VIDYA VIHAR VISTA 2021-2022
"EDUCATION IS A SHARED COMMITMENT BETWEEN DEDICATED TEACHERS,
MOTIVATED STUDENTS AND ENTHUSIASTIC PARENTS WITH HIGH EXPECTATIONS" My dear Parents, Teachers and Students I was always attracted to the thought – Home is the first school and School is the second
home. In fact, today it has come true. Coronavirus has altered our life including our school
system, teachers, children and parents. Let’s avoid the negativities and look into positivity.
Our homes have become schools and parents have become teachers too. Unimaginable!
But it’s a fact we have to live with now and invariably it is happening- whether we are rich
or poor, far or near. E-learning has emerged as the best way of imparting education. Today, the role of a school is not only to pursue academic excellence but also to motivate and
empower the students to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of an
ever-changing global society. Converting every individual into a self-reliant and independent
citizen, our school provides an amalgam of scholastic and co-scholastic activities.
The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to
pause and reflect on this entire system of Education. A committed and supportive
management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to
create this school as a child-centric school. Our staff fruitfully employ two diverse
strategies that are of Love and Logic to foster a positive learning environment for all our
students. Love and Logic may seem like two contrasting forces. While love helps nurture
trusting relationships, where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by the
teachers, logic helps develop in students personal responsibility, self control, good
decision making skills, self confidence, and character building with high moral values.Your
child’s learning involves and revolves around an effective partnership between home &
school. We know the stronger the partnership is the more your child will benefit. There is something for everyone here. The variety and creativity of the articles in the
magazine pages represent the talents of Vidya Vihar. I congratulate the entire team for
their hard work and dedication for making this magazine. The reflection of the students’
and teachers' creativity is the epitome of the magazine. I am sure that the positive
attitude, hard work, sustained efforts and innovative ideas exhibited by our young children
will surely stir the minds of the readers and take them to the fantastic world of unalloyed
joy and pleasure. “Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those who don’t
take rest on the laurels of the past” I appreciate all the editorial Team,School Parliament members, teachers and our children
for their contribution to VIDYA VIHAR VISTA.

