Zentangle Class

Let’s continue on with feelings of Gratitude and Appreciation for our Zentangle practice by participating in a 2-1/2 to 3 hour Valentine’s Day inspired class.

Our practice becomes more and more an intimate part of us as we focus on our tangles and connects us with our fellow participants as we admire each other’s artwork. Each time we learn a new tangle our repertoire grows as does our passion for our practice. Tuesday, February 14 12:00pm - 3:00pm Arts & Crafts Cabin *Prior Zentangle experience recommended*

FUNctional FITness with Sue

Mondays 11:30am - 12:15pm Fit You Cabin $4 per class Registration Encouraged! NO IMPACT functional strength training and learning to improve core strength, balance and mobility for everyday life and reduce the risk of injury. Seated and standing exercises – we will use a variety of tools including resistance loops & bands, lighter dumbbells, and… furniture mover sliders & PVC pipes just to keep it fun! We will also move to the floor – with options to stay seated in a chair. There are limited weights and mats in the Fit You Cabin – feel free to bring your own.

TAI CHI with Earl Tai Chi 2 on Tuesdays 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm / Fit You Cabin / $4 per class Tai Chi 3 on Thursdays 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm / Fit You Cabin / $4 per class Tai Chi is an effective exercise for both health of mind and body. It can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits which include: Better balance & coordination, Increased muscular strength and stamina, Improved postures & biomechanics, Fall prevention, Improved circulation, Enhanced immune system, Increased Flexibility and Improved stress management.

BOXING with Earl Thursdays / 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm Fit You Cabin / $4 per class Exercise/No contact boxing exercise is one of the most effective, concise ways to get in shape and maintain your physical and mental health for both women and men. Age is no factor and you learn at your own pace and ability. Benefits include: Improved hand and eye coordination, Improved overall balance, Sharpened motor functions, Increased total body strength & cardio conditioning, Decreased stress, Improved joint mobility/range of motion.

YOGA with Padma NO YOGA WITH PADMA FROM 1/29 - 2/5, this class will be moving to ZOOM on Monday, February 6.

GENTLE YOGA with Elise Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:30 am - 10:30 am / Tree House / $4 per class Gentle Yoga is a class designed for those new to yoga, or for those who feel very restricted in their bodies. Movements are slower and poses are held longer. The entire class is normally on the mat without doing any standing poses. The focus is to link breath, mind and body together to try to create more space in each body to allow easier movement in day to day life. Modifications are offered and encouraged so each student feels safe, encouraged and invited to move in a way that is best for his/her body.

SENIOR FIT with Mia Wednesdays / 10:00 am - 11:00 am Fridays / 9:00am - 10:00am Tree House / $4 per class Senior Fit is a total body exercise class set to upbeat music. It utilizes a chair, dumbbells and resistance tubing for a complete workout. Not only does it provide some heart pumping cardio to stimulate the heart and lungs, but it also develops muscular strength and endurance by using body weight and resistance tools. In addition, exercises to target coordination, balance, stability, and flexibility are incorporated into the workout in a fun and challenging way. Please bring some water and a towel to class. This format is easily modified for all fitness levels so everyone is welcome!

ZUMBA GOLD with Mia Select Saturdays / 10:00 am - 11:00 am Tree House / $4 per class Zumba® Gold is a dance fitness class that creates a party-like atmosphere while moving to easy to follow choreography set to exhilarating music at a lower intensity. Enjoy moving to rhythms like Merengue, Salsa, Cha Cha, Flamenco, and Rock & Roll while improving your balance, coordination and fitness at the same time! It truly is a dance party that is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. All that is needed to participate is comfortable exercise clothing, supportive shoes, water, a towel and your smile!

FITwith CAMP Sue Tuesdays & Thursdays / Fitness Center Select Saturdays 8:30 am - 9:15 am & 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm $4 per class or $35 / 10 session punch card Fitness for real life with full body workouts for strength, power and mobility. Standing and floor exercises with options to intensify, or modify, as necessary.

45 minutes from warm up through cool-down – we’ll perform moves with dumbbells (light, medium, heavy) with moderate to higher intensity cardio bursts. If you prefer your own equipment, please bring your own dumbbells and/or mat. Limited Space - Registration Required.

LINE DANCING with Sharon & Jim Mondays / 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Tree House / $4 per class Line dance teaches choreographed dances with a repeated sequence of steps in which the class dances in one or more lines or rows, executing the steps at the same time. Line Dance is taught by Sharon Grantham with help from her husband, Jim, who plays the music. Sharon and Jim have been line dancing for about 11 years and, in addition to the class in TT, she teaches a class on Thursday afternoons at the VFW in Rock hill.
