Gather

April 9 | Easter

Adventure Guides will create a welcoming and energetic space to grow in our faith!

Series: Choices Scripture: Matthew 28:1-10 Theme: Easter Sunday

Pathway to Gather 1. Have Music playing as the kids come into the worship space

“123 Jesus is Alive” -Music Video

2. Welcome the kids and introduce yourself as the Adventure Guide! The Easter story proclaims the mystery of faith—Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. There are some wonderful liturgical chants you can teach kids with these words!

3. Adventure Guide Reads  Say> Good news is hard to keep to yourself. Jesus told the women to go and tell the disciples that Jesus is alive! Let’s share some good news. Have the kids sit in a circle. Whisper one of the phrases below in someone’s ear. That kid then repeats it to the next person. Kids continue to whisper the news in each other’s ears until it makes it to the end of the circle. The last player then repeats what they heard out loud. Invite kids to tell their own good news. Everyone can tell the good news that Jesus is alive again! The huge stone was gone! The angel said, “Jesus isn’t here.” Share the good news: Jesus is risen!
