LCF KS1 SPANISH- Introduction The LCF KS1 SPANISH is an introduction to the Spanish language and only includes basic conversational Spanish and vocabulary. It is designed to support specialist and non- specialist teachers of Spanish. It will appeal to children of all abilities in years R, 1 and 2 giving them a fun and rewarding first experience with a modern foreign language. It is topic based and can be followed in any order making it easy to integrate into the National Curriculum.

Activity sheets are divided into three easily recognisable categories: - Activity sheets marked 1 are suitable for non-readers. - Activity sheets marked 2 are for children beginning to read. - Activity sheets marked 3 are for children who need stretching. The course consists of: - A teacher’s handbook with lesson plans – see link to the handbook here. - A link to the songs of the Los Peques music on our interactive website, Babelzone - Flashcards – see link here - A link to further games and activities on Babelzone, based on the topics covered. Links are on the appropriate pages of the book

The overall aim is to give children the ability and desire to communicate, introducing them to the sounds and patterns of the language.
