaging. They can be
used to help build your brand on social media, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google My Business, and more. They can also be used for print marketing or even blog posts. The possibilities are endless.

[email protected] and copy your sales representative. Ad deadlines are as following, unless otherwise specified by your ad sales rep: January / February Edition – December 4
July / August Edition – June 4
March / April Edition – February 4

What is the difference between ‘exposure’ and ‘impressions’ when talking about readership? They are essentially the same thing — exposure and impressions are used when calculating readership through two different mediums. ‘Exposure’ is used for how many times your ad is seen in print, while ‘impression’ is used for how many times it is seen in the digital realm. The two are added together to make up our total readership. 18
