Guide Questions
01
What are the different components (Pillars of Tourism) you offered in your destination? Explain the importance of each of these components to the destination (two sentences each).
The different components we want to offer in the country of Hongkong are the following: 3 Transportation - the most common transportation that tourists use when exploring in Hongkong is the bus, since it travels the whole city so tourists can explore the sites and attractions that they aspire to see. For a more specific, convenient, and a swift transportation towards to your destination, the train(Mass Transit Railway) and the ferry have the system to provide it Lodging - Hong Kong has suitable yet affordable rooms and hotels where tourists can enjoy and relax during their stay. Rambler Oasis Hotel offers different viable options and other activities such as pool, gym, and playground are present. Food and Beverage Service Industry - Tourists recommend to try Hong Kong's famous sweet and sour pork, wind sand chicken and many more that can be really delicious. Additionally, when it comes to beverages you need to try their famous milk tea, the Pantyhose Tea and the herbal tea like Spica Prunellae that are their special authentic drinks that you will like. Tourism Services - Hongkong service industry is accommodating and consistent. In Cafe de Coral, even if the hoteliers were busy, they still managed to maintain their service quality to the clients.
Pn
Attractions - Hong Kong’s attraction was and is still popular because of its sites, events, recreations, and entertainments that keeps the tourists engaged and tolerated that is why they keep coming and people around the globe are influenced to travel in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Disneyland is the most popular attraction because it provides most of the pillars in tourism which makes an unique experience to the tourists.

Guide Questions
02
Forms of Tourism: Give at least three (3) forms of tourism available in your destination. You need to make sure that you have proof of those forms. The pictures you will attach are the proof.
Adventure Tourism Ngong Ping 360 - is a cable car ride that involves risk but it provides a serene panorama. Ngong Ping Terminal is right next to Ngong Ping Village - the best starting point to reach other Hong Kong attractions such as the Big Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, and Tai O fishing village.
Religious and Historical Tourism
Pn
Ruins of St. Paul's - It was built in 1602 by Jesuit priests who traveled to the Far East to spread Catholicism. The site is a mix of East and West foreign influence. The ruin originally included St. Paul’s College and the Church of St. Paul. Today, most tourists who visit the ruins can only see the remains of a beautiful old church, but there’s more to its story. In fact, the ruins serve as a key reminder of Macau’s unique roots. Its original structure is made up of wood that was burned by a fire in 1835 and the remainings are only the beautiful granite façade and a grand staircase of 68 stone steps leading up to it.
Guide Questions Adventure , Food , and Historical Tourism The Peak - provides scenic beauty, appetizing foods, and transport. Victoria Peak - has a height of 1,811 feet. It is Hong Kong Island’s highest point that offers 360-degree views of the city’s impassable skyline. The area was captivating that until 1947, only European residents could live there, meaning Hong Kong Chinese citizens could not live in the area.
The Bright Red Peak Tram - opened in 1888, is one of the world’s oldest funiculars and Asia’s most well-known transport. The steep route to the top can be pleasant on a clear day, but it’s best to plan ahead. Peak Lookout Restaurant - first opened its service in 1947. Its most famous world menus are oysters and quesadillas.
Guide Questions
03
What is the most unique attribute of your destination (e.g., history, cultural, natural)? You need to brag about your destination.
The most unique attribute that Hong Kong has is its colonial influence and experience when it was invaded by foreign countries(Great Britain, China, and Japan) during the First Opium War and World War II. Powerful countries were striving to be the most powerful country in the globe. Hong Kong was known as a small country and it gives the first world countries a minimum effort to exert their military in invading Hongkong. Under the rule of the British, Hong Kong was transformed from a series of fishing villages into a booming center of international commerce. Japanese’s occupation of Hongkong was to establish a Greater East Co-Prosperity Sphere. The liberation of Hongkong to foreign countries paved a way for close relationships and its cultural integration making Hongkong’s culture richer. Hongkong has a mixture of traditions with Han Cantonese ethnic in China and Western Culture. It was very interesting to visit their temple in Hongkong and to also be familiar with their languages and customs. Additionally, it is good to know that the hongkong originated in a semi-independent region. Western and Asian influence especially in terms of business, culture, and trade was embedded in Hongkong. That is why some buildings like Hopewell Centre in Hongkong and Leadenhall in the UK are similar. On August 23, 1998, a request from the Walt Disney Company arrived at the office of Hong Kong's chief executive to build the idea of building a Disneyland in their country. This was a privilege for Hong Kong to improve their economy. Its economy was in the depths of a recession, unemployment was rampant and financial markets around the world were gripped with panic. Hong Kong Disneyland will attract millions of tourists a year, create thousands of jobs, improve the quality of life, and enhance Hong Kong's international image. The world-class theme park has the potential to provide Hong Kong with a net economic benefit ranging between $145 to $148 billion over 40 years.
Guide Questions Hongkong became strategic on how they will improve their economic and social factors so they build more attractions that do not possess beauty only but along with its significance so that tourists can learn, understand and connect to Hong Kong's Culture. The Tian Tan Buddha symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith. The Star Ferry is more complex than a simple mode of transportation or tourist attraction to the people in Hongkong. This became a legend because in the 1880s foreign culture and traditions were imposed but Star Ferry belongs to Hongkong. According to Next Stop Hongkong, Star Ferry is Hongkong. You cannot claim that you’ve been to Hong Kong until you have taken transportation on their iconic Ferry.
04
What is the motivation of the visitors in traveling to your destination? Explain deeply and with basis.
Physical - Us, tourists, youth/adults need to relax and to enjoy our life from time to time. While stress is a complexity and a necessity for us to not have a boring life, we can also lessen stress by travelling to Hongkong. The Avenue of stars displays a nice view during the night time where Psychocentrics and Midcentric travellers will enjoy. Ocean Park Hongkong is not just an aquarium but also a carnival where rides such as roller coasters and ferris wheel are present in which it is in favor for Allocentric travellers.

Cultural - Hong Kong’s Culture is diverse. If you are into learning a different language, one of their unique languages is Cantonese. If you are into tea, they have their famous milk tea, the Pantyhose Tea and the herbal tea like Spica Prunellae that are their special authentic drinks that you will like. Hong Kong has Macau. It consists of: A-Ma Temple, a temple to the Chinese sea-goddess. Ruins of St. Paul was originally the Church of Mater Dei built in 1602-1640, destroyed by fire in 1835, and the ruins of St. Paul's College, which stood adjacent to the Church. Fortaleza do Monte was constructed to protect the properties of the Jesuits in Macau, especially from pirates. Afterwards, the fort was taken over by the Portuguese colonial governor and the relevant authorities for the defense of Macau. The Tian Tan Buddha symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith and more! Tourists often want to immerse themselves in the culture of the place where they are going. In Hong Kong, having the capability to just taste their beverages and to visit the cultural ruins and temples will make us curious because it is not just the unique taste of teas and design of the temples, but also the story and significance of it. Therefore, we are having the urge and motivation to connect to Hong Kong’s culture
