Chapter one: brief introduction 1, Power safety Cautious: for safety of the person and the machine, make sure to connect the ground wire. Inkjet machine uses AC 220V/50Hz power supply. If the voltage fluctuation range is large (over 187-242V), it can cause problems such as not starting the machine, burning out the main board and motor, etc. At this time, it is necessary to install an automatic voltage stabilizer to cooperate with the use. Must use standard grounding socket. Do not cut or remove the grounding of power lines. The plugs should be accessible after the machine isinstalled in place. Power cord plugs should maintain strong contact with the socket, otherwise, may lead to fire. Do not use damaged, modified, loosened power cord or plug. Arrange the power cord and cable line neatly to prevent people from tripping down. When unplugging power cord, do not fold, twist, pull, circle or pinch power cord. Grab the plug and pull it out of the socket directly. Do not pull the power cord with wet hands. Avoid using sockets in the same circuit as devicesthat switch frequently between on and off, such as photocopiers or air conditioners. Avoid using sockets controlled by wall switches or automatic timers. 2, Attention in operation of machine The data cable should be inserted behind the computer, not in the front. Use the emergency stop switch on the machine to stop the machine when you experience an emergency . Do not put your hand inside the machine parts when operating the inkjet machine, otherwise it will cause injury. In the daily use the machine should be kept clean at all times, to avoid dust deposition. The printing carrier must be installed at the set position, otherwise it will cause the printing carrier to fall and cause damage. In addition to moving the machine or dumping waste ink, ensure that waste ink bottles are always installed on the machine in other time. Please do not put tools or other items on the inkjet machine platform or cover board so as not to cause unnecessary losses due to untimely cleaning before the operation of the machine. Always use the powerswitch to turn off the inkjet machine. (the powerswitch is behind the rightside of the inkjet machine) do not unplug the power plug or otherrelated data lines before the machine powersupply is cut off. Operatorsshould develop the habit of making operation diaries and record the best

Place the inkjet machine near a wall-grounded socket to make the plug easy to plug. A place where vibration or shake is avoided. Sufficient space is set aside around the inkjet machine to ensure the machine is well ventilated. Avoid places where temperature and humidity change easily. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, strong light, or heat sources. It is suggested that the ambient temperature of the inkjet machine be 20 to 28 degrees Celsius; the humidity be 40% to 70%. In order to make the machine run in the best condition, please install air conditioner and temperature and humidity meter indoors. Please place the inkjet machine on a horizontal, stable and larger plane than the inkjet machine. If the inkjet machine tilts or has a certain angle, the machine may not be able to perform normal work. In spring machine should be made moisture-proof, do not let the environment become wet; in summer to prevent overheating, lightning shock; autumn has dry weather, to prevent static electricity; cold weather recommended to turn on heating first, then start the inkjet machine. 4, Attention in the storage and use of Ink, cleaning liquid Please put ink and cleaning fluid in the place where the child can not get it. Take the ink lightly and do not shake it so as not to cause the ink to leak. If you accidentally eat ink, cleaning liquid, do not try to vomit out, should immediately consult a doctor. If the ink or cleaning solution is spilled into the eye , rinse it with clean water immediately . If there is discomfort , see the doctor immediately . Do not unplug the ink bottle except during transportation. Frequent pullout of ink bottles will allow air to enter the ink tube. If ink or cleaning liquid sticks to the skin, rinse immediately with soap and water. If you have burning pain or inflammation, please consult a doctor immediately. Do not put ink, cleaning fluid in open fire, electric sparks, electrostatic places, etc., also do not put just printed media in these environments, or may cause a fire. Do not put ink, cleaning liquid in the following environment, or may cause a fire. Near an open fire; high temperature; near bleach, chemicals, flammable and explosive matter, etc. Ink, cleaning fluid frozen or in high temperature for a long time (such as long distance

Chapter two: machine introduction 1, The assembly process of machine The length, width and height of the machine are: 4800mm (L) × 1000mm (W) × 1500mm (H), respectively. The machine packing box is very heavy, it is recommended to use a forklift to move. Please consider the space size of corridors, elevators and where machine is before assembling. Open the box, remove all items from the box, and place nearby for easy access. Find the screws in the package for installation. Note: please follow the bottom-up sequence for machine assembly!

After the assembly is completed, please check the horizontal level of the inkjet machine. Check that all power receptacles on the machine are well connected. Check that the voltage is normal . Verify that the printer is grounded to prevent static interference . Push the car back and forth to check if the belt and grating sensors are in place. After assembly, check that all parts of the machine are installed correctly and note that all belt binding band are removed. Power on. For the first time, please put your hand in the emergency switch in case of emergency shutdown.