Parenting is the biggest responsibility one can take up. The future of your children is in your
hand, and that is a big job at hand. The journey is tough but rewarding as well. As you see your
children grow to become adorable, caring, sensible and responsible, you feel satisfied about a
job well done. And to keep you motivated ,I shares parenting quotes that are inspiring ,and
reflect your love and care, and the relationship with the child. This quote will reassure you that you are on the right path. “Parents are the ultimate role models for children. Every word, every movement, and the action
affects. No other person or outside force has a great influence on a child than a parent”---
BobKeeshan Parents can play a key role in helping nurture a good sibling relationship and reduce sibling
rivalry and conflict. By encouraging activities that foster teamwork, setting kids up to have fun
together , and giving kids the tools to work out conflicts in a constructive and respectful manner,
parents can help siblings develop a good relationship that will carry them through the rest of their
lives. Explain to your children and remind them periodically that family, and especially siblings, can be
the kind of unshakable love and support that cannot easily be matched. STELLA VINCENT VICE PRINCIPAL
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.
Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it." -Michael Jordan.
When covid-19 epidemic struck - panic, worry and frustration did outburst. There was a lot of doubts mainly at the area of education on how to proceed further and the situation itself was completely clueless but the ability to tinker and adapt and the strength to manifest facing the obstacles to clear out and lead on the path forward is in the spirits of Vidya Vihar. The year
2021-22 according to us Viharians is an example that no obstacle in existence can tremble our foundation. Being the 22nd School Captain with four years of experience being in the parliament and
leading this year's team that represents our school has become the biggest part of my
identity now. For me getting the post was one thing but the real objective is to create a
simulation of offline schooling through online platforms and major recognition for this year's
team of parliament who worked their way through this pandemic. Every student deserves
their school life to be memorable and I as their captain didn't want a pandemic to lose their
spirits about the joyful and pleasant schooling experience and I wanted to ensure that by the
end of this year all the classes from KG to 12th knew exactly that given the opportunity
anyone can make a drastic situation bloom flowers. Online schooling put forth a lot of limitations but nothing is impossible if you set your mind
into overcoming those limitations. We had our parliament election to elect the school captain,
school vice captain, fine arts secretary, sports secretary, magazine editor, house captains and
house vice captains for the houses Prathibha, Prerana, Vasudha and Vipula. All the four
houses were assigned their respective house mistresses. We have been very lucky to have a
virtual investiture ceremony soon after our election. All the student leaders - the members of
the student council has been elected for one reason - to play their part in representing who
they are and what they did. We wanted to show that not a single step taken by our school
authorities in forming the parliament had been put to waste. The parliament as a team was
successful in working strategically and completing the works given in time. We used to break
a big project into tasks and used to complete it by setting deadlines for each task. The
strategic method is promised to bring out the keen sense of responsibility and team work a
leader should have. Practicing and moving forth like this is how I led my team of 13 parliament
members – focusing on each individual and their commitment towards their duty. I’m
honoured to bring up broad mindedness and team spirit amongst my team with the goal of
preparing them to take up my position in the coming years
In the year 2021-22 the school parliament has been a part in conducting: - Virtual Arts Competitions (with inter house competition) to bring out the talented, Virtual Sports Day
(with inter house competition and virtual mass drill) which was mainly intended to create
the essence of school life tasteful. We released the first ever E-magazine of our school
which we consider as a great success. Interview with Mrs. Priya which was intended to teach
social skills and the power of exposure to our students. Virtual Art and Craft Exhibition to
signify the importance of art and craft in our daily life and how it represented the role of
teaching us moral values. House wise virtual Debate competition and Virtual Conference
was conducted for enhancing the language and communication skills. The formation of
WhatsApp groups for the student council and all the four houses was a really large step
taken by the school for the easiness of the working of the parliament. The house points and
house cup just as we had in the offline years had been the main goal for the house
department and the healthy competition and the goal to win the house cup is what I believe as the beauty of house events. On behalf of my team let me say that the student council is much honoured to have played
a part in organizing these events.I feel immense pride and honour to have addressed my
friends as their head girl. None of that would have been possible without the constant
support and encouragement that I've been provided with throughout the years. I express
my sincere gratitude towards our principal of the school Mrs. Usha Nandakumar and vice
principal Mrs. Stella Vincent for believing in the strength of the student council and giving us
endless opportunities to prove our worth by sanctioning many of our ideas. Managing
trustee Advocate KV Mohanakrishnan Sir, PTA vice president Shafeer Ali Sir, Staff head of the parliament Mrs. Veena, CCA coordinator Mrs. Sulabha, the house
mistresses, section heads, teaching and non teaching staffs, not a single event would have
taken place successfully if not for your constant support, thank you for entrusting me with
the most transformative responsibility I have ever had. Thank you to the whole team of student council whom I consider as the best. I could not
have asked for a better team to have carried out my plans with enthusiasm and energy.
Special thanks to my Vice Captain Parvathy B who have been the most perfect companion I
had this year. My gratitude extends towards the entire student Viharians, my mom, my
family, 12th batch, the alumni, the previous school leaders the support of each and every
one of you keeps the spirits up for the student council. From the bottom of my heart I thank
each and everyone and the almighty for the blessings bestowed upon us. My dear friends who took the time to read this, what matters is the kind of people we are
and the kind of impact we create. This year my friends I want you to try and make an
impact, you to try and change someone's life, to try and inspire someone, to try and make
memories that will last you a lifetime. This year's parliament worked to create a change
and set an example being the voice of the entire school and let me pledge that whether we
have a badge and you do not doesn't matter as long as we come from the same school
and so does our hearts beat as one. Thank you Ilham Nadhir School Captain

become in participating and taking initiative in all the activities. And we would like to thank our principal ma'am and school leader for leading the way and give all the support that we needed.
Bringing unity amoung people is one of the toughest thing to do in an organization. Well ,
maintaining that unity is even harder. So a special thanks to our house mistress Ms. Seetha who
brought unity to our house. It was an immense task for us to work online but our School
Captain and School Deputy Captain led us in the right path. With all the challenges that we
faced, we still managed to make the best out of it. Facing challenges are the preparations for
the upcoming Hindrances. Ilham Nadir(School Captain) was a real motivation for us, who led the team delightfully. She

assigned certain duties and responsibilities as per her instructions and every members of our

difficult , the house dealt it with interest and hard work. It was the first step that we took in
learning responsibility, commitment and that too taught us how to do smart work as well as the
value of hard work. Team work is the most important thing in a group of people and we have watched every single

