Initially, chemical formulas were obtained by determination of masses of all the elements that are combined to form a molecule and subsequently we come up with two important types of formulas in chemistry: molecular formula and empirical formula.

The molecular formula is the formula derived from molecules and is representative of the total number of individual atoms present in a molecule of a compound. A molecular formula uses a subscript that reports the actual number of each type of atom in a molecule of the compound. Molecular formulas are associated with gram molecular masses that are simple whole number multiples of the corresponding empirical formula mass.

While the empirical formula is the simplest formula for a compound which is defined as the ratio of subscripts of the smallest possible whole number of the elements present in the formula. It is also known as the simplest formula. An empirical formula for a compound is the formula of a substance written with the smallest integer subscript. The empirical formula gives information about the ratio of numbers of atoms in the compound. The percent composition of a compound directly leads to its empirical formula.

Simply said, the empirical formula of a compound gives the simplest ratio of the number of different atoms present, whereas the molecular formula gives the actual number of each different atom present in a molecule. If the formula is simplified then it is an empirical formula. The molecular formula is commonly used and is a multiple of the empirical formula.

The gas laws are a group of laws that govern the behavior of gases by providing relationships between the following:

The volume is occupied by gas. The pressure exerted by a gas on the walls of its container. The absolute temperature of the gas. The amount of gaseous substance (or) the number of moles of gas.

The gas laws were developed towards the end of the 18th century by numerous scientists (after whom, the individual laws are named). The five gas laws are:

Boyle’s Law, which provides a relationship between the pressure and the volume of a gas. Charles’s Law, which provides a relationship between the volume occupied by a gas and the absolute temperature. Gay-Lussac’s Law, which provides a relationship between the pressure exerted by a gas on the walls of its container and the absolute temperature associated with the gas. Avogadro’s Law, which provides a relationship between the volume occupied by a gas and the amount of gaseous substance. The Combined Gas Law (or the Ideal Gas Law), which can be obtained by combining the four laws listed above.

Under standard conditions, all gasses exhibit similar behavior. The variations in their behaviors arise when the physical parameters associated with the gas (such as temperature, pressure, and volume) are altered. The gas laws describe the behavior of gasses and have been named after the scientists who discovered them.

A cylinder with a movable piston contains 5.00 g of helium, He, at room temperature. More helium was added to the cylinder and the volume was adjusted so that the gas pressure remained the same. How many grams of helium were added to the cylinder if the volume was changed from 5.00 L to 5.70 L? (The temperature was held constant.) Step 1: Identify what law will be used by identifying its given:

Given: V1= 5.00 V2= 5.70L n1= 1.25 mol n2= ?

Where: V1= First Volume V2= Second Volume n1= First Amount of Gas (moles) n2= Second Amount of Gas (moles)

Hence, Avogadro’s law is closely related to the ideal gas equation since it links temperature, pressure, volume, and amount of substance for a given gas.

19

Step 2: Provide the Formula:

V1 = V2 N1 N2

Step 3: Substitute and Solve: Convert Grams to Moles

Mathematical functions and piecewise functions can be seen and applied in our everyday life. Functions are a set of numbers from set X, known as the domain, that is paired with numbers from set Y, known as the range. Values from the domain can only be paired with one of the values from the range, on the other hand, values from the range can be paired with more than one value from the domain. Functions can be applied in real life situations such as certain types of machines, measurements, basic economics, and many more. Meanwhile, a piecewise function is a kind of function that is defined by multiple sub-functions wherein each sub-function is applied in different intervals in the domain. Almost everything we see that moves applies a piecewise function such as a moving car wherein the velocity of a car differs and sometimes stops. 34

Simple interest refers to the amount of money being paid for a specific amount of time which is called the term. The length of time money is borrowed, lent/invested is termed simple interest. Amount of money that is charged for the use of borrowed money is interest expense. That is, from the point of view of the borrower, the said amount of money earned on invested money or money lent is interest income from the point of view of the creditor. Interest is computed on the original principle. in determining the simple interest, simply multiply the original principal by the interest rate by the number of time periods.

To create this project, members should have the know-how, to begin with; it works. We must have a strategy to do all the tasks and will not have any difficulties such as; cooperating with groupmates, helping each other, having a plan so that we know how to start the output, and time management. These strategies will help us simplify tasks. Designating a group leader is also crucial to leading the group. As a leader, the person must have the power to create ideas for the group and be open to our group mates and many more. As a member, members must follow what the duty given by their group leader is. Our members did their best to make this project astounding. Among our members, we have chosen three outputs for the project that stands out, which include the fifth-week activity of Mr. Francois Limson, the fourth-week output of Ms. Yvonne Macapagal, and lastly the fifth-week activity of Mr. Ryan Meneses. According to our input guidelines, we had followed the criteria to pursue clarity and cleanliness. These activities show creativity and the best way to emphasize the lesson. Output based on criteria was indeed the best. As we chose the best project, we required it to be criteria-based on accuracy, syntax, and consistency of ideas, which the three outputs had to contain.

