Memberikan motivasi belajar peserta didik secara kontekstual sesuai manfaat dan aplikasi materi ajar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan memberikan contohnya. (Diantara kamu semua ada yang memiliki hewan peliharaan ataupun hewan kesayangan. Terkadang kita ingin member tahu seperti apa hewan peliharaan yang kita sayangi. Untuk menjelaskannya, kamu perlu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana ciri-ciri dari hewan kesayanganmu.)



Mengajukan pertanyaan tentang kaitan antara materi sebelumnya dengan materi yang akan dipelajari. (Pada pertemuan sebelumnya, kita membahas tentang teks transaksional yaitu member dan meminta informasi terkait dengan tingkah laku/tindakansesuai dengan konteks. Lalu, materi kita selanjutnya yaitu teks deskripsi hewan. Kali ini kamu memberikan informasi terkait deskripsi hewan. Misalnya, My Lovely Cat.)



Menjelaskan tujuan pembelajaran yang akan dicapai. (Dalam pembelajaran tentang descriptive teks, diharapkan agar kamu semua dapat mengidentifikasi dan menyusun teks descriptive sesuai dengan unsure kebahasaannya.)



Menyampaikan cakupan materi dan uraian kegiatan sesuai dengan silabus. (pada pembelajaran descriptive text mengenai hewan. Kamu akan memberikan dan menyusun teks descriptive hewan.)

Peserta didik mengamati gambar dan membaca teks pendek tentang deskripsi hewan yang telah diberikan (Pay attention to the picture/ the text! What do you think about the picture? What are the facial features thet you can see from the animal?) (terlampir pada bagian media).



Dengan bimbingan guru, peserta didik menjelaskan informasi, terkait fungsi social, struktur teks, dan unsure kebahasaan yang didapat dari materi yang telah diberikan.

Guru memberi perintah kepada peserta didik untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai unsur-unsur teks deskriptif (binatang). (Please answer the question task 1 and 2) (pertanyaan : Task 1 and Task 2)

JCOT • Peserta didik melakukan kegiatan berkelompok dan membahas mengenai teks deskriptif (binatang). (This time we will discuss in groups. You are all divided into severl groups.) •

Menyusun teks deskriptif (binatang) secara berkelompok. (Here you have to make a paragraph to describe about animal. You can discuss with your group about animal.) (Task 3)



Siswa mempresentasikan hasil dari diskusi kelompok. (Pada kegiatan ini, siswa membacakan hasil kerja kelompok mereka, lalu kelompok lain akan menganalisis dan membandingkan berbagai teks dari kelompok lain terkait dengan unsure kebahasaan dan konsep dari teks descriptive.)

Peserta didik mengerjakan tugas yang diberikan guru mengenai unsure kebahasaan teks deskriptif. (guru akan memberikan latihan mengisi teks rumpang) (Melengkapi teks rumpang : Task 4)



Guru dan siswa membahas kesimpulan dan apa manfaat yang telah didapatkan selama proses pembelajaran. (What the summary of our discussion? Memberikan tugas lanjutan (PR) kepada peserta didik. (Berdasarkan apa yang telah kita pelajari hari ini, maka kalian akan ditugaskan untuk membuat teks descriptive tentang hewan, boleh hewan peliharaan, hewan kesayangan, ataupun hewan lainnya).



Memberi informasi terkai materi yang akan dipelajarai pada pertemuan selanjutnya. (Untuk pertemuan selanjutnya, kita masih mempelajari materi tentang Descriptive Text. Kita akan melanjutkan berdiskusi mengenai unsure kebahasaan serta struktur text dari tugas yang telah kalian buat di rumah.)

Descriptive text is meaningful text that describe the experience related to the senses, such as what shape, sound, taste is. B. Social Function 1. To describe person, thing, animal, or place in specific. 2. To describe a particular person, thing, animal, or place. C. Generic Structure Identification

Contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal, or object will be describe.

Description

Contains a description of something such as animal, things, place, or person by describing its features, form, colors, or anythingrelated to what the writer describe.

D. Language Feature

1. Noun : menggunakan kata benda yang spesifik, seperti misalnya my cat, Boroboudur Temple. 2. Adjective : memperjelas penggunaan noun / kata benda, seperti “a big house, a smart student, an independence woman” 3. Simple present tense : menggunakan kata kerja dasar atau bentuk pertama (Verb 1) serta menunjukkan kepemilikan atau keadaan sebuah objek. 4. Action Verb : menggunakan kata kerja yang menunjukkan sebuah kegiatan atau sebuah aktifitas yang bisa dilihat. Misalnya, sleep, walk, read, swim, dll. 5. Figuratif Language : menggunakan bahasa yang figurative atau menggambarkan sesuatu.

There are two types of buffalo: the African or Cape buffalo and the Asian water buffalo (this one is common in Indonesia). The water buffalo is the largest bovine.