I closed my eyes Between the voids of unconsciousness And unfathomable slumber In the obscure depths of my mind I recognized someone Whom I lost long ago. A face as familiar to me As my own eyes stood In the corner of a place I know, yet I don’t I saw you as you were A long time ago In the veiled memories Of my by gone childhood Startled I stood For a second or two Before I ran towards you And hold your hands As if to assure myself That you were present In this altered reality in this moment A wave of recognition Washes away all uncertainties, It was undoubtedly the hand I hold onto while I hopped All the way home, from school.

Sulit (adj)something that is worth it
The times when one sets their foot in a dirty puddle only to get themselves
drenched are numerous. Human life is so unfair that we step in many puddles one
after the other now and then , sometimes unknowinglyor else with consent. Even
though some might enjoy it or some may curse it at the moment. Some it may
look at it as a nostalgic memory to reminisce in the near future. We may not like it
then our foot steps in these puddles at the moment but do we think of it as a
second chance to be more conscious of ourselves? As it is said ,we must learn from everything around us and one of whose examples
can be taken is the puddle incident. We go home , we tidy up ourselves , we wash
our feet a bit more and the next day we avod the same puddle but few paces
apart we may step in to another puddle. That is just how life is, its an endless chain
of puddles where we keep on getting in one after the other. Soon enough, we start
enjoying it , the next time we get drenched in a puddle we take it as fun or else we
teach ourseles not to step in once again. We keep on gaming through this endless cycle. Whenever life gives us another
puddle , we step in it courageously romantizing our life. When we are good at the
situation, we start enjoying the moment, may be future too and see the puddle as
a new opportunity. Every puddle teaches us something till we are stern enough to
take it as a challenge more over like a lesson from which we should learn. Evertthing may seem hard but we shall not give up. Remember all these will
always be a worth at the end.

The secret garden -II
A bright, sunny morning at missedwaite manor. There came a lady , tired but beautiful,
almost fainted , near the steps of the manor. There were gaurds all around watching
her. She just had three words on her tongue..." can I here?" and then she fainted. The
gaurds called the servants and took her to the verandah. After sometime , she woke up
and saw many people around her. they asked her "Where are you from ?" " Why did you
come here?" . She diddn't have an answer for the first question as she was unaware of it
. She just wanted to say that she was without food for months and she had only some
nuts and fruits from some trees. She had been living alone in the dark and hardly any
food to eat . It was informed that after an accident she was brought to a hospital and as
she seemed week , her family was informed she is died. From there, she was then taken
to a dark place . From there she eacaped and a sweet family accepted her , she lived
there for a month. though she didn't want to live them . She wished to find her real
family. In that journey, she come there . Everyone was alarmed and felt sorry for her. To
calm her up , the maid Medlock took her to the secret garden which was the happy
garden , then with the children. They all did some gardening and got to know each other
very well. Finally when it was evening they were about to leave Dickon find some similarities in Colin and the lady. He asked her what her name was - 'Lilias ' she replied.
She told,"it was what people at the dark place told me ".Diccon was familiar with the
name and asked her once more -"What was the accident?" she replied,"They told me I
fell from a tree and I was hurt severly ." " Was it in a garden ?" asked Diccon. She
thought for a while and said " I think so...... I don't remember ".These all happend . When Craven was on his business trip , he reached there at night to see the lady , he
was amazed... it was his lady ... he asked Diccon "What had happend ?" . He announced
that his dead wife was found alive and they had a feast to celebrate it . Colin was more
happy to see his mom , who couldn't believe her eyes that he grew up too big. Colin and
Mary shared everything about how their lives changed and Liliyana was too excited to
hear those next moments which she missed in her life with family . Next morning -
Everyone even the children gathered in the secret gardner Ben . They all slept there in a

