Introduction There is something uniquely satisfying about placing the needle and spinning a record from a classic collection or a new release. Vinyl records offer a warmer, richer sound quality that digital formats do not, with clarity of sound balanced with portability and nostalgic design. Enjoy! 2 NOTE: Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not t into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet. Some of the following information may not apply to your particular product; however, as with any electronic products, precaution should be observed during handling and use. 1. Insert the power cord into the DC IN jack at the rear of the case and plug the power cord into an electric socket (100-240v). 3. On rst use, ensure that the cable tie is removed from the player arm. 4. Remove the protective Stylus cover (Figure 1) and keep in a safe place for future use. 5. Turn POWER Switch/VOLUME Control clockwise to turn ON, a red power light will be illuminated. 6. Turn the AUDIO MODE knob to the PHONO position. 7. Move the Speed selector to the speed (33/45/ or 78 RPM) corresponding to the record to be played. 8. Place a vinyl record onto the turntable spindle and unclip the TONE ARM (Figure 2). 9. With the CUING LEVER lift the TONE ARM (Figure 3) and move the arm (Figure 4) so that the stylus is positioned just inside the edge of the record, or aligned with the start of a track to be played. 10. Slowly lower the TONE ARM and after a short interval the record will start to play. 11. Use the VOLUME Control knob to adjust volume to the desired level. 12. Use the CUING LEVER again, to lift the TONE ARM (the deck will start to rotate again), move it back to the clip and lower into the cradle. The deck will stop. 13. Secure the tone arm using the clip and ret the stylus cover after use. ALWAYS ATTACH STYLUS COVER BEFORE MOVING THE TURNTABLE. 14. To turn OFF the turntable at any time, lift the TONE ARM on the record and turn the VOLUME knob fully counterclockwise to the OFF position. NOTE: • When playing a 45 RPM record, use the 45 RPM Adapter located in the holder near the tone arm. • Always ret the stylus cover and secure the turntable arm using the clip before moving turntable. Manual/AUTO-STOP Selector: The record will stop automatically when nished. If the switch is in the OFF position, the record will not stop automatically when nished. Figure 2


Connectivity Wireless Bluetooth Operation An external Bluetooth-enabled device can be wirelessly connected to play music from the device through the turntable's speakers from up to 33 feet away. 1. Turn the AUDIO MODE function knob to Bluetooth the blue indicator light will begin to ash. 2. Turn your Bluetooth-enabled device setting ON and search devices. 3. Select the Bluetooth pairing name "Byron Statics 02" to connect to the turntable's speakers. 4. Once connected, the blue indicator light will stop ashing and you can play music from your Bluetooth device through your record player. Control playback and volume through your Bluetooth device. NOTE: The turntable does not have a Bluetooth transmitter, audio playback is only possible from a wireless Bluetooth-enabled device to playback through the turntable’s built-in speakers. Using Headphones/Earphones In order to listen to records without disturbing others, a headphone jack has been included. Using the 3.5mm end of your headphones, or wired earphones, plug cable into the headphone port that is next to the volume knob. The turntable speakers will not operate when headphones are plugged in. CAUTION: Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. 6 Aux-In Operation Connect an external (auxiliary) audio source such as CD/MP3 player, mobile phone or tablet via the LINE-IN jack. 1. Connect your device using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) into the turntable LINE-IN jack located on the deck next to the AUDIO MODE knob. 2. Turn the AUDIO MODE function knob to the LINE-IN position, 3. Plug the other end of the Audio cable into the Headphone or Line-Out jack of the external device. 4. Press the PLAY button on your device to hear audio from your device. To control playback use the device’s track controls as usual. 5. Playback and volume can be controlled by the external device. Set volume on device to high and adjust with turntable Volume control for maximum audio output. 6. To turn OFF the unit at any time, turn the Volume knob fully counter-clockwise (red LED light will turn off). OPTIONAL Stereo Amplier Connection: If connection the turntable to external speakers via a audio amplier using a twin phono leads (not included) to connect to RCA output jacks. Turntable LINE-OUT Audio Cable with twin phono leads (not included) Connecting External Devices Connecting Turntable to External Speaker To connect to an external speaker with LINE-IN port, a 2-channel RCA cable to 3.5mm Line-out audio cable has been supplied. 1. With the supplied cable connect the red RCA plug into the turntable rear audio port colored in red and with “R” next to the plug. Connect the white RCA plug into the turntable rear audio port colored in white and with “L” next to the plug. 2. Care & Maintenance Changing or Replacing the Stylus 1. Ensure the TONE ARM is secured by the locking clip. 2. Insert the tip of a small screwdriver (not included) as shown (Figure 6) and gently push in a downward direction A. 3. Carefully and gently remove the old stylus in the direction B of (Figure 7). 4. Hold the tip of the new stylus in direction C, align the guide pins as shown and clip into position in direction D until it locks at the tip (Figure 8). Caring for the Turntable Wipe external surfaces with a soft cloth. If the case is very dirty, unplug from the electric outlet and use a damp cloth soaked in a weak solution of washing up liquid and water. Allow to dry thoroughly before reusing turntable. Caring for the Your Records Hold records by the label or outside edges (Figure 9). Oils from clean hands can leave a residue on the record surface that will gradually deteriorate the quality of the record. Keep records in a cool, dry place and store records in their sleeves and jackets when not in use. Store records upright (on their edges). Records stored horizontally will eventually bend and warp. Do not expose records to direct sunlight, high humidity and high temperatures. Long exposure to high temperatures will warp the record. Should records become dirty, gently warp the surface in a circular pattern using a soft anti-static cloth (not included, shown in Figure 10) suitable for this application.
