GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS The culminating activity is divided into three parts. The first is the Travel Agent Fair, which will require you to utilize your communication skills in Spanish. The second part is the Bristol board that will be the written and visual support presented to the visitors during the fair. And the third part is the exam, which will focus on the reading and writing skills of the course. A. Exhibición de viajes You are representatives of a travel agency of your choice and your objective is to convince prospective travelers (students) to choose your designed summer trip for the length of 7-10 days with the budget they will be provided. As such, you will design a detailed, exciting and adventurous trip using a total budget of $9, 000.00. You have the choice to work alone, with a partner or in a group of 3; however, if working with a partner you must divide the budget, $4,500.00 each and if working in a group of 3, $3,000.00 each. B. La Cartulina (Bristol Board) As travel agents, you will be using a Bristol board for written and visual representation of your designed trip. You may also include videos, music, etc. through the use of a laptop. Ensure there is as much creativity as possible to convince the travelers that you have designed the best trip for their summer plans and given budget. Additionally, dress the part as professional travel agents or representatives of your chosen country! How to succeed To succeed and do well in this project it is necessary to complete the planning process respecting the given dates given that much preparation and one-on-one meetings with the teacher will take place. If you are not prepared for these meetings, you WILL NOT be adequately prepared for the Fair in which you are expected to be an expert in your chosen topic. 2. Absences for presentation If you are absent on the day of your presentation, you will receive an automatic zero unless you have a medical note, excusing you. A parent note will not be accepted. The other members of the group are still expected to present. Also, if a bibliography in MLA format is not submitted, you will lose 10% for each day it is late. 3. Absences for exam Same rules apply for in-class exams as the ones in June, if you are absent for the exam, you will receive an automatic zero unless you have a medical note, excusing you.