the Q1 hotel and resort. From the balcony of the building I was able to see the golden
sandy beaches and mesmerising blue waters. The most exciting part about this city was
the different varieties of theme parks. I was able to experience Disney themed Movie
world where I got to see all my favourite cartoon characters in real life such as bugs,
bunny and Mickey Mouse. At SeaWorld, which was full of aquatic animals from all
around the world, I could enjoy dolphins perform circus tricks and see penguins
swimming underwater. Another highlight was walking through the largest underwater
aquarium where I saw thousands of exotic fishes. Not only did I get to see them but also
I was able to touch stingrays, starfish and dolphins. My next journey was to Sydney
where I stayed at the Meriton apartments for 7 days with a surrounding view of the
Sydney harbour bridge and the beautiful Sydney opera house. Once I arrived there I
travelled to the Sydney opera house by a city cat(speed boat) and got to walk around
the surroundings. After that, I made my way to Madame Tussaud’s wax museum where I
got to take pictures with the wax statues of all my favourite celebrities. My next
destination was to the blue mountains in the outskirts of the city. I travelled up the
mountain on a glass cable car with a view of all the mountainous terrain. After that I
was able to hike through the bushes of the dense forests to reach an old coal mine
which is a historic sight. My journey came to an end after long road trip from Sydney to
Brisbane which took me through many coastal towns and heritage listed national parks
in the Australian outback. Overall, my trip to Australia is one of the biggest highlights in
my life. After a month, I travelled to Singapore. Singapore had heaps of delicious food.
At Marina Bay Sands, I was able to enjoy shopping at the largest complex and also
eating at a delicate restaurant which served food, I’ve never tried before; filet mignon
steak with beer battered chips. After having wonderful holiday trip to these dream
holiday destinations it was a very sad journey back home to Cochin Airport. Sreedevika K P VII A
Alone Hopeless years were they, Life seemed more bitter. Even the smiles were fake, they were simply imposters. And left me alone in the
darkness. It looked like a horror movie. But nothing made me alone. I fought against the darkness, and defeated all the worries. There came the luckiest
moment I ever had in my life.
The night Beneath the stars I am laying Beyond the stars unknown. Something special about this
feeling, The stars, the moon, the
darkness Pause: I wish this moment stays still, as the stars peep into my soul

She is my cute young sister, an outstanding songstress, who loves singing. I love my lucky charm, caring and understanding. I trust her like a best friend My most valuable treasure, always there to support me. Like a rare gem, which can't be found everywhere. I am lucky to have her, as my little cute sister. I wish I will be there, to care her throughout the life. She is a little trickster. I love you my sister.

Voicemates Many may not be familiar with her name. Anamika is an Indian author as well as a
blogger. She is also a motivational speaker in India and composed many one-of-a-
kind masterpieces! After her debut book "Too hard to handle", she felt motivated
to write Voicemates! I got this book when my mom bought it for me. I read it and
fell in love with it. It is about the story of a kind, obedient and intelligent girl named Tulip and an
easy going, flirty yet sweet boy, Sam. Both led different lives. Tulip Was from a
wealthy family whereas Sam belonged to middle class family. Both of them
happened to meet each other on one reason- music. It was super expected how
they met. They were given and gifted with breathtaking voices. Voicemates was a
reality show aired on TV in which a single couple wins each season. On their
surprising journey to succeed their dreams they met their ups and downs.
Voicemates offered a thrilling adventure for both Sam and Tulip. Do you think they will fall in love with each other? Well, read the book yourself
and check it out .
Aswathy Menon VIII A An eternal realization Everything has turned upside down When I realised I am alive. Life is nothing but is stopping place, A stop on
whats meant to be. Its a place to rest along the way, to sweet and
sour eternity. We all have different Journeys, and different parts along the way We are meant to learn many but never ever meant to stay. Our destiny is a place, so much better than we know. For some, the journey is quicker, and for
others it might be slow.

