We are not very good at “denying ourselves” in our society. Our current economic situation is evidence of what happens when people think they can have everything they want. Jesus calls us to set our own personal “wants” aside so that we have the resources to follow Him instead.

International Festival Planning is Underway Join the Fun!

For over 40 years, GS parishioners have joined together for fun and fellowship at our International Festival. What used to be a oneday event has become a weekend of celebrations, including a 5K, the White Elephant Sale, a special Mass, and a Festival Day full of games, food, and entertainment! YOU can be part of the fun! • Help with the 5K and Fun Run (see page 8). • Join the team of volunteers for the White Elephant (Assistant Co-chair, Publicity, Process jewelry donations, Help sort and price donations.
