MCCALLUM LEAGUE
THE LOCKER ROOM GROWTH MINDSET SOCIETY MARCH 30, 2023
MCCALLUM LEAGUE
Women have always been instrumental in shaping and strengthening communities. Whether it's by fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace, providing job opportunities for underrepresented groups, or championing initiatives that support social and economic progress, women in staffing play a vital role in creating a better future for all. Their inspiring stories and remarkable achievements are a testament to the transformative power of female leadership and its profound impact on individuals, businesses, and society.
We have an astounding representation (over 71%!) of strong, powerful, and influential women within the McCallum League. It's essential for us to recognize that Women's History Month is not just about celebrating the achievements of a handful of women within our regional family, yet recognizing the contributions of every single one of our HERoes. We thank each of you for always showing up and being willing to go above and beyond to ensure women like you get the chance to succeed in everything they do. You are role models to future generations, influencing them to pursue their passion for helping people, just like you have.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT SHOUT OUT
Stacy Stack Resource Team Stacy visited Washougal High School with our team this week to take part in a career readiness program for students. She sent me this message afterwards:
"I had a great conversation with one of the high school students about being on time to school. He was kind of bragging that he wasn’t on time and I mentioned to him that what we do now will carry on into when we get a job. He said "I would be on time if they paid me to be here" and I said well, you know what? If you’re late when you have a boss, you might lose your job, and now is an excellent time to create the habit of being on time. We talked about the fact that when he goes to school and is on time, he learns things that will help him in his future success, and the more knowledge he has, the more money he can make in the future with his knowledge (money was important to him). He came up to me afterward, and we had a really good talk. He didn’t have to do that. I think what I said to him struck a chord. This type of conversation is why we do what we do." ❤️ Stacy, your commitment to people and our communities is inspiring. I bet that student was on time today! -Krista DiGiacomo, Vancouver, WA
Dale Carnegie Course Graduates I was lucky enough to attend the "reunion" of the Dale Carnegie graduates a couple weeks ago at Stoller Family Estate. The level of professional development and emotional connection in this group was impressive and moving. I was honored to be a part of it. Two truths and a lie was hysterical. (Laura Moore, looking at you!) If Dale Carnegie is something you are interested in for your professional development, please connect with your franchise owner. -Jody White; Resource Team

"I have been with Express for a while now, and it's so awesome how they can help you look for all kinds of different jobs. I am comfortable with these jobs, and I want to give them a great review because they have helped me out through a lot."

NW VETS IN TECH! Last week, Hillsboro SRG Managing Director Brandy Coleman and SRG Downtown Portland Managing Director Caleb White had the opportunity to speak in front of a group of Veterans and share current job opportunities and advice on seeking employment in the tech field.
NWVIT is a community created by military veterans that seeks to empower all people within technology careers. They offer inclusive professional services accessible to everyone seeking more meaningful employment. In addition, their organization focuses on connecting people through their military culture and education on how to unlock pathways to rewarding careers.
"SRG Portland and Hillsboro had the opportunity to host a local veterans group at the Tualatin Resource Center last week. The team talked through challenges with finding roles and had a big focus on increasing our diversity recruiting efforts. We were able to establish very strong connections within the group and are going to be making a push internally to collaborate with the group more often and put more local veterans to work in the IT space. Stoller wine and Bellagios pizza was a huge hit for the group!" -Caleb White
Special thank you to TSG Technical Support Representative Joe Van Winkle for bringing this opportunity to our SRG team!