Establishment of Anandpur Sahib
The Khalsa stood the strongest, Oh my ,oh my dear men, how many To the alarmed emperors wonders Guru trusted his beloved Panj Piare, have you seen? Many wouldn’t you say! Owners of the two edged swords Hadn’t you and I admired those beauty, When the Rajas and Mughals held hands Beauty built with blood of brave men And the wars began.
Frist battel of 1700, Guru and Paindara Khan A city of big men have you seen? from the Mughals fought till the end, A unique turban they wear, To be seen with the death of the latter, And strong physique they own, Ad so, did they flee for the loss. Anandpur Sahib I say But nothing ended there The city at edge of the mighty Shivaliks, four years of breath, The beauty near the flowing Sutlej To destroy their Powerful resistance, Sending men after men , The ‘City of Bliss' in the Holy Punjab but no victory they won The city that stand on the sacrificed lives! But again, not they gave up, After all those failures, Oh men we learn history They had to think nasty, And this is no mystery And so left them to starve , can’t they Oh let me ,oh let me tell you that history For they rule the land Which once was Anandpur Sahib’s story
Later again, With safety, out of Anandpur! The Great Guru Teg Bahadur, Offers laid to them , which was accepted found Chakk Nanaki, he gave But no safe was it as said, the name, after his mother, The loses they had were many The powerful Khalsa formed by Children , women and all their loved ones Guru Gobind Sing, I say , Laid dead for them to weep Had a heart soft as a feather, But you see ,the lives they lost , the sacrifices they made, And physique hard as rock, Never went in vain Used for no war,but to guard their own self Not the least they gave up . The pain of their loss lighted the fire Again , fought their rival Oh thinking men, still will you stand, For victory at last was their’s Seeing sword pointed to your ‘soul’ And so , Ananpur Sahib Was Born Again!

Dear Muthacha, All my life, I cherish your memories and the time we spent together. I still
remember the day, when you asked me to write a story. But how well can a 9-
year-old girl write? So, you told me "I will give you the thread and you can
elaborate it beautifully to make it a sensible story." At that time as a kid, I wrote
something, but you didn't tell me that I needed to improvement , instead you told
me "one of my descendants has got the real talent in writing. As any other child, who always likes to be appreciated, I too was excited after this
and I started to scribble something or the other with a feeling that I am writing
stories . Every time I gave you my writings, you told me ‘'yeah, it's good and you must
continue writing" I was keen on visiting Kochi whenever I got a chance. If someone ask me, "why
should you go to Kochi when there’s no one over there to play with? ", I used to
reply "No, I have my Muthachan there and he’s my play mate and that’s more
than enough for me’’. But the true reason I like to visit you was that whenever I planned to come to you, I
would have at least a dozen stories in my mind to tell you. And you are the one
and only person who sat patiently with me and listened to whatever I said. Time passed and you grew old.... You would often call me over phone, when we
were apart and we both used to talk for a long time till someone interrupted our
talks. On your 79th birthday we spent the day together and it was a memorable
day too . You told me that you felt very happy. I didn't know at that time, what you
mean by that... I remember, During the lockdown days I called you to give some suggestions of
how to escape from boredom, like Muthcha, you could watch the movie ‘Summer
in Bethlehem’ or some social satires like ‘Thateem Mutteem’ and so on.i still
remember your words after watching them telling me , "yeah, they are good ones
". Once when I came to Kochi to stay with you during my vacation, I gave you a
little wine to taste and after a sip you told me "haa it's good, I like it’’, but I
understood that you didn't like it, but you pretended so, just to make me happy. I
know you are so concerned about me and my happiness. I know you had a special passion for stories. Why am I telling you this is, whenever
I called you, I used to tell you the stories of some movies which I have recently
watched. Whether you liked them or not, you used toshare your opinions openly
with me.
I still remember that day. You were sitting with me on the sofa and I just came
and lay down in your lap. That night I told you the story of the movie 'koode'
and after listening to that story, you told me, “the story is good but I don't like
the part where the girl dies.” I just felt like I wanted to relieve you from that
thought, so I just told you the story of movie, Godha and after that you went to
sleep and I promised you to tell you some more stories the next day. The next day I woke up hearing the commotion at home and I saw , you were
not well and you were being taken to the hospital. Then everyone consoled me,
telling me that you will be alright and will be back home soon, but when I saw
you again you were not able to hear me or reply me. You left me for ever. The
least expected had happened. Then It is really a great loss in my life. But I still
believe that you are with me. The reason why I write this is, I wrote a new poem
today and I wanted you to listen to it and correct my errors . But you are not
there with me. But I can assure you that I inherited the real skill of writing from
my Muthachan. I am very proud to say to the world that I have got the best
grandfather in the world. Parvathy B Role of education in children Education plays a vital role in one's life. It could be a weapon to success. Education of a child begins at home. It certainly determines the
quality of an individual's life. It improves one's knowledge, skills and also develops
personality and attitude. A highly educated individual is likely to get a better job. First
of all, education teaches the ability to read and write. It makes an individual a better
client of Technology. People become more mature when they are educated. It enables
individuals to express their views efficiently. When we look into the significance of
education in the society, we understand that it helps in spreading knowledge in the
society. It makes a difference in the advancement of Technology. Education is a Ray of
light in the darkness. It certainly is a hope for good life. Education is a basic right of
every human on this planet. Uneducated youth is always a headache to every Nation
and humanity. So All the Nations must promote education in their country.

