wcedonline.westerncape.gov.za Employment and salary enquiries: 0861 819 919 | Safe Schools: 0800 45 46 47 Western Cape Education Department 2 2 TOPIC TIME FRAMES LTS APPLICATIONS Learner transport applications for the following year – submitted to CM AUGUST YEARLY CEMIS VERIFICATIONS (This is not an application for transport form) Verify the number of learners making use of the learner transport services MARCH YEARLY WCED 061 FORMS (This is not an application for transport form) The school must ensure that all approved learners on the route complete WCED 061 forms which represent their parents’ agreement that learners may be transported. 31ST JANUARY YEARLY LTS CLAIM DATES The school must ensure to handover claim forms to contractors. The district office will inform schools of set payment periods for the year. The 15th day of every month or the last school day prior thereto. Devolved routes – 1st and 31st of every month (6 monthly). WCED 095 FORM The school must conduct visual vehicle inspections, once a month, to assess the condition of the vehicle(s) and completes the Vehicle Inspection Checklist. Must be submitted together with claim forms COMPLAINTS / NON-COMPLIANCE ISSUES The school oversees and monitors compliance in respect of the LTS and addresses any deviations by the LTS contractor, with them, on an ongoing basis.
