overcoming social anxiety to become a customer service representative

PWD beneficiary Salman is 25 and holds a bachelor's degree in Islamic Studies with proficiency in English language. Salman suffers from visual impairment (severely impaired sight) and aspires to have the right job. PWD team reached out to him and introduced the program’s benefits. He joined the program and was nominated for a job of his desire. He was interviewed for in the role but unfortunately was not accepted. The team reached out to the employer to inquire why he was not accepted, and it turned out that Salman needed to improve his interview skills. (Job interview skill) course was recommended to the beneficiary, after which he was nominated for an interview at the Movenpick Hotel on 3/8/2022, where he was employed for an administrative role (laundry services supervisor). He started his duties on 7/8/2022, and completed the 4-month sustainability period, and the team also reached out to him in order to improve his management skills with a training course entitled "Business Fundamentals".

Nouf, and for a long time, experienced extreme stress during interviews, despite her previous work experience as an "administrative assistant. Although she has a major in English, and her language fluency, she was unable to present herself properly in English. After joining the program, she attended several soft skills training courses, like Emotional Intelligence and Presentation & Effective Communication skills. She also received psychological support by arranging a psychological session that provided her with a set of tips. She also attended a mock-up interview to break the dread of interviews and to make sure she was ready for future job interviews. She was eventually nominated for the “Customer Service” role and was onboarded in no time.
