This portfolio contains all of my practical tasks for the winter semestr of the 'Fashion in Art & Art in Fashion' subject taught by Tetyana Nikolayeva.

practical task one BODY HAIR

For the 'Body hair' task I decided to make a digital illustration in my usual drawing style. The drawing contains a message about breaking gender stereotypes and the expectation that women should shave. It's rooted in patriarchy and it's oppressive towards all women. We all grow body hair and it should be normal for women to not shave, as it should be for men to shave.

My work wear design is for 'České dráhy' train conductors. It's made with protective, waterproof materials like fleece and the shoes use the gore-tex technology. These designs are more practical and androgynous than the old ones. They're made in the ČD colours and have reflective elements for the night train lines.

Sustainability and environmentalism People want long lasting contemporary and cheap clothing, that's made ethically Thrift shopping and second-hand fashion The stigma around second-hand shopping is gone, if anything thrift shopping is on trend Creativity and individualism People have a natural craving to create. We like our styles and clothes to be unique. When we start making our own clothes, we're all going to have that; people can still share sewing patterns however

For the fur task I designed a glamorous high fashion look inspired by 1920s.

i chose to design two fashionable looks inspired by butterflies. They feature a cocoon as well and are inspired by the rococo era and Iris Van Herpen.