The human race waste a lot of energy in their daily usage either by not turning the lights off when not in use or by utilizing old and inefficient appliances that consume large amount of energy or by not switching off the vehicle engine when the light is really long. Energy needs to be conserved not only to cut costs but also to preserve the resources for longer use.

Currently, the electricity that makes our life comfortable, safe and convenient, is mostly derived from fossil fuels - almost 80% ofthe energy is provided by coal, natural gas, and oil. But our planet took hundreds of millions of years to create fossil fuels, and there’s only so much of it. And, at current and projected energy usage, it’s all going to run out sooner than we’d like - oil and gas in the next 40 years of so, and coal within 150 years.

We, therefore, have a responsibility in hand to conserve and save energy as much we can to make it available for the future generations and protect our environment from further degradation. The purpose of this infographic is to inform everyone on how to save energy in the daily usage of our life. 50

Performing as an expert is a complicated job to do. The effects of a life coach could create an impactful event for the person. Being knowledgeable, persuasive, and truthful are the traits of a professional life coach. A life coachs' courage reveals the facts and affects the patient as your words can affect a patients' mental wellbeing. Appropriate description and advice are crucial and followed to meet the requirements and expertise.

Creating this project was challenging because a life coach needs to have a persuasive impact to be an effective life coach. In finding the best output for a life coach, we compile all of our then thoroughly follow the rubric in finding this best output. Thankfully we found our best of the best output as a life coach.

53

Decision-making is our utmost enemy on this project. In finding the best document, we instructed our groupmates to send their files and create an in-depth analysis of every piece of information that they gave us. Group cooperation has proven the increased input of data regarding the collection of projects.

In addition, we used individual graded scores to separate documents based on the rubric that are grammar, proper formatting, engagement, and persuasion. Communication between members creates information linked to knowledge and individual opinion that further builds trust and assistance. Finally, the leader gathers factual data and decides on the best output, and the group agrees.

BLISSFUL SOUL

The best thing that ever happened to me today was that I felt light and ready to be challenged. Do you know that today's excitement could change even the slightest of our problems or thoughts, even if the world hits us wounded by separating us from our loved ones? That one small step of kindness to yourself forms a new outlook in your life. I know from the bottom of our hearts that we miss those conversations. It is about us, hard-working people inside their homes fearing for their lives, clouded by self-judgment and painful demise. There is no place I would rather be among and no time I would rather be alive than loved ones gazing at each other's smiles. Because since the terrible events of the pandemic, hope's lost, and fear-mongering news has consumed our will.

You are here for a reason, to stand up from your bed and reach for heights you had never achieved before. Our country had never experienced this outrageous event, but how are we still standing with our arms on our chests? Mind-boggled, confused, and scared. Fear doesn't dictate how we shall do our joyful lives. I am afraid that the youth cannot understand their capabilities to mold our future. But we as humans should know when to risk leaving our comfort zones. I want to tell you first that with the dawn of the new decade is the hope of a fresh mind to help rebuild relationships and conquer unknown destinations.

I am thankful for the people who have stayed true to themselves, people who believed that one day this pandemic was once a part of our history. Soon we shall witness our greatness not knowing the fear of Covid-19 and celebrate the fact that you as an individual have conquered your fears. Wise decisions lead man to a hopeful peace of mind that one can relax and embrace their potential during this time of the global epidemic. Let us be brave to accumulate strength and be the beacon of light that convinces others into a hopeful future.

55

Among all of the outputs of all of the members of group 3, the one that fits the role of a life coach's speech the best is the work of one Francois Limson; his piece holds itself high and inspires and encourages people to keep moving forward with their lives. We chose this output as the best output because it meets the criteria of effort, style, grammar, vocabulary and matches the theme of hope. During this pandemic, professionals understand how citizens function, and these life coaches enable us to develop our mental well-being without having flaws or fears. In addition, having a positive outlook changes decisive life decisions, especially during the pandemic. We never know what we could miss if we had hoped during those times, so let us enjoy what we have and interact with loved ones.

In conclusion, our group utilized output analysis of every aspect and reason to decide on the final output. Teamwork and information relieved members and formed a faster environment for the students to work. Lastly, we used knowledge, data, and the rubric to separate the best to the least on grammar, proper formatting, and more.

The Orphic Magazine, or the content-based integration (CBI), enabled each editorial staff member to think creatively and develop excellent communication skills, which aided in the refinement and understanding of the materials and courses for the First Semester. This Magazine is the result of each member's hard work and collaborative effort, demonstrating their commitment and ambition to produce such output. Given the challenges, each editorial staff did the best of their abilities as passionate members to comply with good quality outputs following the rubric given. In addition, this Content-Based Integration has allowed the members to learn, cooperate, and adopt various types of tasks that have been given to them. The four main parts of the orphic magazine are accomplished by all of the members, without them we couldn't have made this Content-Based Integration possible and we would like to extend our gratitude to each of our members. To each member that gave their time and effort to this group project, we extend our gratitude to our fellow members for what they’ve done to complete this project. We can now finally put it to the end, as a group, filling our group with laughter, perseverance, dedication, and teamwork, that our Content-Based Integration project work ended with a success.
