BAUTIZOS EN SAN PIO V

The word bapƟsm in its origins is Greek and means "immersion" and "bath." Immersion in water is a sign of death and emersion out of the water means new life. To bathe in water is also to undergo cleansing. Saint Paul sums up this truth when he says, "You were buried with him in bapƟsm, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead" (Col 2:12).

St. Pius V Catholic School SPV students are Builders of the Kingdom of God who demonstrate their respect for God and others through their words and actions. They practice their role as disciples of Jesus through service. Service is a major part of SPV students in all grade levels. Some of the individuals and organizations helped this year included St. Vincent de Paul, Christmas toys for needy families in the community, pajamas for children in need, working at the food bank to help feed the homeless, donations for Smile Train and Operation Gratitude, and collecting monies for the Heart Foundation.