(note that nozzlessurface does not touch anything else) 2, push it to the innermost end of the slot until the top. At thistime, the printhead front two slots and the carriage screw hole match, with attached screwsto fix. Asshown in the figure: 3, Install all printheads with the same steps, and connect all printheadsto the pipe in turn. Afterinstallation, as shown in the figure: 4, the printhead order isshown in the following figure: the printhead is a two-color one

After the print medium is unpacked, to prevent folding, Please lay it in a flat position. Acceptable media types: all kinds of self adhesive vinyl, flex banner, wall paper, photo paper, etc. Make sure the printing media is loaded straight from the back of the machine without tilting. The medium should be parallel to the surface of the platform. Avoid creasing, wrinkling, wet or dirty media. Cut off the damaged part before the media feed, so as not to get stuck in the machine. According to the thickness of different printing media, the nozzle height can be adjusted. For just finished printing, please put it on a flat surface, then fold, store or pack it after drying. When the printing medium is tight, press down the pinch roller. Ensure that there is a gap of 3-6mm between the medium and the pinching part of the pinch roller. If there is no clearance, it may cause medium wrinkling or stuck phenomenon.


18 / 51 http://www.smart-jet.com Guangzhou Ruizhi Digital Science&Technology Co., Ltd. 7, Attention on adding ink When adding ink, please add allthe ink in the ink bottle to avoid contamination. Use ink at 20-28 ℃, RH 40-70% humidity. Do not open the cap after the ink is injected to avoid the ink source being contaminated. Place of use: please select a well-ventilated place to avoid close to the heat source, fire source. To ensure the optimum condition of the printhead, if you need to replace another type of ink, wash the place through which the original ink flows with a cleaning fluid (including the printhead). And make sure no residue then you can replace with another ink. please use SMTJET specialized ink. Do not use any other types of ink. 1, Open the ink supply bottle cap . 2, The ink flows down the wall of the ink supply bottle as ink is added. Do not shake the bottle. Slow down to avoid bubbles. 3, Wait 5 minutes after adding ink (prevent bubbles in the tube and allow the ink to fully infiltrate into the nozzle. 4, Tighten the bottle cap after ink adding. Do not open it at will. 8, Waste ink treatment For temporary storage of waste ink, please place it in sealed durable containers, such as metal and polyethylene containers and tighten the lid. Do not put waste ink in an environment that may cause fires: near open fires; high temperatures (e.g. near heat sources); close to bleach, chemicals, flammable and explosives, etc. When removing the waste ink bottle from the waste ink place, be careful to keep it vertical and do not shake, otherwise it may cause the waste ink to splash out and cause injury. Do not incinerate or dispose of waste ink as ordinary waste. Waste ink can not be used again, which contains toxic ingredients. Do not pour waste ink into the sewer or river. Otherwise, it will pollute the environment. 1, Power off. 2, Remove the waste ink bottle. 3, Please handle the waste ink properly according to the local laws and regulations.

The temperature controller default value ofthe machine is about 40 degree Celsius. After a short period of heating, the temperature willslowly rise fromthe current temperature to the defaulttemperature. This value can be changed according to the need because ofthe different climate. 9.2 Specific operation of temperature adjustment 1, After you pressthe set key, enterthe default password 0001. 2, Enterthe settings option and select "Sv" (thatis,the temperature setting value). 3, Pressright, up, and down to adjustthe value. (recommendedmaximum temperature notto exceed 80 degrees C) 4, Aftersetting the temperature value, pressset key, press up and down key select end, pressset key exit. 5, Complete setting oftemperature. When the instrumentisin working state, pressthe increase (or decrease) key,the window display temperature setting value (Sv),then pressthe increase key,setthe value (Sv) add 1, pressthe decrease key,setthe value (Sv)subtract 1.

