KATA KATA Introduction Malay is the national language of Malaysia which is the pride of our ancestors. It has become the main identity of the country that shows our beautiful culture and nation. Malay rich with aesthetic value in their art of language such in proverbs (‘peribahasa’), ‘pantun’, and ‘gurindam’. ‘Peribahasa’ was regarded as the same as ‘pepatah’ or ‘bidal’ by Husny (1972). According to him, ‘pepatah’, ‘peribahasa’ or ‘bidal’ carries the meaning of: A conclusion which is compactly and pithily stated, sometimes in the form of a pantun (quatrain), sometimes consisting only of two sentences and some even being drawn in only a very short sentence. As Malaysian, we have been enlighten with a meaningful messages and advices from our ancestors that is related and useful to our daily life through the art of words. It is beautifully created and it deserve to appreciated by us, Malaysian in our lifetime.

KATA KATA Problem Statement ? ? Bahasa Melayu nowadays is being forgotten by younger generation because of environment and influence of MODERNIZATION. Most of them struggling to speak in their own mother tongue’s language, Malay. Modernization of language is involved along with the technological explosion and globalization loaded with various applications through computers and smartphones. There are some other possible causes of this problem, including the lack of application from appropriate Malay language in daily conversation, causing a low knowledge of understanding the basic words and phrases.

Besides, most crucially, they have practice English in subjects in school education, and it seems like the mother tongue being forgotten slowly days by days. Gen Z Modern and mixed language - Azlina Jalaluddin The language used by Gen Z is increasingly lowering the level of language where the use of modern language contains mixed language and the confusion of the language used prevalent

KATA KATA ‘Kata-Kata’ will beneficial to both the nation and younger generations. It is a lead for a better country with citizens that proudly use their mother tongue anywhere and anytime to show our identity. Significance of Reseacrh This will encourage the younger generation to build a spirit to stand for their mother tongue and speak loudly surpass the worldwide language. It will expose us to how important all words and phrases in Malay have been created, as it beautifully absorbed meaningful lessons and hidden messages that related to our life.

KATA KATA Reseacrh Methodology Data Collection Primary Data: Interview Secondary Data The questions will be provided for the interviewees that is related with the issue and the interview session will be conducted either face to face or in online platform. It will be hosted in Google Form and the link of the survey will be distributed in social media platforms.The target of the respondent will be the parents who have children age 7 to 12 Reseach data will be compile from books, journals, and internet.
