RELATED ACCESSORIES • Inside Foam Closures (to match your roofing profile) • Sealant (to seal flashing joints) • Color Matching Screws • Fascia Cap • Soffits Without a drip edge, water could get behind the gutter, causing leaks & potentially damaging the structure of your roof, especially wooden facia boards where the gutters are attached. If the fascia board begins to rot, you’ll begin to experience issues with gutter performance. INSTALLATION TIP: To prevent a dripping gutter, the drip edge is installed under the roofing sheet and should completely cover the top edge of the fascia & over the gutter. It should extend beyond the fascia and a minimum 1/3 of the gutter width as shown in the illustration below:

Need a Drip Edge Trim/Flashing custom made to your requirements? Custom flashings can be made up to 10’ in length by pre-order.

DRIP EDGE (FOR ROOFS WITH NO OVERHANG) Drip Edge should be installed on roofs with no overhangs. The drip ege caps off the wall panels & protects the siding from moisture or water damage. Without a drip edge, water could get behind the siding panel & potentially damage the structure of your wall.

SOFFIT SOFFIT

NO SOFFIT

Soffit is a panel designed to cover the exposed area right under the gable & eaves overhang. It protects the inner roofing structure from pests, moisture or heat damage & improves the overall look of your roof/home. Soffits can be ventilated or solid (non-vented).

Roof Edges

VENTILATED SOFFITS: Ventilated soffits features small holes that allow air to travel in and out of the roof area; it allows heat or moisture to escape & fresh air to enter. Fresh airflow throughout the roof space ensures that your roof remains dry and free from moisture damage on sheeting and roof structure.

NON VENTILATE SOFFITS: Solid Soffits no holes and is a solid panel used to completely seal the eaves of your roof however, if you still require require air circulation, there are other products that you can install to create air flow through the roof area: Soffit vents

Gable Vents

Wind Turbines

Ridge Ventilation

Solid Soffit is available in: • White Aluminum (12" coverage x 12' long - in stock) Solid Soffit is available in: • White Aluminum (12" coverage x 12' long - in stock) • KSM custom soffit (KSM designed to cover 14") -width and design can be customized to your requirements -sold at any length up to 10' long by pre-order

DOES MY ROOF NEED SOFFIT? It protects your roof from structural damage... __________ -without soffits, your attic and rafters are vulnerable to rain being blown in. Water causes moisture damage - mildew, mold and rot are likely to occur and is the cause of roof rot and poor air quality.

It protects your roof from bats, birds, insects and other pests... __________ -without soffits, it is easy for these pests to make their homes under your roof or attic space damaging your roof and things like your electrical systems. These pest can also contribute to unhealthy air quality.

It improves insulation to some extent... __________ -without soffits, your energy bills can increase, since heat and cold air can easily travel through the exposed underside of the roof, meaning you have to either heat or cool your home more.

It provides support for your gutter system & adds curb appeal to your home. __________ Our aluminum and metal soffits are very durable and water-resistant & can also be used for interior paneling. Other budget friendly soffit panels e.g Wooden or PVC are easily damaged over a short period of time by heat & moisture.

8

FASCIA Fascia is a metal flashing that covers the exposed vertical (upward) edges of your roof at the gable & eaves overhang. Like soffits, a fascia protects the inner roofing structure from pests, moisture or heat damage & improves the overall look of your roof/home.

FOAM CLOSURES

Side Wall Flashing

In order for a metal roof to be completely weatherproofed, you must use foam closures to fill the gaps left between the roofing sheets and the structure of the roof. These strips of foam prevent dust, wind-driven rain, birds, insects and other animals from getting into your roof/building at the ridging, hip, valley and eaves. Foam closures are designed to easily fit to any profile and are available solid or vented.

Outside Foam Closure (Available for R panel, Corrugated & Metal Tile Roofing) •Use on a horizontally installed ridge (straight line across) •O.F.C matches the width of the roofing panel hence one closure fits one sheet •O.F.C is designed with interlocking ends to provide a continous seal (except for the corrugated foam) **** IMPORTANT: The 30” long - Corrugated Foam Closure matches the profile of the 32” wide corrugated sheet. Contact a sales rep to help calculate the amount of foams you would require when using the 43” Wide Corrugated Sheet.

VENTILATED FOAM CLOSURE

a water-retardant, insect resistant barrier which improves roof ventilation.

Flex-O-Vent Foam (ROLL) This foam closure allows hot air to escape from the roof & allows fresh air to infiltrate the building. This is necessary for moisture control; fresh flowing air helps control the humidity that builds in your attic, which can cause mold.

Inside Foam Closure (Available for R panel, Corrugated & Metal Tile Roofing) •I.F.C fills the gaps at the eaves ends of sheets •I.F.C matches the width of the roofing panel hence one closure fits one sheet •I.F.C is designed with interlocking ends to provide a continous seal (except for the corrugated foam) **** IMPORTANT: The 30” long - Corrugated Foam Closure matches the profile of the 32” wide corrugated sheet.
