A pressure regulator must be connected in series with the manifold on the cooktop and must remain in series with the supply line. For proper operation, the maximum inlet pressure to the regulator must be no more than 14" of water column (W.C.) pressure. Use galvanized or aluminum duct in 6" round or 3½" x 10" size, or a combination of both. PVC duct should be used if installing under a poured concrete slab. Use the shortest and straightest duct run possible. For satisfactory performance, the duct run should not exceed 100 feet equivalent length. Refer to the "Calculating Duct Length" chart for equivalent lengths. (see page 14). All duct joints should be fastened with a screw and sealed with tape as shown in Figure 5.
