STONE WOOL ACOUSTIC CEILING Stone wool has unique qualities that make it perfectly suited for a wide range of purposes including insulation and acoustic control. The production process for ROCKWOOL stone wool is a technological replica of what happens inside of a volcano, with the volcanic rock being melted into lava and then spun and cooled in a controlled environment. Rockwool products are robust insulation material suitable for hot surfaces up to 650C. Rockwool are made from long fine fibres spun from natural rock bonded with a thermosetting resin. The resulting stone wool is processed to make final products like ceiling panels. Rockfon stone wool ceiling panels are known for their beautiful aesthetics and key performance characteristics of superior acoustic control, fire protection, humidity resistance, durability and optimum light reflection. The Rockfon product range not only comprises a wide selection of acoustic ceiling tiles, it also features islands and baffles. Early native inhabitants discovered woolen-like strings of stone lying on the ground following these eruptions and attributed it to hair from the goddess, Pele. Modern geologists have identified it as primarily igneous basalt, the earth's most abundant bedrock. This natural stone wool has thus become understood to be formed by the rapid cooling of lava from eruptions on the sea floor which creates the thin strands of stone. The strands flare out randomly creating a non-directional pattern that provides some unique and valuable characteristics related to strength and stability. The recognition of the value of this stone wool has led producers to emulate and imitate the process to create building products out of manufactured stone wool. TECHNOLOGY APPROACH Speech Privacy Potential (S design for and specify soun enclosed rooms. Total sound insulation mus noise sources above, below the many possible paths the ABILITY Stone wool is considered to advantages of stone wool inc temperature resistance, good water repellency. Stone wool a and able to minimize fire from reaction to fire class certificat Fire resistance vs fire resilience Resistance? Resilience? Aren’t they the same thing? Fire resistance is how well a material withstands burning, while resilience refers to the ability of the building to continue functioning after the fire has stopped. By having a non-combustible ceiling, the risk of a fire spread is reduced and therefore it can help minimize the damage to the building. Our stone wool solutions can offer both. It not only delays the spread of fire and can save lives, but it also decreases fire-related damages and environmental, societal and financial impacts. ROCKWOOL stone wool can withstand temperatures up to 1000°C. It is non-flammable and doesn't produce significant toxic smoke. Low smoke toxicity Although fires can make us think of flames and heat, the real danger is toxic smoke. In fact, inhalation of toxic smoke is the biggest cause of fire-related casualties . High concentrations of toxic smoke create a hazardous environment that can also make it harder for people to escape fire. Fortunately, our stone wool ceiling tiles have very low organic content and produce very little smoke. Absorption indicates the soun of discrete elements such as baffles.

Optimized Acoustics Obsorption Optimize Sound Insulation Optimize Background Sound Acoustic absorption occurs when friction inside the pores of a material converts energy in sound waves into negligible heat energy via an architectural surface, such as a suspended ceiling. As more sound energy is absorbed by the surface, less of it is reflected back into the space as noise, reverberation, echo, or flutter. Acoustic absorption is the most effective approach for lowering noise within spaces. It reduces the intensity of the noise, improving acoustic comfort and overall well-being. Acoustic absorption required in building standards, guidelines, and rating systems is defined by Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of the suspended acoustic ceiling system or by the maximum reverberation time (RT) When a substantial, impermeable architectural surface or assemblage, like a wall made of multiple layers of gypsum board or a concrete slab, reflects sound energy, it results in sound insulation, also known as sound isolation. There is extremely minimal sound transmission into adjacent rooms as a result of the surface's reflection of the sound. Sound privacy and voice privacy are both facilitated by sound insulation. Sound Transmission Class (STC): STC is a rating of a wall assembly's sound insulation effectiveness that has been evaluated in a lab. Higher numbers represent sound insulation between rooms that is more effective. Designed background sound can be classified into two main categories: that which is intended to calm or comfort people mentally, and that which is intended just to reduce the clarity and distractibility of speech. Some individuals immediately link background noise to the building's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and conveyance systems as well as to electronic sound-masking devices. Sound privacy and speech secrecy between enclosed rooms are dependent on the architecture's sound-blocking capacity in relation to the background sound. SPP) is an easy way to nd privacy between st address multiple and next to rooms and e noise can travel. Fire performance be one of the best materials for heat and sound insulation and fire protection. The main clude low thermal conductivity, non-combustibility and inability to support combustion, high d sound insulation, resistance to microorganisms, chemical neutrality, steam permeability and acoustic panels have a very low calorific content, which makes them certifiably non-combustible m spreading via their surface to other materials. This is the reason our products receive the best te and guarantees an ideal component of safe, healthy, fire resilient buildings 03 nd absorption property s acoustic islands and
