A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR PR. DAVID D WALKES We are called to shine in the darkened world that humanity faces, so they will see the light of the salvation of God in Jesus Christ. What we are and what we do must be the reflection of Christ in our living every day, one day at a time. It is not easy, but it is ‘grace possible’ through the power of the indwelling Christ. This is the Manifesto of our lives hidden in Christ

Jesus.

This

is

to

the

manifestation of His transformation in our lives. The call to each of us today is simple, where do you need His grace applied? It is more than available through His sacrifice for our sin. Where is He calling you to shine, to live, to serve? As you are changed your world needs to know the God you know. Jesus prayed for this partnership to be a reality for every child of God, when he prays in John 17:22-23 KJV [22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: [23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Let us embrace the partnership with God today and each day to fill the earth with His love

11

MAKING WISE DECISIONS WHILST TRUSTING GOD SIS SALENE & ELD DAVID BUSHELL FAMILY LIFE LEADERS We need to make wise decisions, no matter what age we are or what stage of life we are in. Daily we are confronted with a series of decisions, such as, what career path we should take or who should we date, where we should live, how we invest our money or how do you guide and advise our children and grandchildren. Life is a series of decisions. Many of us have already made important decisions and some because of our different ages, still have important decisions to make. The direction of our life and the destiny of our lives are determined by the decisions made. Some decisions have far-reaching consequences and other decisions are not as far-reaching. Many of the decisions made determine our destiny, our character, and our eternity. Here are a few pointers on how to trust God in all situations, no matter what? ·We can give God our doubt. We all face circumstances that are completely out of control. These can be termed as life lessons to learn and to grow depending on God, no matter the situation. Can you relate to this phase? I’m trusting God in all situations, even when I can’t fully understand God’s plan and will for my life. Or do you try to convince yourselves that you can handle everything in your strength instead of trusting God in your situation? Take your situation to God in prayer, and trust that God will help you throughout the situation. Let go and let God exchange your worry and fear with His PEACE. When you give your situation to God, do not pick it back up, thinking that you can do a better job than our Heavenly Father. Don’t ever rely on your own strength.

When you find yourself having to make decisions, it is important to read a scripture. It brings about a PEACE. God is always available to speak to us through His word. We can immerse ourselves in encouraging and comforting scriptures or read specific verses on seeking guidance on a situation. No matter the option God is always available to speak to us through His word.

12

MAKING WISE DECISIONS WHILST TRUSTING GOD SIS SALENE & ELD DAVID BUSHELL FAMILY LIFE LEADERS

One can seek counsel when making decisions, but they should ensure that they get the counsel from the right people, such as persons who live a life honouring God and who exhibit the fruit of the spirit, persons who will provide an unbiased perspective. Choose someone who doesn’t have an agenda, but cares about you making the best decision. Ultimately one must weigh their choices, and not follow what others do or tell them to do.

GOD ALWAYS TRUST

A PRAYER FOR OUR CHILDREN SIS SHIRLEY CARRINGTON PRAYER MINISTRY COORDINATOR

Children of our heavenly Father safely in thy bosom gather; From all evil things He spares them, in His mighty arms He bears them. Father, you said that you will contend with them that contend with us ,and you will save our children, We thank thee that your Word prevails over our children, that they be taught of the Lord and be the fruit of godly instruction. We ask that you grant them peace and an undisturbed composure, that they will be obedient and not conformed to the things of this world, or the flesh. Help them to be Holy in all their conduct, desiring the pure milk of the Word, that they may grow in grace and in the knowledge and fear of the Lord. Help them to be content with what they have and not to be covetous. Remind them through your Spirit to always do what is right and to share. Instruct them how to walk and please you, increasing in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man as Jesus did, when He walked this earth. Clothe them with humility so that they may be respectful to their seniors and one another. As they grow in You, may they learn to cast their cares on You and be doers of your Word. Prompt them to hide your Words in their hearts, so they can be safeguarded from the wiles of the archdeceiver. Remove from them the spirit of fear and equip them with your love and a sound mind. Save them and call them to do your bidding, not according to works but according to Your own purpose. Deliver them from every evil work and preserve them, that they will not follow strangers or strange doctrines. Father choose for them to be connected with those who call on you with a pure heart. Let not cursing come out of their mouths or be heard in their hearts. Please Lord keep them safe so the wicked one cannot touch them. Give your Angels special charge to defend and preserve them, providing safety for them by day and night. May the love of Christ constrain them and be perfected in their hearts. Put enmity between them and the things of this world that will lead them away from you. I pray Lord that they do not imitate what is evil but that which is pleasing to God. Cleanse

righteousness, faith, love and peace, that they may have a good conscience and desire to live honourably, with favor and high esteem with God and man. All this we ask for our children with thanksgiving, In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I thought I was so ready, but I’m not, I thought this would’ve been so easy, but it’s not. As the time pass, the days go fast, and the memories keep rushing through my mind of the plans made, thought it would have been a sweet escape. strength,

Philippians 4-13…. I thought I was so ready but I’m not. On another note, this ain’t no joke, perilous times are here filling this world with fear, the ones you love so dare you better draw them near… Pray, plan, prepare as Michael gets ready to stand, a long way from Gethsemane we’ve come and still I need the Lord to help me make it through the night, make it through the night, you’ll must think I’m afraid of the dark, but no I’m just attracted to the light, way pass the infatuated stage. I found a love like no other, Oh Yes, HE Touched ME and I’m hoping these words will touch you too, cause you must let your light so shine before men that they see your good works and glorify your father which is in Heaven, Matthew 5:16, I thought I was so ready but I’m not.   by Bro.