Wuthering heights Wuthering heights is a classic novel written by Emily Brontë, considered as an "evergreen classic" by many
readers. The author of the book Emily Brontë was born on 30 July 1818 in thornton, Yorkshire, England,
had a tragic family past. She was the fifth of six children . Her mother died of cancer when she was young.
Her two sisters then died of tuberculosis, which Emily was affected right after sometime of publishing her
only book "Wuthering heights " And died at the age of 30. The book Wuthering heights was the first classic novel I have ever read or we could say it was the book
which made me fall in love with reading. The story touched my heart in a different way and I believe it was
because of the way the author portrayed each and every characters feeling through a whole different
persons point of view . The book "Wuthering heights" deals with the life of a character named "heathcliff"
who was despised by others for not having a second name. Heathcliff's hatred towards the peoples is
clearly shown in his ruthless attitude . Heathcliff was brought to Wuthering heights by Mr Earnshaw. Mr
Earnshaw's son hintely held a deep hatred towards heathcliff and equally were tortured by hintely. Above
all, the hatred and despise heathcliff faced had broken his heart and made him runaway was his
sweetheart Catherine's decision of choosing Edgar linton, Heathcliff's sworn enemy. The story takes a
drastic change here and that too not in a good way. By the end of the story the characters meet with a
tragic fate and those events deeply touched my heart. The English used in this chapter is the native and
old language of England which was hard for me to understand. At the end, what I understood from the
book is how a person is deeply affected by the people around him, which is one of the biggest reason why
I recommend this book for others to read. Also this book is dealing with heavy emotions which can be
triggering sometime. But at the end I felt it was worth my time, of reading this book.

My Quarantine In my life I have two dreams, 1] I should be capable to continue whatever my parents started, 2] I want to be
independent and my parents should be happy for what I am. I am delighted because I have always made my family
proud and never left my mother’s head down. When the pandemic started, I was desperate and I thought I won’t be able to do my extra activities along with my
studies . I missed so many programmes like group dance, arts fest, sports day, Sahodaya, Onam celebration Christmas
celebration, school trip, annual day and tons and tons of fun. I am an extrovert and I cannot stay at home doing nothing
for more than 3 days but I was forced to stay at home due to the pandemic . It was too difficult for me to accept the
reality so I was not able to focus on my studies and I always blamed the virus for everything but then I realised that I
have so much time and I can do so many things other than eating, drinking and sleeping. On that day I decided to
change my routine and told to myself that I cannot wait until I get blessed to solve a problem, I should be the one to
change every problem into a blessing. From then I started trying new things by sitting at home. I started to draw and
tried lots and lots of different things. Now I gained a lot of things and I am exceedingly proud to announce it because not every normal 15yearold can do what
I am doing right now. Today I feel like I am beyond the bounds as I have got 2 awards by the age of 13, two diplomas in
dance at the age of 14 and I am a teacher at the age of 15. I am working for the development of Saalabhanjika, our
dance studio and earning 2000/- per month. I developed my painting skills and at present I am painting 8 feet long wall.
I am so happy to do all these activities while studying and this has all happened due to this pandemic. I have heard so many thoughts and its real that this virus has really affected so many lives, even it was difficult for me
to accept at first but I would like to convey through my life not to blame any problem for the difficulties in life because
they are big, it’s just you are too small to accept it. Whenever you understand this, you will grow big to accept your
problems and live your life to the fullest.

FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE AS AN ENTREPRENEUR Degas famously said that art is not about what you see, but about what inspires others to see. In
other words, rather than considering ourselves from our perspective as creators, we also have to
consider the audience/client and customer's perspective. Getting started with a small business may seem simple, but not everyone 1nds it straightforward.
The 1rst time when I thought of starting a business, I was a little confused, how do I run both
business and my studies. But my parents and cousins gave me the con1dence that I can handle
both my business and my education. It is said that everyone may not have talents and creativity.
Thus I decided to stage my creativity in the 1eld of handicrafts. It was named ALPHASTRING since it was commenced in the year 2020, we changed it to ALPHASTRING_20. My small business is all
about art and crafts. Customization is always a good idea, whatever kind of gift it is. Gift hampers,
explosion boxes, chocolate bouquets, we supply all kinds of presents. In the beginning, it was quite
hard to make gifts with much perfection And to complete the work in timeframe. After making a
lot of gifts, it was easy for me to do everything pretty. And so on and so far, I love doing those
cute little things that make me happy. Unlike making gifts, prize-giving for each personalized gift
was so difficult. In fact, my small business is incomplete without the support of my sister. She
helps me a lot in making hoops, writing calligraphy etc. She is also a part of my small business. I
will share a little fun experience, one that made me confused and another that made me believe
that we can do something with nothing. The 1rst is about an explosion box, it is a cute gift stuff.
Everyone thinks that it's very easy to do but really it's tough. I took the correct measurement and
made the box. It was a 2 layered chocolate explosion box I made the 1rst layer and pasted pattern
papers and chocolates, then the second layer. I did the same after everything I've put on the box
lid. Due to the heaviness of the chocolate, it was tough for me to put the lid on . It was already
midnight, I have to deliver the order in the morning itself. At the same time , I didn’t have enough
papers to redo that box. Thus I was really confused on what to do. Not even the slightest idea
struck me. Everyone was asleep and I was the only person who was awake that night, it was
nearly 1 o’clock. I thought of an idea with which I cut and made the second box, even smaller ,then
closed the lid. Thanks to god , it came flawlessly. and I was able to deliver it just in time. And the
next one, like I said before I made something with nothing, I received the order on the eve of their
anniversary, and it was given by my cousin. We had nothing then no paper, no cardboard, literally
nothing was available, it was lockdown then and we could do nothing. we had a stock loop with us
and after searching a lot I found a couple of small Rowers, we painted the hoop with the red
colour and took a white paper piece and glued the paper with the loop and wrote inside it,
BOMBSHELL! it turned out to be awesome, it became a rare work that I haven’t seen yet on
Instagram. This was my second experience where we thought it is going to be ruined and a
disaster but turned great later. And I received the best reviews, I was so happy. When I share all
these you may think when I do find time to make gifts, I too had the same doubt. When 10th grade
exams are coming up, I should score good my mind was filled with numerous doubts. Every day
except Sunday and Saturday I have classes, it starts in the morning and have online classes in the
evening. After my busy schedule , I am free during nights. There I 1nd the night to 1nish my orders.
And handmade gifts frequently leave the receiver feeling loved. The main part is customers
review, all the reviews shared by the customers were great, their good comments about gifts
make goosebumps in me and that's in a nutshell, all about my little journey in the 1eld of
handicraft, which is still going on……..
