Structure Of A Class
1. The class begins with a warmup that lasts 8-10 minutes, consisting of three songs. It begins with simple step-touch movements, meaning that students don’t travel around the room.
2. The warmup continues with higher intensity cardio, followed by toning. This is designed to get the blood flowing and prepare for the main portion of the class.
3. The next 40 minutes are the main portion of the class. There are a number of songs with varying intensity.
4. The songs during the main part of the class contain four main types of dancing: salsa, meringue, reggaeton and cumbia.
5. The final two songs are the cooldown. The first song is focused on bringing the heart rate down, and the second is for stretching.
Playlist Here are some sample songs that Wendi uses. Listen to them to get a feel for the class.
