Mia’s Narrative Writing: FOUND The poster on the wooden light post stopped Ava Wood immediately. A 13 year old girl named Ally Anderson had gone missing. Ava then remembered the story of Ally going missing on the news three days ago. The description of Ally was that she had golden toffee hair, a beauty mark on her chin and was last seen wearing a pink jumper with light blue jeans. Ava was determined to find her. She spent the next four days looking in cafes and in alleyways but there was no sign of Ally. The police were also looking for her but they had no luck. Every day there were more and more news reports on this missing girl. Everyone was wo Ava then decided to look in the forest as there was one about 15minutes away from Ally’s street. As she was getting closer to the forest she could her a very faint scream. Ava then went into the forest and there was a person screaming for help. Ava then rushed over to try and find where the screams were coming from and it was Ally! After weeks of trying to find her Ava finally did. A lot of weight was lifted off her shoulders. “Is your name Ally?” said Ava praying that she would say yes The girl nodded. “How did you end up in the forest?” Ally explained that she was walking late at night and all of a sudden she was lost and didn’t know her way back. Ava then took Ally back home and as soon as her family saw her they were crying tears of joy. Now Ava all was over the news and in lots of articles explaining how much of a hero she was. Ava decided to search in Thompson Forest, a 15 minute walk from Ally’s street. Ava knew this forest well. As a child she had come here with her twelve week old chocolate lab puppy. She had fallen asleep with bluebirds singing in the trees. When she woke, her puppy was nowhere to be seen. Ava and her family looked for hours but no one spotted her puppy, Ally. She cried for weeks. The forest was covered in trees that swayed from side to side. Ava’s chestnut hair was getting caught in the branches while her pale, thin legs had bruises and scratch marks all over them. Thunder rumbled in the background. It was getting dark as shadows covered the forest floor. Ava was not going to give up. I’m not leaving here till I find you. “Ally, where are you?” Ava yelled out. She heard a faint scream. Ava rushed over. The screams were coming from Ally! After nearly a week of trying to find her, Ava finally did. A weight was lifted off her shoulders. Ally cried tears of joy as she flung her arms around Ava. “It's ok Ally, you're safe now. I found you.”
