MOMENTS OF JOY FOR DELHI PUBLIC SCHOOL GWALIOR

It gives us unbound pleasure to proclaim that Shaurya Gandhi of Grade IX is selected for the Inspire Award and is awarded with prize money worth ₹ 10,000. He is also shortlisted to participate in District Level Competition to be held next.

Shaurya Gandhi CLASS - IX

Glad to share with you that Dipsite of Class IX, PO Sanskriti Chauhan of 3 MP Naval Unit Junior Division, has been selected to represent Gwalior under the guidance of Commanding Officer Captain Sandeep Deewan in Republic Day Parade at Rajpath New Delhi on 26 January 2023.

Delhi Public School Gwalior feel overwhelmed to share that the DIPSITES participated in the INTER SCHOOL KALYANPUR EVENT wherein they brought laurels to school by winning in a lot of events. Our school bagged OVERALL SECOND POSITION in the series of events.

Annual Events ‘EXPO 2023' (Classes – III to V)- "When we are united, we can achieve greater heights." The mega event 'EXPO 2023' was held on January 28, 2023 for the students of classes III to V, which marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating the festive mood. There was a colourful welcome followed by lighting of the lamp accompanied by a melodious Saraswati Vandana. It was truly mesmerizing event. The musical fiesta by the school choir group was the first programme to set the mood of the audience. After the musical gala, the scintillating performance in conjunction of various Artistic Yogasanas by students was greeted with thunderous applause by the audience. The highlight of the show was a group dance performance, then a colourful cultural bonanza unfurled one after the other and our talented students exhibited their talents and rocked the stage. The audience watched spell bound till the last second of the event. Students themselves were the masters of ceremony. Every dance and act carried a skill unleashing the best in them. We believe that giving responsibilities to children increase their self confidence and leadership skills and thus the event was planned with an aim to enhance the hidden potentials and talents in every student. The school ensures that there is a hundred percent participation from the students as each child is special and important to us. We believe that every child must be given an opportunity to develop talents that harness their skills and attributes through such performances.

Sports Day (Classes- Nursery to ll) - 'Together everyone achieves more.' The Annual Sports Day Udaan 2023- A flight to success was organized by Delhi Public School Gwalior on February 11, 2023. The event was attended by students, teachers and parents alike. The day began with the lighting of the Mashal, followed by a formal opening ceremony, where Incharge Educator Ms. Anupama Chadda addressed the audience and declared the event open followed by a solemn pledge taking ceremony. As the sun rose in the sky, colourful balloons were released into the air by the Incharges and parents marking the official opening of the event. The choir and dance teams of the school performed to enthusiastic applause, showcasing their talent and passion for the arts. The drill team then took to the field, performing a series of intricate routines that left the audience spellbound. The sports events began soon after, with students participating in a range of races, relays and other athletic contests. The cheering and

The cheering and encouragement from the spectators added to the excitement and intensity of the events. One of the unique features of the day was the inclusion of races for parents, where mothers and fathers could take part in fun events. This helped to build stronger bonds between parents and their children. At the end of the sports event parents were invited to come forward and award medals and certificates to their children, adding a personal touch to the celebrations. The sports day was a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved. It showcased the school's commitment to physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship. It also provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and passion for sports. It was a day that will be remembered for a long time to come.

Special Assemblies Republic Day and Basant Panchmi - "A nation's culture resides in the hearts and souls of its people." Delhi Public School Gwalior celebrated Republic Day and Basant Panchmi with the students of Classes Nursery to Xll. The day was marked with the unfurling of the flag followed by Saraswati pujan, patriotic songs, dances and speech. Students participated in cultural programmes and celebrated the diversity and unity of the country. The celebration allowed students to learn about the history and culture of India.

Special Events Lohri Celebration (Classes- Nursery to ll) - 'Festivals create memories to cherish forever.' Delhi Public School Gwalior celebrated Lohri with the students of Classes Nursery to ll on January 13, 2023. Celebrating Lohri in School was an educational experience for children as it helped them to understand and appreciate the cultural heritage of India. Students also learned about the customs and rituals associated with the festival, such as lighting the bonfire, singing and dancing around the fire, and the significance of the Rabi harvest. It was a fun and meaningful way for children to learn about the culture and traditions of India.

