A British-designed course, with a clubhouse in a typical Catalan farmhouse built in 1841. The first nine holes, lined by pines and cork oaks, contrast with the back nine, situated on the plain with broad freeways leading to the par-5 18th hole, the final challenge for complet-

Club de Golf Peralada Member of

The Club de Golf Peralada, with 18 holes and a total length of 6,071 m, is an ideal course for holding competitions of all levels or simply enjoying a pleasant, relaxing day. It is considered suitable for all players because its design adapts to various levels of play. The 18 holes are distributed into five par 3’s, four par 5’s and nine par 4’s. They are divided into two itineraries of nine holes that start and finish at the clubhouse, the first being par 36 and the second par 35, making a total of par 71 for the whole course.

The design of the course shows great respect for the environment. It is the first course to obtain the European Union’s EMAS Certification. It is located in the Peralada Resort, which also includes the wine cellars, the Castle, the Casino and, in the golf course itself, the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf with its own Wine Spa centre, the only one of its kind in Spain, which is based on therapy with derivates of wine.

Pere de Rodes and Ripoll, whose stones speak to us of a thousand years of life and culture. In recent years, through the eyes of artists, especially the masterly Salvador Dalí, we have discovered a new vision of our surroundings, both cultural and scenic, portrayed in priceless creations. Today, the Dalí Triangle, consisting of the Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, the Gala Dalí Castle-Museum in Púbol and the Dalí HouseMuseum in Portlligat, allows us to take this almost metaphysical journey through a world of tormented nature and idyllic, unique settings. Apart from the Dalí spaces, there are over 55 museums and 550 historic buildings to admire.

From the Middle Ages we have exceptional works of architecture like the monasteries of Sant Pere de Rodes and Ripoll, whose stones speak to us of a thousand years of life and culture.

Culture Speaking of culture in the Costa Brava and the Pirineu de Girona means going back to the dawn of civilisation. Starting our journey in the very earliest of times, we find megalithic monuments in the Albera and the Gavarres hills, prehistoric caves in Serinyà, the ancient Iberian settlement of Ullastret, and Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque and Modernist buildings in all of the itineraries. Our coast was visited and inhabited, especially for commercial purposes, by the Greeks, Carthaginians and Romans, who not only left their imprint here but built towns like Empúries, where today we can follow the footsteps of those ancient visitors.
