About The Logo
KaicoCon Logo Guidlines
The logo was created for the KaicoCon anime and Japanese pop-culture convention and festival. With an effort to incorporate the main purpose of the event, to celebrate and enjoy the love for all things Japan. The logo design depicts a fox mask also known as a ‘kitsune’ mask which is a type of mask commonly seen at festivals in Japan. This logo is meant to be used in order to identify various assets of KaicoCon such as official business cards or favicons.

The static ground is a white box or transparent box that frames the other components of the logo. The graphic element is made up of a black base shape that resembles the form of a kitsune mask or or simply a fox head. The identification of the mask relies on the four red shapes that are on top of the black base that can be visualized as the eye, whiskers, nose and mouth. The tagline of the default logo states the name of the event, KaicoCon, and underneath the tagline concisely addresses the purpose and theme of the event with “The Retro Anime Convention”.

Logo Options There are four different color configurations that can be used for this logo, the two color version, the black and white version, the greyscale version, and the inverted version. When applicable, the two color version is preferred.

When the two color version is inapplicable, for instance full color is unavailable, the black and white version should be used. If the logo is used against a dark background, the inverted version of the logo should be used to contrast the background. If the vertical version of the logo is not suitable and a horizontal arrangement is necessary, the horizontal arrangements are provided.

Color The primary color used is Pantone Red 032 U. This color was chosen for its brightness against the black base shape and the connection there is a connection to red on the Japanese national flag. The secondary color is solid black which was selected to help the primary color contrast.
