INTRODUCTION Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم (said, "There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him. " 1

AIMS & GOALS : OBJECTIVES : In SABEEL we will take different paths through which we can reach the love, satisfaction and Guidance of Allah. This course will enable students to discover the purpose of the life and work for it. 2

CHAPTER-1 WHY SABEEL ? 4

The name of this course is inspired by this noble verse: تي ِه َي َّل م ِبا جا ِدل ُه و ِع َظ ِة ال َح َسَن ِة َو َم ِة َوال َم بي ِل َر ِّب َك ِبال ِحك َس لى ِإ ُع ﴿اد َن﴾ دي َت ه َل ُم ِبال ُم ع َأ َو ُه بيِل ِه َو َس ن َض َّل َع ن َل ُم ِب َم ع َأ َو َّن َر َّب َك ُه ِإ َس ُن ح َأ ]النحل: ١٢٥] (125) Invite to the way- SABEEL-of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided WHY SABEEL? : 5

We were not created in this life in vain, but we were created to worship Allah and guide people to Him, and each of us represents his religion and morals in the role in which he is in this life , whether he is a teacher, doctor, engineer, etc. We are all created for the same purpose, but the ways -SABEES- for it are different. 6

It is important for you to have a clear and connected path-SABEEL- to Allah, that has no end, and its impact will be remain even after your death. Allah is the Living who doesn't die, so everything that is connected to him doesn't die and end, unlike what that is connected to this word,it ends at the end of it. ِل ْل َجال و ا ْج ُه َر ِّب َك ُذ َو ى ْب َق َو َي ٍن ا َف ْن َعَل ْي َها َم ﴿ ُك ُّل ﴾ ِم َرا ْك َواإل "Everyone upon the earth will perish, And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor" . 7

CHAPTER-2 ALLAH‘S SABEEL 8

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم (said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: 'I will declare war against him who treats with hostility a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (voluntary prayers or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) until I love him, (so much so that) I become his hearing with which he hears, and his sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me something, I will surely give him, and if he seeks My Protection (refuge), I will surely protect him". ALLAH‘S SABEEL : 9

THE BASIC SABEELS: The first and most important path-SABEEL- of God that every Muslim should take is the path that God commanded in the Qur’an and Sunnah, as we mentioned in the previous hadith.(.......And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him). Then in the second place comes all charitable work (......My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (voluntary prayers or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) until I love him) 10

“(Ihsan) is that you should serve Allah as though you could see Him, although you cannot see Him, He can see you.” Rasulallah صلى الله عليه وسلم taught us that Ihsan has two degrees: The first and the highest degree of Ihsan is [mushahadah] – worshipping Allah as if you can see Him. Whoever worships Allah with awareness of His nearness, and acts as if he is before Allah, and looking at Him, is bound to fear Him and venerate Him. This is a very difficult station to reach but it is attainable. The second position is [muraqabah] – having sincerity and awareness that Allah is always watching. This person acts with an awareness that Allah sees him. He truly understands that Allah knows all his deeds, hidden and visible, inward and outward, and that nothing is hidden from Him. And this is the minimum station we all should try to achieve, because Allah s.w.t. says: “For the people of ihsan [Muhsin] – is the best and even more (the honor of looking at His Noble Face).” [Yunus 10:26 ALL ABOUT IHSAN: 11

CHAPTER-3 PURIFICATION 12

َز َّك ٰى َها ﴾] الشمس: 9] َمن َل َح ۡف َأ ۡد ﴿ َق Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing .)righteous good deeds PURIFICATION: 13

“A day in which neither wealth nor children shall be of any benefit, except one who comes to God with a sound heart” (Sūrat’l-Shu‘arā’: 88-89). The Prophet ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) is reported to have said, “In the body there is a morsel of flesh, if it is sound, the whole body is sound. If it is corrupted, the whole body is corrupted. Indeed, it is the heart”. Spiritual purification of the self is thus the essence of Islamic teachings. Knowledge of this science was traditionally learned by keeping company with good teachers and righteous companions. However, this option is unavailable to many of us. What follows is advice that I have been gathering from various scholars regarding spiritual purification. I have compiled the following as a reminder for myself and for those searching for similar advice. 14

ا﴾ ًل ي ِب ٰى َس َأ ْه َد َو َم ْن ُه ِب َر ُّب ُك ْم َأ ْعَل ُم َف ِت ِه َل ِك ا َش ٰى ْع َم ُل َعَل َي ﴿ ُق ْل ُك ٌّل ] اإلسراء: 84] English - Sahih International Say, "Each works according to his manner, but your " .Lord is most knowing of who is best guided in way Surah Al-Isra Full 16

Each one of us has a role in which he was created, and this role is his path to God, just as God did not place you in this path without its constituents. Some of us, for example, have been given the gift of writing by God, so it is possible for him to make it a way to him, and among us, who has been blessed with the talent of learning languages, so he can learn a language by which he calls people to God. 17

The morals of Islam must be in your actions before your words, this is the greatest SABEEL you take to where you reflect the beauty of Islam to others just as it was reflected inside you . 18
