INTRODUCTION Focus: Get to know God more - be equipped for good works 2023 First Fruit Fast Annually, Women of Faith Ministry prayer partners engage in a corporate fast during the first thirty (30) days of the new calendar year. The caption for this fast is First Fruit Fast. Like fasts noted in the Bible, this fast has purpose. The purpose relates to and inclusive of the prayer partners desire for divine intervention from God of Heaven as they seek spiritual growth, discipline, obedience and or new dimensions of God’s holy anointing for kingdom work in the earth. The Scripture affirms “some things come by fasting coupled with prayer.” From a biblical perspective “fasting” is an act of self-denial for a specified purpose. Fasting is also a supportive strategy in practicing self-disciplining. To aid WOFM prayer partners in processes of spiritual fitness, which is required in carrying-out the Ministry’s purpose, fasting and praying are necessary. The corporate First Fruit Fast purpose aligns with the Ministry purpose - Raise-up an army of praying women who travel the world on their knees praying prayers that touch and transform people, places and circumstances. WOFM 2023 focus is “Get to Know God More - Be Equipped for Good Work.” In support of this focus, thirty (30) prayer targets are identified to aid individuals in the process of getting to know God more in 2023 to do good work for the kingdom of God in the earth. These prayer targets are to be embraced, prayed and practiced throughout the First Fruit Fast. As listed there is a prayer target for each day. According to the social and psychology scientists, things done for thirty days is habit forming. If there is truth to this learning theory, make use of it for getting to know God more for good works to enhance the kingdom of God in the earth.

Please note, some of WOFM prayer partners identified personal prayer targets to pray along with the identified 2023 First Fruit Fast (FFF) prayer targets. These personal prayer targets are viewed as personal desires for divine intervention to strengthen the individuals for the personal journey to “get to know God more in 2023.” Embrace them with joy, run after them with confidence, endurance and the belief that God will grant your heart desire if you don’t quit. All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching faith, correcting errors, resetting the direction of a man’s life and training him for good works. The scriptures are the comprehensive equipment of servants of God and that fit them for all branches of kingdom work. Each of the thirty days has an assigned prayer target with a supporting bible verse. Read the prayer target, followed by the reading of the supporting Bible verse. After reading both take time to reflect on what the Bible verse says and how the prayer target and Bible verse relate to each other. Write down what comes to your mind. Other Bible scriptures may come to mind; read them, write down along with the name of the Bible book, the chapter and verse for the Bible verse. Meditate on (Think about) the prayer target, the scripture verse and how the two connect one with the other. Then answer these questions:
