December 2022 Short Bio My name is Nagham Copty. I began my studies in the field of architecture (2013-2018) at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. I worked directly in diverse offices after my studies (2018-2021). I have been involved in different kinds of projects; some were public buildings such as a college, a hospital, a hotel, and a nursing home. And some were residential buildings, the size of a neighborhood and the size of private Homes. During my work in architecture offices, I also had the opportunity to intervene in projects of residential houses and villas and to design the Interiors design of the house and a small amount from the offices. I moved to Florence, Italy, to study for a master's degree in interior design (2021-2022) at the Florence Institute of Design International, Florence.

Final year thesis project Border of Nazareth Revive the city of Nazareth Project’s location Despite the high status of the city of Nazareth among the Arab population and the "city of the gospel" according to the Nazarite religion, which makes it a leading tourist destination around the world, unfortunately, the economic-social situation in Nazareth is a constant trend of retreat, this retreat, mainly due to the abandonment and weakening of the " Old City" which for many years was the beating economic heart of Nazareth. Over the years, this situation caused the creation of a phenomenon of "youth migration" outside of Nazareth. In this project, I decided to "revitalize" the heart of Nazareth, this time through the utilization of the abandoned buildings in the old city, to build a university that will invite the young people back to the town and create renewed economic prosperity for the citizens. According to the plan, the ground floors of the buildings whose facades will be preserved with old stone, which are abandoned and scattered in the city, will be used to build businesses and places of entertainment, to revive the town during the day and at night. And on the roofs of these buildings, an addition to the university will be built, and the connection between the buildings scattered on the upper floors will be a connection on the roofs of the existing abandoned and non-abandoned buildings. In addition, it was planned to build a new travel route so that the area could be accessible in an emergency, and this was through the demolition of part of one of the abandoned buildings. And the demolition of part of the facades of one of the buildings to connect the center of the project, the pedestrian walkway, and the new travel lane. Unfortunately, the building is slowly losing its importance and this is because of the advanced life and the need of the people changing from day today. How can one maintain such an important building and cover the consumers of the people today? I think one of the important things is to open as many closed spaces as possible and let in the natural light, to have a wide and ventilated place, to add nature and clean air to arrange places to sit, dance and sing, to do PUBLIC SPACE That will allow more and more people to join, and relive it. Make it accessible to all people to come and join in the events, nature, and fun atmosphere that everyone is looking for. buildings more sustainable and green culture and nature be our allies spaces for the future