Farewell (Class-XII) 2023 - "Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of biding farewell." Once again emotions ran high at Delhi Public School, Gwalior as the School witnessed yet another landmark celebration that is now added to its glorious history. Farewell of Class XII Students. With valedictory speeches, songs, dances, and a motley of colorful presentations by Class XI Students, Farewell 2022-23 evoked a strong sense of solidarity among the Dipsities. The whole DPS fraternity wishes them happiness and success in all future endeavors and motivates them to leave an indelible mark on society and make the school proud.

Parent Partnership Programme “Connecting home and school makes us a great community of learners” - With a goal to ensure a positive atmosphere for learning and building up the healthy bond among new parents and educators, Delhi Public School Gwalior organized a "Parent Partnership Programme" on 24 March 2023 wherein the parents of newly admitted students were briefed about the curriculum, educational policies, teaching methodologies, pedagogies, rules and regulations of the school. Members of Team DPS Gwalior enlightened the gathering by their eloquent address and emphasized on the strong connect between the school and the parents.

Activity Weeks Social Science Activity Week (Classes – VI to VIII) - Social science activity is an event that brings all the students together with the objective to learn, explore new things, creativity and implementation. Also gives a platform to express their views. The most informative and amazing week started from January 23 to 27, 2023 for classes VI-VIII with skillful activities like Poster Making, Quizzard, Bunting Making of the Rulers and Group Discussion were conducted.

English Activity Week (Classes- Nursery to UKG) - 'English is the language of opportunities.' Delhi Public School Gwalior organized English Activity Week for the students of classes Nursery to UKG from January 23 to January 27, 2023. The activities conducted throughout the week like Hopscotch, My ABC Scoop, Literary Wiz, Word Wheel, Fun with Words, Express to Impress, provided students with opportunities to improve their English skills and learn about different aspects of the language and culture.

Computer and GK Activity Week (Classes- l and ll) - 'Education is the key to unlocking the world.' Delhi Public School Gwalior conducted Computer and GK Activity Week for the students of Classes I and ll from February 20 to February 24, 2023. The activities conducted during the week like Planet Walk, Ball Toss, Solar Flares, Rotation and Revolution and Quizzy Pop provided opportunities for hands on learning and initiated conversations. The activities helped the learners to gain a greater understanding of the world around them. Computer Activity Week (Classes – III to V) “We need to embrace technology to make learning more engaging because when students are engaged and they are interested, that's where learning takes place.” Delhi Public School Gwalior organized 'Computer Activity Week' for Classes III – V from February 6 to 10, 2023. The week was designed to make students more aware of computer science and the importance of building computing skills at early age.

Maths Activity Week (Classes – IX and X) 'Maths activity week' was organized for class IX-X by the department of Mathematics of Delhi Public School, Gwalior from December 26 - December 30, 2022. The activities like cluster of mathematical ideas, Logical Competency of the Brain etc., were conducted throughout the week.

Workshops and visits for Students Playing with Sounds (Classes- Nursery to ll) 'Phonics is the sound system of English language.' To facilitate the optimum development of the child's potential Delhi Public School Gwalior organized Playing with Sounds Workshop for the students of Classes Nursery to ll on December 30, 2022.The workshop served as an effective tool and a multi sensory method for the students to read and spell as they were taught to link an individual letter or letter combination with its appropriate sound and then blend the sounds to form words.

Incredible India (Classes- Nursery to UKG) 'India is riven by the same diversity that unites it.' Delhi Public School Gwalior organized a workshop on the topic Incredible India on January 19, 2023 for the students of Classes Nursery to UKG. The workshop focused on teaching students about the rich culture, history, and geography of India.

Cybercrime and Cybersecurity (Classes – IX and XI) - Cybercrime is one of the most discussed issues of the 21st century. With this notion, Delhi Public School, Gwalior hosted an interactive session for the students of classes IX and XI on January 13, 2023 wherein Mr. Rajesh Dandotiya who is currently posted as ASP at the city east crime branch, Gwalior was the expert speaker. The session was both interesting and informative and included several case studies which were shared with the students and they were further sensitized towards privacy and security of data.
