COURSE DETAILS University Institute of Fashion Technology Fashion & Lifestyle Journalism The participants will get experiential training with the best from different segments of the fashion industry. The course will include Fashion Journalism and the beauty industry connect. Workshop sessions will focus on the working of the fashion/apparel industry. The students will be trained in creative analysis for collection development or fashion styling. The sessions will also impart hands-on training for digital media usage, fashion blogging, writing for fashion magazines and conducting fashion shoots.

The Artistic Traditions of Punjab Come, live and learn Punjab's rich culture. Experience the vibrant identity of Punjab by spending a fortnight steeped in the color and design of the land of the five rivers. The vibrant, colorful, and rich crafts like Phulkari, Punjabi Jutti, Naalaparanda, Durries, Khes, Lacquer ware and Wood Inlay will be spread out before you to enjoy and appreciate. The course will connect the participants with the craftsperson for hands-on sessions in phulkari and durrie making. There will be interactive lectures from costume and textile specialists, as well as visits to museums and craft clusters.

Department of Ancient History Bharatayam: The Shaping of India The course aims to familiarize the participants with the evolution of Indian identity taking cues from the socio-cultural and religious milieu. The sessions will be a fair mix of workshop, interactive lecture, presentation and site visit. There are many sites around Chandigarh that are associated with the spirit of India and have contributed to the shaping of the Indian identity. The resource persons will be scholars who have actively crafted the Indian persona.

Department of Statistics Number Cruncher This course covers theoretical concepts with illustrations in main topics like Numerical analysis/simulation, statistical methods, distribution theory, statistical Inference, sampling theory, linear models, design of experiments, statistical quality control, stochastic processes, queuing theory, operational research and reliability. Once the theory has been explained, experts will guide the learners through lots of practice by using tasks and exercises.

COURSE DETAILS University Institute of Applied Management Sciences & ICSVS Making the Elephant Dance: The Indian Economic Revolution, Heritage and Glorious Future. Through experiential learning in the form of workshop sessions and interactive lectures, this course gives a peek into the Indian Management ethos and business practice. With sessions on the Structural Paradigm of the Indian Economy and Vedic Management, the course is an attempt to analyze the economic transformation of India. Workshop sessions on Corporate Social Responsibility and interactive talks by renowned business leaders will take participants towards an evolved perspective on contemporary business management .

Centre for Advanced Studies in Geography Know Chandigarh: Walk, Read and Deconstruct Seven decades after its construction and development, the present course seeks to understand Chandigarh as it was envisaged, conceptualized and materialized as well as its evolution into the urban entity of today. This course will work through reading, deconstructing and decoding the landscape as a text. The facilitators for this program will include experts situated at the crossroads of Geography, Urban Planning, Architecture and Cultural Studies. The major takeaway from this course will be an understanding of how local cultural traditions modify alien, exotic tangible entities like planned cities.