24 / 51 http://www.smart-jet.com Guangzhou Ruizhi Digital Science&Technology Co., Ltd 2.2 Main menu Click Main menu, hover mouse over Setting and the drop-down menu appears as shown in the following figure: 1) Save: save the parameters in the software to an XML file after the installation and calibration is complete 2) Load: import the saved parameters. 3) Save to printer: save parameters in the PM software to the main board after installation and calibration 4) Load from the printer : load parameters saved in the main board to the PM software. 5) Edit: set the printer parameters Click Main menu, hover mouse over Tools and the drop-down menu appears as shown in the following figure: 1) Upgrade: upgrade printer program 2) Password: the password required by the printer to encrypt 3) Calibration Wizard: calibrate printers 4) HW settings: hardware setting 5) Real setting: pulse width adjustment options for printheads 6) Ink statistics: printing ink statistics. Chapter five: maintenance guideline 1, cleaning of machine When the machine needs cleaning Clean the pinch roller wheel, gently wipe it with a dry wet cloth. Do not use solvent cleaning fluids (e. g. Gasoline, diluents, etc.) Please turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord before cleaning the inkjet machine. for dust around the printhead, wipe with a special cloth or dip a small amount of cleaning liquid with a cleaning rod. Never wipe the nozzle surface with any other medium, which may cause damage to the nozzle and cannot be repaired. Wash the pressure plate and gently wipe it with a dry wet cloth. Wash the pressure plate regularly. If the pressure plate becomes dirty, it will affect the printing. Clean the body, front cover, gently wipe with dry wet cloth; use dry, clean and soft cloth when wiping operation panel, display, etc. Clean the wheel, use a brush to remove dust and impurities from the wheel. 48 / 51 http://www.smart-jet.com Guangzhou Ruizhi Digital Science&Technology Co., Ltd. 3, Printhead maintenance 3.1 Maintenance of printhead after daily work After finishing all the printing operations every day, in order to keep the printhead in the best working condition, and because the inkjet machine uses solvent ink, easy to volatilize so as to block the nozzle, please follow the following methods to maintain the printhead after working every day. 1) turn off the power supply of the machine. 2) Wash the moisturizing sponge with a special cleaning fluid. 3) pour the cleaning fluid on the sponge and wet the sponge completely. 4) remove the carriage back to the carriage station and combine the nozzle with the sponge in the cleaning station. 5) keep the printhead in this state overnight. 3.2 Treatment of printhead after slight blockage 1) the nozzle is found to be slightly clogged in the process of printing. Press pause button to stop the machine. 2) using a vacuum cleaner or a manual air pump to spray ink from the nozzle and clean the nozzle. 3) after the nozzle is cleaned , remove the residual ink on the surface of the nozzle with cleaning fluid . 4) check the printhead situation carefully, find out the cause of the nozzle blockage, and make a good record. 3.3 Treatment of printhead after serious blockage 1) turn off the power supply of the machine. take off the nozzle. 2) In a clean glass container, pour appropriate amount of special printhead cleaning fluid. Place the nozzle in the glass container and immerse the nozzle. (about 2-3 mm at the bottom of the printhead) 3) seal the glass container with a plastic film and set it still for one day. (do not contact cleaning fluid with the signal interface at the top of the nozzle) 4) after soaking the nozzle, pour a proper amount of cleaning liquid into the special printhead cleaner. 5) immerse the nozzle in the cleaning fluid 2-3 mm and start the cleaner to clean the printhead. Do not wash the printhead more than three times by using the cleaner continuously, so as not to damage the printhead. 6) extract 40ml cleaning fluid with syringe. inject it from the ink supply tube interface at the top of the printhead. Observe the water line state ejected from the nozzle. If all the water lines are straight and indicate that the cleaning is effective, you can continue to use this printhead. If there is still some water line skew, re-wash 2 - 3 times. If still not valid, the printhead is broken and the printhead needs to be replaced.

Otherwise, ink will dry due to the gradual volatilization of solvents, resulting in ink breakage, no ink and other phenomena. Serious damage can even be irreversible to the nozzle. The approach is as follows: 1) turn off the power of the machine. 2) move the carriage back to the carriage station and place a corrosion-resistant container under the nozzle to hold the cleaning waste water. 3) use glass syringe to extract or directly pour out ink from the secondary ink cartridge, and then clean the ink cartridge with a special cleaning fluid. 4) unplug the ink supply pipeline connected to the ink supply bottle, connect the ink supply pipe connected to the nozzle into the waste ink bottle, and clean the ink supply pipe with special cleaning liquid. 5) extract 40ml cleaning liquid with glass syringe, and inject it into the printhead to clean the nozzle. Wash repeatedly 2-3 times. 6) after cleaning the printhead, be sure to keep enough cleaning liquid in the printhead. Cleaning liquid has a moisturizing effect on the nozzle. 7) place the treated nozzle in a corrosion-resistant container and seal it. (e.g. sealed with preservative film) 4, Influence of static electricity on machine the machine not grounded, working environment temperature and humidity and other reasons may cause static electricity. Static electricity will cause ink dropping, ink breaking and so on, which will not only affect the quality of printing image, but also damage the nozzle. Improved method: The working environment of the machine keeps constant temperature as far as possible. The temperature is controlled at 20-28 ℃. Take seriously the question of grounding. Be sure to plug the inkjet machine into a socket with a ground wire. The working environment of the inkjet machine is well ventilated and the static electricity generated by friction is transmitted out of the air. Medium selection: the roughness of the surface of the medium will directly affect the production of static electricity. Try to choose paper better, surface smooth medium. The humidity around the machine is 40-70% relative humidity. Humidifiers can be used in dry areas, or in sunny weather, to humidify the working environment of the machine.
