The Thai wedding includes a Buddhist ceremony combined with age-old traditions and beliefs that leads to an exotic, spiritual, romantic, and lively affair. A typical Thai wedding involves the participation of a whole community coming together to mark this very special occasion. Monks are invited to bless the couple and their life ahead of them, accompanied by the restaurant's associates fully adorned in traditional costumes. Part of the Thai wedding ceremony is the boisterous "Hae Khaan Maak" that features a parade of dancers and long drums from the groom's side bearing gifts or "dowry" to the bride's house to ask for her hand in marriage. This is a particularly colorful and merry affair where the group sing and yodel (Thai style of course) and is still common practice in traditional Thai communities. In addition to monks blessing the couple, elders such as parents, aunts, and uncles also bless the happy couple with water poured from a conch shell or "Hoi Sang" and placing fresh flower garlands on the couple's palms that are placed together and extended atop a large plush pillow. This is called the "Pook Kor Mue" and "Rod Nam Sang" ceremony

The Tolani Resort Kui Buri is open o any specific venue on our grounds, the choice is up to you. Marry on the beach, the Main pool side, on our Lawn or in the Restaurant, you decide. Following the wedding ceremony, enjoy refreshing cocktails with just your partner or dinner is again for you to decide.
