La piedra de hacer sopa Un día llegó un extraño a un pueblo y llamó a la casa de una mujer para que le diese algo de comer. ‘Lo siento, pero en este momento no tengo nada en casa’, dijo ella. ‘No se preocupe’, dijo amablemente el extraño, ‘tengo una piedra en mi mochila con la que podría hacer una sopa. Si me permitiera ponerla en una olla de agua hirviendo, yo haría la mejor sopa del mundo’. A la mujer le picó la curiosidad y fue a contar el secreto de la piedra a sus vecinos, pero antes, buscó la olla más grande y la colocó en el centro de la plaza. El extraño preparó el fuego y cuando el agua empezó a hervir ya estaba todo el vecindario en torno a aquel extraño que, tras dejar caer la piedra en el agua, probó una cucharada, exclamando: ‘¡Deliciosa! Lo único que necesita son unas cuantas patatas.’ Una mujer se ofreció de inmediato para traerlas de su casa. El hombre probó de nuevo la sopa, que ya sabía mucho mejor, pero echó en falta un poco de carne. De inmediato, otra mujer corrió a su casa a buscarla. Y con el mismo entusiasmo y curiosidad se repitió la escena al pedir unas verduras y sal. Por fin pidió: ‘¡Platos para todo el mundo!’ La gente fue a sus casas a buscarlos y hasta trajeron pan y fruta. Luego se sentaron todos a disfrutar de la espléndida comida, sintiéndose extrañamente felices de compartir, por primera vez, su comida. Y aquel hombre extraño desapareció dejándoles la milagrosa piedra, que podrían usar siempre que quisieran hacer la más deliciosa sopa del mundo. Anónimo SECTION 2 – Part A – continued

Claudia, estudiante ¡Hola amigos! Esta vez, a pesar del frío, estoy planeando viajar a Granada, ciudad repleta de música, poesía y arte monumental. Cuéntenme algo más. Pedro, periodista En mi último artículo publiqué ya algo sobre mi viaje durante el invierno a la Alhambra en Granada. Fue inicialmente una fortaleza militar y desde el siglo XIII sede de reyes. Es una de las mayores atracciones turísticas de España, un ejemplo extraordinario de la magnífica arquitectura de la España musulmana. Ha sido fuente de inspiración de escritores, poetas y músicos. Me sorprendió que los activistas sociales utilicen la carga simbólica y fama universal de la Alhambra para realizar acciones de protesta en medios de comunicación. ¡Visítala! Camila, ambientalista Pues te recomiendo que en invierno aproveches los deportes de nieve en las escarpadas cumbres de la Sierra Nevada. Granada es una tierra de contrastes donde las montañas llegan casi hasta la costa y acaban en acantilados y playas de la costa tropical. Recuerda que los veranos cálidos y suaves te permiten aventurarte por recónditos pueblos alpujarreños*.
